"I love breathtaking scenery! It humbles me in a very profound way and can stir quite the emotion in me. Once, while traveling with a colleague around the Kruger National Park, we opted to take "a short cut". Not long on the road, we hit a gravel path, meant for 4x4 and not for our small Suzuki Economy Vehicle (Shhhh, don't tell the car rental company). We drove and drove and drove for at least an hour, not seeing the end to gravel, the scenery was really breathtaking but the sun is getting lower and we are starting to think we are going to be stuck on this dirt road in the middle of nowhere. Then suddenly, the road took us on a unexpected journey through a meadow and wow, it's was the most beautiful and gracious sight I have seen. We could not help but stop the car and get out to really take in the glorious mountains and dark green and rich flora and fauna stretching further than the eye can see with the sun slowly setting behind it. After a good leisurely hour just sitting in this meadow, watching the sun set, we gathered our things to finish the journey into the night, luckily not driving for too much longer. This was a sweet and surprising encounter with nature itself."
