Sens Asia Adivsor

Vietnam is my home and Asia is my backyard where I spent my last 18 years traveling and living in different countries. I’m passionate about culture and local life, food and behind the scene stories. I’m a huge curiosity person so I do love venturing to the unknown destinations and get to know it from inside out. Connecting worldwide travelers with the local and promote tourism in a real authentic way is my driving objective when working in travel industry.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. We specialize in real human encounters, local culture, cuisine and photogenetic trekking/ hiking routes. We host many luxury clients as well but it doesn't stop us bringing them off the tourist track or getting under the surface iconic destinations to meet locals while still stay in comfort. We love to welcome the family with kids because we are a team of young traveling parents ourselves so we know the best we can arrange for them in the region."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I fell in love with everything that makes me move faster, I didn't have a bicycle until I'm 15 and when I had my very first motorbike at 20, I started riding as far as I can. At 21 years old I boarded my first flight and ever since I decided I will work hard to keep flying around, see new destinations. I made my dream came true and landed on Europe when I was 24. The world is beautiful and the people who put a soul in their country make it remarkable in every way, travel bring your life a true meaning of exploration. I decided to work professionally in the travel industry and learn everything about it, promote my beloved destinations to others. Now I still travel for work and for leisure, every year I plan an epic trip to trek the Anna Purna Circuit, riding a Royal Anfield in Ladhak, backpacking Europe, Volcano trips of Indonesia or motobiking trip across Indochina... "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"In 2007 I rode my motorbike from Southern Vietnam to Cambodia, across Laos and come back to Northern Vietnam. The bike was a Minsk, 125cc bike from Belarus... the gear system broken up in Laos and no mechanic at that time could help me to fix it. I rode with 3 gears for a few days in Laos until I got it fix at the border town in Vietnam. That was an amazing trip which I took all the time to travel slow and enjoy to stop wherever I like and get to know the destination and the people. I had my son in 2010 and I named him Minsk. I think that's also the reason I moved to Laos and live there for 2 years setting up a Travel Agency in Luang Prabang in 2016."

Thank you for crafting a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my son and stepson. We had an amazing time in Vietnam under the care of Sens.
I’ve traveled to many places around the world, and I think Vietnam may very well be my favorite place. The food is wonderful, the scenery is gorgeous, and above all, the people are so kind and optimistic.

Regarding the tour. Mr. Khoa was an outstanding guide. He was pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure we stopped at interesting places and beautiful views.

Our accommodations were great. The hotel in Hanoi was very well located, and the staff was attentive. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Our visit to Mai Chau was outstanding. Our lunch was tasty, and the “homestay” was a fun and delicious experience. We very much enjoyed biking through the villages. I hadn’t been on a bike for 20 years, but it’s true that you don’t forget how, and it was so much fun! Again, Khoa made sure to stop at interesting places and explain what was going on. Our driver was excellent. I always felt that we were in safe hands as he navigated the crazy streets of Hanoi, and the winding roads in the country.

Our visit to the school in Mai Chau was wonderful. We’d bought some soccer balls and badminton sets in Hanoi under Khoa’s recommendation, and they went over very well with the staff and students. We were warmly greeted by all of the staff/teachers, and were treated to oranges and conversation before we got a tour of the school. There was one young student in particular who was a wonderful conversationalist in English. He is a particularly fond memory.

I’m glad that you convinced us to go to Bai Tu Long Bay. It was stunning. The host on the Swan Cruise, Marcus (Minh) was very engaging and fun. I liked the size of the group on the cruise—being somewhat small.

I have only two disappointments I would like to convey. The first was the lunch at Mother’s Kitchen in Hanoi. The food was very good, but I would much rather have gone to a true local spot for some Pho or Cha Ca. Similarly, the lunch in Ninh Binh was another tourist spot I would like to have avoided. I recall the food being just “okay.”

While on the Swan Cruise we met a Vietnamese woman from Hanoi who was traveling alone for the first time, and rounded out our table of three to a table of four at mealtimes. In such a short time, we became friends, and continue to communicate!

None of this could have happened without the fantastic work that Linh and Ha did to pull this all together for us. Gam un!

I hope to visit Vietnam again one day, and look forward to you helping plan a trip to visit the South! In the meantime, I wish you all the very best.

Linh and Ha were great trip advisors. They put together a great travel plan and stayed in touch our entire trip to ensure all was going well. They even booked a last minute trip during a very busy season that turned out to be a highlight
I highly recommend them
