My name is Jessica and I was born in the Azores, São Miguel island. I was always a very comunicative person and curious about the world and travel. I also love the Azores and everyday I discover something new. That is why I chose tourism as my career field! I believe that I should help people to find this small piece of paradise in the world.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Since I lived all my life in the Azores, there's no place I know better. I am able to organize trips with sea & land combinations to help our visitors to discover the best way they can this archipelago. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"Since young, I started to travel visiting family abroad and also in school projects. I was fascinated with travelling and I thought that the Azores had so much potential to become known by the rest of the world. Because of that, I graduated in tourism and started working in a outgoing travel agency. A year later I joined Picos de Aventura, where I was able to help and advise incoming tourists on how to enjoy and discover our islands the best way possible."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I will never forget the first time I went canyoning in Ribeira dos Caldeirões, Nordeste! I'm used to go hiking on the island and discover new places but by jumping, rappeling and sliding the adventure becomes much more interesting. It's an activity to overcome challenges and fears. One thing you will never forget is how amazing the Azores landscapes are."
