Isabelle CHAPPAZ
I was born in Annecy and grew up hiking the Alps. Later on I moved to the French Riviera but the mountains were always in my heart. I spent most of my youth hiking, climbing or skiing all around the world. I incorporated my passion into my profession which allowed me to do what I love. I am able to share my knowledge and experience with adventurous and outdoor people.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"hiking, in summer in the Mercantour National parc and in the rest of the year on the riviera Coast and Provence. I specialize in all aspects of cycling to include electric and road bikes.I have extensive knowledge of hiking trails, villages and accomodations in the area. I would be pleased to guide you through the region. I have been hiking the Maritimes Alps from the coast to the highest summits of the Mercantour for more than 20 years."
How did you get involved in travel?
"I started as a guide in the Mercantour national park and then on the countryside of the French riviera. I created my own company with a very faithful clientele and then merged with Alibert after celebrating 25 years of business. I still love to explore and continue to lead hikes but my main focus now is developing itineraries throughout the French Riviera , a place between the mountains and the sea."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"There are so many beautiful experiences to share but the most outstanding , in my opinion, is the Everest and the Lhotse from base camp."
