Aitor San Martin

My name is Aitor. I'm half Madrilenian and half Navarrese. At the very young age of 12 years old, I spent an entire summer at Yale University to master my English. Traveling around the globe is my passion. I love spending my summer days with my family and friends in Navarre, my homeland. After graduating with my Master's Degree in Tourism, I consider myself a traveling tailor.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Spain is my country and Madrid is my hometown! I have traveled across Spain by car, by train, by plane... even by bike! Lucky for me, I live in a country with an outstanding variety of possibilities to discover and enjoy, so that I can advise you better. My friends and I love wandering around villages, mountains, and lakes. I am also into the foodie & gourmet culture, so with respect to gastronomy, I can be your solution!
"

How did you get involved in travel?

"I always wanted to study Tourism at university, so I really pursued my goal and I cannot be happier ever since I made that decision! After university, I started working at a large tour operator company in Madrid. Lucky for me, I even had the opportunity to work abroad, so now I am proud to say that so far I have lived quite an interesting journey, along with good friends and colleagues that have shared their lives with me. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"That has to be the first time I fell snow melting in my hands, at the Pajares Mountain pass! I was just a kiddo, probably 3 or 4 years old. The landscape and the vibes coming from the mountain took my breath away...
Another rather astonishing travel experience was that time in Mexico when I visited Laguna de Sánchez (Nuevo León) with my family and had the opportunity to enjoy and taste hand-made, fresh tacos, completely prepared at that very moment for us. That was the true taste of Mexico there (we had a blast!)."
