Hey you, my name is Julia. I am originally from Germany.
After I took my semester abroad in Norway during my Bachelor, I decided I wanted to live in this beautiful country. Now, working in travel, learning more about this beautiful country I live in, and meeting new people makes every day exciting and special for me.
How did you get involved in travel?
"I love to travel myself! Seeing the diversity of the world, getting to know new cultures and meeting new people is one of my passions. I always wanted to work with something I love to do myself. By helping travelers to get the best experience possible, showing the beautiful spots Norway has to offer and spreading the joy of traveling, I am able to combine my job with my passion for travel, culture, and people."

This zealous (yet relaxing) and unbelievably scenic 14-day itinerary checks off Norway's three biggest cities traveling by train, ferry, and fjord cruise for a true Scandinavian adventure. Start off in Norway's buzzing capital with its new waterfront promenade before you take one of the steepest trains in the world to the village of Flåm. You'll ferry through the longest fjord in Norway and explore Bergen on your own and with a local guide. From here, board the Hurtigruten—a mighty coastal steamer—stopping in the Art Nouveau city of Ålesund for a night. Back on the Hurtigruten, you'll sail to Trondheim by way of the Geirangerfjord and then return to Oslo by train for one last night on the town.
This two-week adventure is ideal for travelers who want to make the most of Norway's summer. Start off exploring southern Norway (Oslo, Bergen and the Sognefjord) before flying to the Arctic Circle. From here, you'll rent a car and head to the rugged island of Senja for an active two days of cycling and kayaking before ferrying to smaller Andenes for whale watching. The adventure ends in lively Tromsø and Oslo for festivals and outdoor restaurants.
This exciting and less-traveled winter adventure takes you deep into Norway's boreal territory. Your week-long tour between November and April begins in the quietly sophisticated city of Tromsø, where you can sled with huskies during the day and chase the Northern Lights after dark. Continue to Alta by car or bus for snowsports in the Arctic wilderness and a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprised of rock carvings. To up the Alta adventure factor, spend your last two nights in a nearby hotel made of snow and ice!
Escape the summer crowds with this winter trip highlighting both southern and northern Norway. Starting in Oslo—Europe's fastest-growing capital—you'll take one of the steepest trains in the world towards the fjords. Then train to Bergen, a UNESCO-listed city loaded with culture and restaurants. Finish with two nights at a resort in the Arctic where you'll dog sled and search for the Northern Lights.
This journey highlights Norway's three biggest cities with scenic detours along the way. Start off in sophisticated Oslo before traveling by train and ferry to UNESCO-listed Bergen. From here, drive through fjord-side villages to Ålesund, known for its art nouveau architecture, and Kristiansund. Finish off in Trondheim with colorful wooden homes, café culture, and tree-lined streets for cycling.

Exactly what I wanted/needed! Thank you Julia! · Norway - Nov 25 - Dec 3, 2019
I contacted KimKim for a much needed solo trip away and I was thinking about Norway. Julia was my specialist and she was fantastic! Not only did she listen to all of the things I wanted, but she was super fast in her response time. What most impressed me was that she would respond, day or night and at one location where they couldn't find the reservation she was available in real time. Additionally, she messaged me throughout the trip to see how it was going. She made my experience... read more

Trip to Norway · Norway - Aug 2 - Aug 12, 2019
Overall the trip was great. The activities were fantastic and varied, and it was all relatively seamless. 2 areas of feedback:
1. Some of the hotel information wasn't provided until a little later, so it gave us a little anxiety since it was our first time using the service.
2. The first hotel took payment from us even though the hotel was paid by kimkim. I think that was the hotels fault though.
Besides those 2, I am very satisfied with the service!
10 Days in Norway: 7 Unique Itinerary Ideas · Norway - May 28 - Jun 8, 2019
I can't thank Julia enough for all her recommendations of where to go in Northern Norway. I started out trying to organise the trip myself, as I would usually do, and Norway had me perplexed with exactly where to go and how much time we would need. Julia was spot on with her advice and location choices. Particular highlights were the Sea Cabins in Reine, the stunning house and surrounding areas in Senja and the gorgeous accommodation approximately 30 minutes outside Tromso. Active Tromso... read more
