I'm a lover of people, nature beauty, history, great food, and all things about travel! When Itravel, I get to experience new cultures, take in beautiful, inspiring scenery, and quite often I end up learning a thing or two about ourselves along the way!
My passion for travel has taken me to explore most parts of China: witnessing the greatness of the Great Wall, exploring the ancient treasures of Xi'an, taking a scenic cruise along the Yangtze River, and indulging in the culinary delights of Sichuan, etc.
Since the day I joined in China Highlights Travel team in 2014, I've continued to explore this beautiful country - my homeland and gathered first hand experience to pass onto my clients!
I truly love matching clients with the destination that are 'just right' for them. My goal is always to provide my clients with seamless vacation planning and good value customer service.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Whether you're looking to explore new culture, family-friendly holiday, celebrate milestones in your life, I'm here to help make it happen. I have extensive knowledge of popular destinations around China and can provide expert advice on every detail from flights and accommodations to tours and unique experiences."
How did you get involved in travel?
"My love of travel grew in college, when I was able to go abroad to study in UK. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, tasting the local delicacies, exploring different cities, and getting to experience things that I'd only previously dreamed of.
After working in international trade industry for 2 years in Shenzhen, I decided to pursue a career in the travel industry to combine my passion for travel with my aspirations, being a professional travel advisor at China Highlights
Traveling brought me so much joy, that it had to become a permanent part of my life."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"One of the most memorable travel experiences I've had was when I had the opportunity to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China. The park is famous for its towering sandstone pillars and breathtaking views, and it was truly a sight to behold.
One day, we decided to take a hike through the park and explore some of the less-known areas. As we were hiking, we stumbled upon a small, hidden waterfall that was tucked away behind one of the pillars. It was a secluded spot! The sound of the water and the lush greenery around us made it feel like we were in our own little paradise.
We spent several hours there, just taking in the beauty of the waterfall and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. It was a reminder of the incredible natural wonders that exist in our world and a humbling experience to be able to witness it firsthand.
That moment will always stay with me as a reminder of the beauty and majesty of nature and the importance of taking time to appreciate it"

Planning trip: Kimi did great job helping us to create interesting itinerary and as real itinerary execution showed, it was good balanced itinerary with efficient usage of our travel time. Unfortunately, Kimi started working on Tibet permit very late and it made us very nervous. We arrived in Chengdu without knowledge and confirmation if we have Tibet permit . Only Sophie's ( Sophie is probably Kimi's coworker) good and clear emails during first days of our trip clarified all necessary details .
After all payments were finalized Kimi stated that she missed flight from Lhasa into Xi'an to include in trip price. Now they asked to pay extra money through PayPal. Not sure how valid this request.
We worked with 3 guides : Michael ( Chengdu -Rilong with hiking) , Gelek - Tibet, and Jerry - Xi'an. All 3 guides were knowledgeable, responsible and flexible. They did great job

Wolong Gengda Panda Research Center + Dengsheng Gorge Hiking (3 hours)
Wolong
Wolong Gengda Panda Research Center is amazing. We saw multiple Pandas and place was not very crowded. Dengsheng Gorge Hiking was not prepared. Stairs were destroyed by recent flooding and we had to turn around . It was muddy with crossing couple of local creeks. It is not a problem for our group if we knew in advance and put proper hiking shoes and proper hiking clothes. But we expect easy hike and were not prepared to actual trail conditions

Thank you for your feedback and comments. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Regarding the Tibet permit, we understand your concerns. The permit process can only begin about two weeks in advance. Our team promptly collected the necessary China visa copies and coordinated with Emmett and Yuanzheng for supplementary documents. Rest assured, everything was under control, and your tour guide informed your group as soon as the permit was obtained.

We apologize for any confusion regarding the missing flight cost from Lhasa to Xi'an. It was our understanding that all group members agreed to the additional payment of at least $150 before the trip. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
I'm glad to hear that most of the hotels met your expectations. We apologize for any inconvenience at the Siguniang hotel. Due to its remote location and limited options, it remains the best choice for hiking travelers aiming to maximize their time in the area.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we're delighted you enjoyed the guidance from Michael, Gelek, and Jerry. They are indeed excellent at ensuring a memorable experience.
