My Name is Laura and I came to Indonesia the first time in 2016. I lived a few years in Lombok and I am based in Bali for the last 4 years. I have travelled most of the islands and I am always curious to explore new regions.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I am definitely specialized in Bali and Lombok with all the hidden gems and authentic experiences because I have spend most of my time there but I also did some interesting trips to Sumatra, Flores, Sumba and Java which gave me some detailed knowledge."

How did you get involved in travel?

"After I finished school I worked for a company which was responsible for the tourism on a very small island - I always enjoyed working in the service industry but I also wanted to go and travel the world, which brought me to Australia for some Work&Travel. After that I explored most of South East Asia and I ended up loving Indonesia so much that it became my new home. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I will always remember the trip to the Komodo National Park where me and my friends spend couple of days on a boat and had the best time. It was a mix of snorkelling with Mantas & turtles, small beautiful islands and enjoying the sunsets together."

We enjoyed our trip and all of our activities.
Our only complaint was the lack of details for some of the excursions—specifically the beach, temple, and fire dance day. Since we were traveling back on the boat, we were not prepared for the day's adventures and assumed we would be checking into the hotel to change before a day full of various activities. Our driver, Rushna made the trip extra special!!!!! The SIMs card will not work on phones from the United States. Mine was lost in the... Read more

The room was beautiful with a spacious deck and an outdoor bathroom. The pool and reading tub (not a hot tub) were the perfect place to rest and relax after a day of adventures. Plenty of beaches, restaurants, shopping, and a temple in a cave cliffside were all within walking distance. We got to enjoy an amazing local artist singing.

AC unit was not working, and the water shut off in the middle of my shower. Staff were friendly, the place was clean, and beach front pool & restaurant were amazing

It was amazing to be welcomed into the host's home. It provided great insight into the family dynamics within their culture. It was fun to experience their daily cooking habits. Starting at the market, prepping each ingredient, and preparing what felt like a feast. The staff made it flow smoothly without taking away cooking opportunities.

This was a private adventure. The guide swam with us, pointing out amazing corals, fish, a sea turtle, dolphins, and fought of a dangerous fish. He pulled the boat along with him so it was close to us. The equipment was clean and in good condition. The guide took lots of pictures for us and of us. He would dive down to distances we couldn't in order to get the perfect shot. We were picked up in the boat from our hotel.

The driver, Don, was very friendly, informative, and provided a perfect day. We loved that this was our first day, as we got so much information about Bali culture, lifestyles, and geography.
