Anna Carolla
I am Anna I was born in Naples, in the South of Italy but I studied in Rome, a city rich in historic and cultural heritage. I am extremely curious, and for this reason, completely in love with travel since I was a child. It all started during my first family trip to Rodi Garganico in Puglia: the sea, the beaches really fascinated me so that I was always looking for new places nearby where to go. Travel, for me means a lot of things but, above all, exploring and discovering with the “eyes of a child”. Those eyes, brought me to a lot of places in Italy where I had the possibility to appreciate and experience the artistic, historical, food and wine heritage that makes our country such a unique destination.
The emotions and the sensations that these experiences gave me are so strong that I don’t want to keep them just for myself. I would really love to share them with all the travelers who want to come to Italy, planning for them a unique experience even in the most hidden places of the country.
How did you get involved in travel?
"I have always been in love with travel. For this reason I decided to study languages which I consider a powerful instrument to travel all over the world. At that time I wasn’t aware about the richness of my country but my curiosity drove me in a lot of new places, even in my region. During a trip, I am always the one encharged of finding and organizing new experiences, and I admit this is the part I love the most . Starting a new experience in collaboration with Storywalking for me means combine my two big passions: travel and languages.

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I consider my trip to Spain not only a travel experience but a life experience. It was a cultural exchange, during which my friend and I stayed at an old lady’s house. It was like living a parallel life there: we attended courses in Spanish, we met a lot of new people from all over the world and shared together a lot of fantastic experiences. We visited Madrid and we had lessons at the University of Salamanca, we went all around the city for a treasure hunt during which we had to ask the locals for information. But, the thing that I remember most is the old lady that used to tell us about her family, her story: it was not only about practicing the language, but it was about sharing life experiences with a person with a different historical, social and cultural background."
