"I love castles and the unique history they transport you into. I love natural sites such as the Mont Saint Michel or the fabulous garden in Giverny.
I know Switzerland very well too with its breathtaking landscapes (mountains, lakes ) and its various possibilities to relax."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I love to travel on my own and I managed to share my love for trips to my students as I have been an English teacher for almost 10 years. I was in charge of organizing trips abroad for the school (California, New York, Dublin) and i decided to work full time on that new career project."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My first time in Provence (South of France) with its typical markets and the smell of lavander in the air. It was a whole experience : riding wild horses, tasting mediteranean food and talking with friendly people.
As for abroad, I will never forget my one-month stay in Saint Catharines, Canada : i enjoyed wine tours, explored the Niagara falls, watched the Sunset on Port Dhalousie and met wonderful people."

Effortless Switzerland

Overall the trip was exceedingly well planned and the hotel accommodations and in-country travel were excellent. The tours that were booked provided the right level of engagement and relaxation. I would also like to call out Grizzy the guide who accompanied us on our hiking trip to Lauterbrunnen. She was an exceptional guide in that we had two very different goals. Part of our group wanted a very easy stroll why my sons wanted to do more strenuous hiking. She was able to satisfy both our needs with ease. She was very knowledgeable but not overbearing and provided information far beyond what we needed for the day. She's a treasure!

The other pleasant surprise was the "Fondue in a Backpack". I had moderate expectations for this and thought the whole idea to be a bit trite. However, it turned out to be one of the memorable events as we had very good fondue along the shores of Lake Thunersee on a beautiful summer day in Interlaken.

This was the first time my family traveled with a child (one-year old) but the quality of the accommodations and the thoroughness in transportation planning made it very stress free. I would recommend Kimkim to my friends because of the in-country support you have while traveling and the local insight our travel agents provided while we planned the trip.

We were impressed by their accommodation selections and recommendations for where we should travel in Switzerland. For example, we hadn't considered Montreaux, but were so happy we got to spend time there. The contrast of the Swiss German side to the Swiss French side of Switzerland was a fun way to see Switzerland. KimKim made the experience so easy with our vouchers for everything and the service providers were clearly vetted. We can not recommend KimKim enough for those that are looking for ease when planning a trip as you'll have the perfect balance of individual exploration time and planned activities.

We liked the size of this hotel and the location of this hotel. We liked being far away from town as it was peaceful at night with the windows option and the centralized location to trails for hiking. The morning view of the Matterhorn was amazing. Additionally, the spa room with the sauna was heavenly.

While we felt this hotel was amazing, travelers might find it far away from town. The electric shuttle is only offered to/from the train station when you arrive and leave. You otherwise need to walk everywhere in Zermatt which is roughly 20 minutes to/from town. That wasn't an issue for us and the view was 10/10, but I wanted to mention it. There is a bus you can take, but we opted to walk.

The staff were very helpful in the morning with my food allergy and ensured I had plenty of gluten free options which I appreciated.

The view from our room of Lake Geneva was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel was centrally located to the train station and bus station, for ease. We found Montreaux very walkable with a number of fun restaurants. The hotel buffet could have been a bit stronger (quality wise), but I think we had high standards after our stay in Geneva and Zermatt. We opted for a local coffee shop and keep our buffet selection pretty basic each morning as a result. We enjoyed the hotel's location to the Fairmont for delicious evening meals (with a view!).

The quality of coffee could have been a bit better on the train ride in the morning, but aside from that, we were impressed by the train ride. We were initially worried it may be a bit toursity, but we embraced it. The cheese and chocolate factory tour were very informative. Seeing the countryside from the train was also fun. It was a great way to remain cool during the European heatwave and we learned a lot.

He added a small, mountain cheese making tour that was the the best. Drivers at airport, from Grimmelwald to Glacier Express was great. I think his name was Kara. Loved our ebike tour with George. We loved working with Clothilde! She had a fantastic ability to sense exactly the types of experiences and hotels we were looking for. Her choices of smaller boutique hotels (Ameron in Lucern, Eiger Mountain and Soul Resort in Grindlewald, Zermama in Zermatt, and Grand Hotel Suisse in Montreux) were perfect in terms of location, comfort and ambience. Chlothilde always responded to our questions promptly and her wonderful directions for train travel allowed us to move around Switzerland between towns, travel to excursions, and move around on our own with confidence. She is the best! All of our drivers and guides were terrific as well. George at Flying Wheels led a great ebike trek to Lauterbrunnen, and our afternoon with Mike at Gorgornat was tailored to our needs so that my husband managed to complete the hike despite recent back surgery. Our day with Emmanuel in Montreux was exceptional—all great choices! Thank you for a wonderful bucket-list vacation!

Our guide Emmanuel was one of the best guides we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The tour included a tour of a UNESCO site to see artisan cheese made by hand which we could then compare to a factory cheese production site The Cailler chocolate tour was very interactive and interesting . We also visited the Domaine du Daley winery with our host Felix who led a great tour of the winery cellars and provided excellent details of the wine production process during our tasting while seated on a beautiful terrace overlooking Lake Geneva. It was a great day!

Our trip to Switzerland was amazing. We enjoyed where we were booked and our various tours. We had no problems with transfers and travel was easy.

Our agent, Clothilde, worked with me over several months and with many changing conditions to make this work. We originally had 4 travelers, then 5, then 6! She worked with all of this and made it all work nicely.

We spent four nights in Interlaken and then five in Zurich. Tours in each location were great and we had appropriate time to just "hang out". If I had to do it again, I think I would do five nights in Interlaken (this location is just so amazing) and four in Zurich, if only to spend a bit more time in Lauterbrunnen which is crazy awesome, imo. Also, I should note that the trip up to Jungfraujoch was completely whited out by snow; but it was still fun to ride the gondola, train, and then play in the snow and tour the complex, but maybe you should look at time of year (we were in May).

This hotel was very nice and breakfast was good. Our room was very nice and we enjoyed our stay for five nights. There are a bunch of restaurants nearby, and the light-rail, and a grocery is very close too. The staff was also very friendly. We had a bit of problem with where to put our things - more storage or cabinets would have been nice. We had a lot of stuff for a long stay (we were in Europe for two weeks) and that was a bit challenging, but we made it work with no real problems.

I've rated this as 5/5 but we had to put some constraints on the tour guide that were probably not fair, and that resulted in a tour that was probably not as it could have been. That said, the farm we visited was awesome, but it didn't make milk for cheese, and we never saw an cheese getting made. Maybe that's our fault for changing the itinerary, but the farm had alpacas and llamas, so I don't think it was ever really about that. And I don't think we ended all that much early. We had a great time. Please do not question this. It just feels like the description didn't match up - and would not have even if we had not modified it.

This is a must do. The ride is not hard and the scenery is breathtaking. Lunch is amazing and the tour guide was caring, infromative and a lot of fun.
