Elsa Monnot
Hey, I’m Elsa from Paris. Curious and naturally sociable, I’ve always been drawn to meeting new people and exploring unfamiliar places. For the past seven years, I’ve been living abroad, and today I’m proud to call Vienna my home. What I love most about life in Austria is immersing myself in its rich traditions, from café culture and alpine escapes to the blend of elegance and warmth that defines everyday life here.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I focus on hiking adventures, authentic Austrian experiences, and unexpected trips across Austria. I love creating journeys that go beyond the usual tourist spots."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travel has always been part of my story. With family roots in Switzerland, I grew up surrounded by different cultures and influences, which sparked my curiosity from a young age. But everything truly began in 2017, when I moved to Germany.
I realized how easy it was to cross borders, both geographically and culturally. Weekends became opportunities for spontaneous trips. Germany became more than a home — it became a gateway to Europe. That’s when my passion for travel really took off, turning curiosity into a way of life."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"One of the most magical moments I’ve ever experienced happened last May in Vancouver, Canada. My best friends were getting married, and their ceremony took place outdoors, in a beautiful park overlooking the ocean.
Right in the middle of the ceremony, a whale appeared in the water, playfully emerging and diving again, as if it were part of the celebration. It felt surreal, almost like nature itself was offering a blessing. Some said it was a sign of good luck for my favourite couple."
