What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in immersive and bespoke travel experiences across East Africa, particularly journeys that combine wildlife, landscapes, local culture, and meaningful nature-based experiences.

Some of the destinations I know and work with most closely include Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Kibale National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, the Serengeti, Masai Mara, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

In Uganda, one of my biggest areas of specialization is Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. I enjoy helping travelers experience not only the gorilla encounter itself, but also the atmosphere surrounding the region the misty forests, mountain scenery, local communities, and the immersive feeling of southwestern Uganda. I also specialize in Chimpanzee and Primate Trekking experiences in Kibale National Park, which is one of the best places in Africa to encounter chimpanzees in the wild.

I also work extensively with Murchison Falls National Park, particularly experiences built around the Nile River ecosystem. Activities there often include private game drives, Nile boat safaris, waterfall hikes to the top of Murchison Falls, birdwatching, walking safaris, and scenic nature-focused experiences.

In Kenya and Tanzania, I specialize in safari experiences within the Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro regions. These destinations are especially incredible for wildlife viewing, the Great Migration, predator sightings, dramatic landscapes, and cultural interactions.

In the Masai Mara and Serengeti, I help structure private safari experiences focused on immersive wildlife encounters, photography, quieter game viewing regions, and more personalized safari pacing rather than rushed group-style tourism. Activities often include private game drives, hot air balloon safaris, cultural visits, photography-focused safaris, and migration experiences depending on the season.

Within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, I specialize in experiences that combine the crater wildlife ecosystem with the surrounding highland atmosphere, crater lake regions, and local Maasai cultural experiences.

How did you get involved in travel?

"I became involved in travel quite naturally through my upbringing and life experiences in East Africa. Being born and raised in the region exposed me early to the incredible diversity of landscapes, cultures, wildlife, and people that make East Africa so unique. Over time, I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and atmosphere of the region, especially the more immersive and less conventional experiences beyond standard tourism routes.

My professional journey later gave me opportunities to work in guest relations, international hospitality environments, protocol, and travel advisory roles, where I interacted with travelers and guests from different parts of the world. Through those experiences, I realized how much I enjoyed helping people experience East Africa in a more personal, meaningful, and authentic way.

That passion eventually evolved into specializing in bespoke travel planning, particularly experiences focused on Gorilla and Primate Trekking, private safaris, local culture, walking safaris, and landscape-driven journeys. I especially enjoy helping travelers discover the quieter, cinematic, and emotionally immersive side of East Africa that many people do not always experience through conventional travel itineraries."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One travel experience I will never forget was a Gorilla Trekking journey combined with a mountain hike in southwestern Uganda near the Bwindi and Virunga highland regions.

What made the experience unforgettable was not only the moment of finally encountering the mountain gorillas in the dense forest, but the entire atmosphere surrounding the journey itself. We began the morning hiking through mist-covered hills, dense jungle vegetation, narrow forest trails, and quiet mountain landscapes while guided by local trackers who understood the forest deeply.

The trek itself was physically demanding at times, especially navigating the steep and muddy terrain, but there was something incredibly immersive and emotional about moving slowly through the rainforest while hearing distant bird calls and the sounds of the forest around us.

Then came the moment we finally encountered the gorilla family. Sitting quietly only a few meters away from them in their natural habitat was honestly one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had. Watching the silverback observe the group calmly, seeing young gorillas play freely nearby, and realizing how deeply connected they are to the forest environment created a feeling that is difficult to fully describe.

What made the experience even more memorable was the contrast afterward. After the intensity of the forest trek, we later continued through the surrounding mountain regions where the landscapes opened into misty hills, volcanic scenery, and peaceful lakeside environments. It felt less like a normal safari and more like stepping into a living natural world filled with atmosphere, silence, and emotion.

That experience deeply shaped the way I now think about travel in East Africa. It reminded me that some of the most meaningful journeys are not necessarily about luxury or speed, but about immersion, atmosphere, human connection, and experiencing nature in a raw and authentic way."
