I’m that friend who’s constantly getting texts like, “Wait… where in the world are you now?” Travel has never just been about going places for me but rather the foundation of how I see the world & how I choose to show up in it. It’s taught me to listen deeply, live curiously, and find home in the most unexpected corners. More than anything, it’s shaped my values: connection, compassion, and curiosity.
I was born in the Pacific Northwest, raised in the Midwest, and somewhere along the way (through a childhood move to Hong Kong and later to Barcelona and countless travels in between) I became someone who feels most alive in motion! Since then, I’ve built a life across continents, finding meaning in cultural exchange and the small everyday moments that make travel transformative. Now based in Amsterdam, I aim to bring that same intentionality into every journey I help shape at kimkim.
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travel has always been a part of my life, thanks to my family. Growing up, we’d road trip across the U.S. - always choosing the scenic route over the fastest one. Flying somewhere and staying put was never really our thing. That sense of curiosity stuck with me and only deepened after a few international moves during my teen years. After university, I leaned fully into a nomadic lifestyle as I worked remotely while living in different corners of the world, before settling here in Amsterdam."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"On a recent trip to Uganda, I played a hybrid role - part traveler, part group leader, part cultural bridge. I helped bring together a diverse group, coordinated community and marketing efforts, and connected our guests with local Ugandan guides. We summited the extremely difficult Mount Sabyinyo, went level 5 rafting down the Nile’s rapids, went trekking with chimps, saw the big 5 in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and bonded with each other & the locals who were with us every step of the way. Safe to say it was an epic trip!"
