I am a Canadian who has been living in Cuba for over 20 years, working as a professor at the University of Havana, working as a consultant for foreign businesses establishing themselves in the Cuban market, working as a consultant for the Canadian Embassy and the United Nations, overseeing their foreign aid projects; and working as the only foreign lawyer permanently based in Cuba.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I am familiar with Cuba, from one end of the island to the other, exploring Havana, doing road trips throughout Cuba."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travel related to my work as an international sustainable development consultant - visiting international development projects througout Cuba to evaluate them and to speak to the benefited communities."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Filling my car with Cuban hitchhikers, and driving from Havana to Santiago - non stop conversation on politics, society, the world, rum, music, philosophy, humanity, Karl Marx and Adam Smith."
