My name is Thuy. I have worked for 10 years as a tour operator and travel consultant for foreigners to Vietnam. This is a great job for me to introduce the natural beauty and unique culture of my homeland to all people from all over in the world. I love learning about different cuisines, destinations, daily local life, and traditional handicrafts. As a travel specialist, in addition to sharing the highlights of my country with travelers, I also strive to connect them with local people so they can have an in-depth understanding of local culture and people.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos. We specialize trekking, hiking, biking in Vietnam, especially in the mountainous regions such as the Northeast: Ha Giang, Ba Be, Bao Lac, Cao Bang, and the Northwest: Mai Chau, Mu Cang Chai, Sapa, Dien Bien Phu, of course combining with other classic activities."
How did you get involved in travel?
"During my university years, I took some group tours. I learned a lot of new and really interesting things through these trips. Therefore, after graduating from university, I decided to join the professional tourism industry and hope that I will have more opportunities to learn more about it as well as to go to explore more new destinations"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"My unique travel experience is the first trekking in Cat Ba National Park more than 10 years ago (before becoming a local specialist myself). Although we hired the local guide, somehow he got lost on the way to the village where we were going to spend the night. The guide then went off to find the correct path by himself, so we waited on our own for over an hour. Finally, he came back and asked our group to follow him. After hiking for nearly 2 more hours, we heard the call of a rooster, which meant that we were coming to the village and could finally escape the forest. That was amazing & experience trip. "

Excellent arrangements and experiences · Vietnam - Jan 12 - Jan 20, 2020
We used KimKim for our first visit to Vietnam because they use local people as tour arrangers and guides, and their reviews seemed to reflect the sort of trip we were interested in. Ms Thuy, who set everything up for us, and our guides, Mr. Nhan in the north, Ms. Tra My in the center of the country, and Mr. Loan in the south, were all exceptional resources and teachers.
Ms. Thuy suggested the itinerary, worked with us to make sure we could do what we wanted, made all of the arrangements... read more

I booked a trip to Vietnam with Ms. Thuy and she set everything up. We set off in Hanoi and out guide was great. He knew the area and was knowledgable about the sites we saw. We then had a few days in Tuy Hoa which we did ourself. This agency lets you customize trips to your liking and needs. I love that. We ended our trip in Saigon which was great too. Thuy was simply amazing. She was attentive and available at all times in the planning process and on our trip. Everything was seamless from our drivers picking us up on time to the expert guides and the lovely accommodations, we really could not have asked for more. My husband and I typically plan our own trips but with recent busy work schedules we really needed someone to step in and make sure all the details were nailed down & Ms Thuy did this flawlessly. She was willing to let us... read more

From the moment I emailed Kimkim to our departure from Phonm Pehn , it was perfection! I've previously been a travel agent and would highly recommend Kimkim Travel & Ms Thuy. We asked for a biking/beach adventure through Cambodia with 4-5 star accommodation, Ms Thuy nailed the entire itinerary. She sent the route we should ride/drive with suggestions of accommodation. The accommodation was outstanding! The transfers were seamless which makes life so much easier. Our guide from Siem Reap down... read more
