Ryan Walker
Originally from England, my global journey began in 2012 when I set off to explore Australia and New Zealand. What started as a backpacking trip quickly evolved into a career; I spent 2 years working for the largest backpacker travel agency in both Australia and New Zealand, mastering the art of customising itineraries.
After trekking through Southeast Asia and living for a year in Barcelona, I eventually found my way to Canada’s West Coast. For the last nine years, I have been captivated by the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest. To truly immerse myself in the landscape, I now live just outside of Vancouver in the mountain town of Squamish, where I’m surrounded by the nature and peaks I love.
Canada’s staggering diversity keeps me exploring new corners of the country every year. I am passionate about using my decade of industry expertise and my firsthand Pacific Northwest knowledge to help fellow travellers discover the magic of this incredible part of the world
How did you get involved in travel?
"My passion for travel began while backpacking across Australia’s diverse coastlines. Witnessing the contrast between the rugged West and the vibrant East, I fell in love with the way travel connects us to new people and places. I realized I wanted to do more than just see the world, I wanted to share those firsthand stories and empower fellow travelers with the practical knowledge, curated options, and insider tools they need to navigate their own adventures."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I will never forget my first drive through the Canadian Rockies. Between the sunrise views over turquoise glacial lakes and the jagged, snow-capped mountain ranges, it felt like living inside a postcard. Everywhere you look, there’s a new scene to take in: wildlife, waterfalls, and endless landscapes. It was, quite literally, the ride of a lifetime."

We had some ideas of where we would enjoy visiting in Atlantic Canada and Ryan drew up a great itinerary which suited us very well. We especially enjoyed Peggy's Cove (complete with someone playing an Alphorn!).
Our food tour guide, Margaret, in PEI, gave us an in-depth and interesting history of the Island which accompanied our eclectic food samplings.
Getting out on the ocean for the whale watching and the tall ship tour was a plus - the air was wonderful. The restaurant recommendations were excellent (seafood galore).
We hope to visit NS again soon. What a gorgeous region of Canada!
Thank you so much, Robert! It was a true pleasure planning your trip, and I'm thrilled you had such a great time. Hope to welcome you back to Canada soon!

Ryan put together a fantastic trip for me! I told him some things I wanted to do and he made some great suggestions that made it even better. Loved traveling the icefield Parkway between Banff and Jasper and I think that was my favorite thing. I did. Thanks, Ryan!
