Room was extremely small, bit for one person it worked well.

Great place to stay! Located in quick walking distance to all traveler locations.

Information provided was great. I had about 5 hours at this location and it was too long. You can visit this area in about 2 hours max including having a longer leisure lunch. This is not the Vikings Village fault - it was mine for booking too long it this location.

Guide was great (I don't recall her name). Food, especially the soup. The dried fish - not so much.

Excellent hotel! Rooms were a little dark and would like to see wash cloths in each bathroom.

A very nice hotel, but not well managed. Difficulty contacting our host to resolve simple issues like access to garage, etc. Once we were able to contact them they were helpful. Also, would have liked to see wash cloths, bath mat, cooking utensils, and more lighting in the room.

There was no Tour Guide on places we were seeing. And the Shrimp Buffet was crawfish (not shrimp) with only white Bread and Lettuce served. There should be a side-dish or REAL SHRIMP. I was expecting more food items.

This one was a miss for us. Too small for three people it was a closet sized, if you have a party of three would recommend a larger room. While we were not in the room often it was too cozy for three (example, opening the bathroom door would hit the third bed). This hotel also does not do any housekeeping, you can ask for towels each day. However, given the room is so small it is rather inconvenient to also do the housekeeping for them by bringing out dishes and towels. Too much self service, we are not too needy but this hotel was a bit too minimal. Location was just okay.

This hotel is bare bones. Did not have a fridge (but did allow me to chill medication by placing with a tag in their fridge at the main desk). It was a little small for 3 people, but clean. I was not a huge fan of the location of this one, it was further to walk to access the main sites. The hotel breakfast , staff and cleanliness were excellent however, it maybe just wasn't the best fit for us.

This hotel was wonderful! Great rooms with extra bed a little cozy for three but the amenities were great. Hotel bar and restaurant were good if you didn't want to venture out. Had so many activities planned we didn't have time to take advantage of and the location was excellent. Very handy they had rental umbrella's for those rainy days. Would highly recommend this place.

This is a wonderful and historic hotel in Gothenburg. We only stayed one night but would have loved to take this hotel with us along the trip. Very roomy historical rooms, awesome sitting area. Daily coffee, tea and pastries. The breakfast here was excellent as well. Centrally located.

Loved this hotel. The suite was amazing for three people. Plenty of space and all the needed amenities, heated floor in the bathroom even. The location was a short walk to main areas, wonderful sitting area, and breakfast and great room.

This historic hotel does not disappoint. Amazing views, sitting rooms, buffet and restaurant. Balestrand is small and this hotel fits right in and is the best location being only a few steps from the waterfront and also an access points for other sites. Breathtaking views.

Hotel was nice - big room, great location. Breakfast buffet was super generous and the food was excellent.

A gem of a hotel - gorgeous setting, beautiful, comfortable rooms - excellent 5-star dining.

Beautiful from the outside but the rooms were in a separate, concrete bldg (not the wooden 19th century bldg). Rooms were super small with 2 small twin beds. Felt cramped. Very few amenities (no shampoo, conditioner, lotion).

The boat ride was incredible, esp coming home and seeing the sunset. The staff at the restaurant was incredible, everyone so friendly and they all came out to see us off when the ferry departed.

So fun! Lars was a great guide - the boat was comfortable and he made sure we all wore giant coveralls to keep us warm! Beautiful scenery.

AnnKaren was so welcoming - we learned all about her process for making goat cheese and she fed us a delicious lunch!
