I am Costa Rican born and raised in Barva, the oldest settlement of the Central Valley. I was a Foreign High School Exchange Student to the State of Oregon before earning my degree in Business Administration. My brother Alex and I have served in the young Costa Rican Inbound Travel Industry since the late 80's working for the pioneers of ecotourism in Costa Rica and we've worked extensively and passionately in all capacities before starting our own Team Tachiz Travel Costa Rica in 2002. Through the decades, we have orchestrated vacations for general interest travelers as well as the most discerning, special interest travelers and have worked with groups of all sizes. We have become friends and developed profound and authentic personal connections with most of the current managers and owners of the hotels, tourism suppliers and communities' members who are key for our crafted unique itineraries. They help us in making sure you enjoy a wonderful Costa Rica experience. We live in Costa Rica. We also constantly travel throughout the country and really do get to know and stay up to date with what only Costa Rica can offer and what it cannot offer at any given time.

How did you get involved in travel?
"After being a high school foreign exchange student in the State of Oregon in the mid-eighties, I returned to Costa Rica and started serving visitors from all over the world with life-enhancing and mutually rewarding experiences for the visited and for the visitors. My brother Alex and I are very dedicated 24/7 as you can see on our reviews and we truly stay up to date with what only is possible in Costa Rica at any given time. We also enjoy very strong connections with hundreds of key suppliers and communities' members which have naturally developed for over 30 years. They really help us to orchestrate our Unique Tachiz Handcrafted Costa Rica Itineraries."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"My first canopy zip-line adventure in 2001 in Arenal. I went with a group of co-workers and I was a little afraid of doing it as I had never done it. It turned out to be an awesome experience and I really enjoyed it. I loved the beautiful scenery and the sensation of flying over the top of the trees. I have now tried most of the zip-line adventures all around Costa Rica with my daughter Daniela. We both enjoy hiking, hanging bridges, canopy zip-lines, visiting different waterfalls and traveling to different National Parks during the weekends."
