Working the last 15 years in travel has provided me with extensive knowledge of the country and allowed me to help many travelers design their perfect trip.

The curiosity to continue knowing new places and learning about different ways of life is something that has never left me. I am passionate about discovering every corner of my country, and I want to share with you what my country has to offer!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in customizing trips to be perfect for each individual traveler. Family trips, luxury travel, honeymoons, naturalist excursions. A mix of culture, nature, and adventure that can be combined with hiking, biking, rafting, rural experiences, birding, etc."

How did you get involved in travel?

"Since I was a child my parents took my siblings and me to new places around Guanacaste every time they could. Once, my father decided to explore a new place out of our province and he took my sister and I to the South Caribbean Coast, specifically to the Bri Bri Indigenous Reserve which was a tremendous cultural shock when I was only 14 years old. I was amazed to have crossed almost the entire country, so it turned my interest into a passion. That's why I decided to study to be a Naturalist Guide, a career that would allow me to explore the beauty of this country by sharing my knowledge and experiences with other people."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I will never forget my first rappelling tour in a deep canyon of the Arenal Volcano region. It included 4 waterfall rappels of different heights, which, personally am not a fan of!

I was scared and almost cried, my legs were shaking every step I took. Once I figured out what I was doing, it was really fun and exciting though!

It was a full combination of nature, adrenaline, and safety. With adrenaline pumping, my first jump from the highest waterfall became the first step in deciding to keep experiencing more adventures like it. So far, I have done it 4 times. I love it!"

The trip was well planned and fantastic.! We loved the rafting in La Fortuna,. The hot springs were great. The zip-line in Monteverde and suspension bridges were fun. All transfer drivers were polite and on time. Instead of the Sloth Territory tour I would probably do the waterfall hike or a different sloth place since we didn’t see much. The hotels were fine and what I expected since that was not our focus. I would recommend Beatriz!

We really tried to match every experience that best suits your interests, and I am very happy that we have managed to do so. We will revise how we can improve the sloth tour for a better experience, I wanted you to enjoy it more. Thank you for your feedback.

We booked two excursions for our one week stay in Costa Rica in November. One, out of San Jose, was to Poas Volcano and then La Paz waterfalls and nature park. Just magical! Our other excursion was from Puerto Viejo, the Cahuita national park. Our guide was Shailo Rose and he was charming and such a wealth of information about local plants and animals and growing up in the area. This was my wife's favourite day. To be honest we had two free days to walk around San Jose and I think one would have been sufficient. We would have loved to have had an extra day in Puerto Viejo!
