Travel is my absolute favorite thing! I took my first plane when I was 6 months old…and since then I’ve never stopped! Thailand, United States, Patagonia, Brazil, Iceland are just some of the fantastic destinations I have had the fortune to explore. However I come from the most beautiful, incredible and fascinating country in the world…Italy! So there is no better place to explore than home with our thousands of years of history, incredible gastronomic tradition and a stunning variety of landscapes. I lived in different cities...Rome, Milan, Florence and then I moved back to my hometown Catania, Sicily, a place where in the same day you can go for a swim in the deepest blue sea and after few hours be on the top of the highest active volcano in Europe! Isn’t that incredible?!? I'm part of a great and active travel company, Discover Italy. We do every day our best to create unforgettable travel experiences, let the clients know the inner and secret parts of our fabulous country and to spoil them with the world famous Italian hospitality!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Italy, everywhere! Sicily, Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, Cinque Terre are only a few of the magic places that my country has to offer. We specialize in hiking, cultural tours and active culinary tours. Individual travelers, small groups and families are our target customers and we know how to accommodate different needs. We have travelled up and down all of our 20 regions and have met hundreds of local suppliers, We have hiked along the Italian trails to know which are the best to offer to our clients. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I started to travel with my parents since I was very little and since then I have always enjoyed it so much I have never thought of any other career but working in the tourism business. So I studied Economy of Tourism at the University of Florence. I just can’t help it, I keep planning trips for me, my family and my clients! I love the feeling of walking through an unknown place, discovering new spots, meeting people with different cultures, backgrounds and stories to tell you! And the best thing is that you don’t always need to travel for miles and miles… Sometimes by just getting out of town you can enjoy a special winery, talk with a local artisan or taste a fresh cheese from a local farm! These small things about travelling are the fuel that makes me keep moving around!
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"The first memory that comes to my mind is during a trip in Thailand. My husband and I were hiking up to the Doi Inthanon, a fantastic mountain surrounded by lush forest, incredible plants and flowers. Once on the top, luckily we were the only people there with the exception of a local family with two lovely kids. I just remember that we ended up sitting all together in a circle sharing our food, without speaking a word in a common language. Our talk was made by smiles and little laughs and I can still feel today how everything was just so peaceful and full of beauty. "

Sicily with paul, Italy - Oct 16 - Oct 21, 2017
Several accommodations were outstanding - Palazzo Failla Hotel in Monica and Hotel Olympia in Venice were great and exceeded out expectations. However, the hotel in Catania, Hotel Alla Giudecca was in a good location but was pretty "spartan" and dark; the kitchenette for our purposes was unnecessary. The hotel in Catania, Hotel Etna 316, was also only marginally acceptable. Again it was in a good, central location. Problems include: it had poor air conditioning; our room was literally... read more
Everything italy, Italy - Oct 3 - Oct 24, 2017
There were a couple of problems when we were using the private transfers. We couldn't find the drivers and had to call the car service a couple times. The drivers were actually there but they were hard to find. They usually had a sign with our name but those times we couldn't find them, the drivers were in a high traffic area or not holding the sign up at all. When we called the car service number we provided, they often did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate the problem.... read more
Sicily trip, Italy - Oct 3 - Oct 17, 2017
The itinerary - Giorgia worked with us to create the trip that was suited to us, at a fair price.
She was always there if we wanted to contact her with any queries or comments.
The hotels - Were all in great locations, and were very good to excellent rooms. There was only one that was unsuitable, and this complaint was quickly rectified by the hotel and Giorgia. The staff were always helpful and friendly, and were always expecting us.
The connections - All connections were met, the drivers... read more

Only one slip-up on a day which was overpacked with 2 archaeological sites and a guide scheduled too close together.
Sicily, Italy - Aug 13 - Aug 18, 2017
It was mostly perfect. The drivers were all wonderful. They were punctual, friendly, obliging and cars were immaculate . The guides were even better, especially Valentina in Palermo who we adored. The others were fabulous too.Accommodation was mostly good, but we found the agiturismo in Agrigento tooooo remote, and my brief did say we were city slickers . Also it was feragosto eve and they had a party.
However,I have been recommending you to everyone.
Also nearly perfect but better than good.... read more

One small issue, airport pickup in Sicily did not show up on time and had to get a cab.
Giorgia was a pleasure to deal with!

Spectacular self-drive tour around sicily - 14-day itinerary, Italy - Sep 1 - Sep 11, 2017
We loved this trip! Hike to the top of an active volcano at sunset (Giorgia ordered the full moon, too), snorkel in the Ionian Sea, learn about the earlier inhabitants of Sicily, their architecture and way of life, amble Baroque towns, hike to ridges looking over volcanic islands and along the seashore and through the marsh (Giorgia organized the flock of wild flamingos), eat gelato, drive and explore at your own pace. The hotels were FABULOUS! The hiking routes really made the trip,... read more
Genoa to cinque terre, Italy - Jul 27 - Jul 27, 2017
Kimkim did a great job. Our liaison (Giorgia) coordinated exactly what we wanted and when one of the tours fell through, arranged for a substitute on short notice. Well done!
Giorgia was amazing! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Timely responses, adaptable to our desires, and provided excellent advice.
Trip to italy, Italy - Jul 7 - Jul 10, 2017
Overall the hotels were excellent and the trip-planning advice was spot-on. I was thinking of renting a car in Amalfi but was VERY glad I did not! Great job.
One hotel was not great, since it provided little in the way of service. We wished we had a guide in Pompeii. I'm sure I'm the one who didn't want it, but it would have been good to have one.
Italy0517, Italy - May 2 - May 12, 2017
Planning and booking went pretty well. I would suggest that the organizers answer all of the questions asked by the clients, even if they seem unrelated to the actual booking, just so that there are no misunderstandings. Questions such as recommendations for restaurants were simply ignored. Answers to questions like that would have been extremely helpful.
Giorga did a nice job. She answered emails in a timely fashion and her responses were mostly clear. She was as responsive as... read more

Great experience with the website and working with Georgia. She was great. The package of materials was excellent. I loved all the maps and they saved us a few times - I couldn't have gotten the Sicily road map on my own but not all the local maps she sent us. Also loved the driving directions and suggestions with details for optional tours. She worked with us to create our itinerary and her knowledge was so good. We never would have done what we do without her help. I loved all her... read more
