Our family just returned from the most magical and unforgettable trip to Croatia, and we owe it all to Nikola and the incredible team he set up for us through Kimkim.

Nikola planned the perfect itinerary for my 50th birthday, taking us from Zagreb to Zadar, the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes and Krka National Park, Split, Hvar, and finally Dubrovnik. Every destination was more beautiful than the last. Croatia is now my favorite country, and we genuinely did not want our vacation to end.

From the very beginning, Nikola was exceptional. He was always available to answer questions, whether by email or phone, and his communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. He was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our trip special.

This was our first trip visiting Croatia, my husband and myself did not know what to expect. Nokola provided us with excellent itinerary with transportation, starting from picking us up from Dubrovnik airport to dropping us off at the Zagreb airport. Along the way, we visited the Dalmation Coast-Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Zadar, Istria. Each of the hotel we stayed was unique, well appointed and centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, coffee bars, historical sites and beyond. The guides of our private walking tours were very knowledgeable, passionate about sharing the history of their city. These walking tours helped deepen our understanding of each town from its past to the present. We especially enjoyed the truffle hunt with the dogs through a local truffle farm near Motovun. The farm prepared scrambled eggs ( 46 eggs ), using the freshly harvested truffles, along with bread, different spreads, salads...Dessert was chocolate cake with truffles, very delicious, unique and memorable. Miro, the owner of the truffle farm shared so much with our group anything truffle related. I will remember the beautiful sunsets in Split, Zadar and Rovinj ! Overall, we credit Nikola's attention to detail , his caring attitudes and deep knowledge for our exceptional experience.

The Palace of Diocletian's Palace came alive via Ms. Mirna's interesting/ informative stories and facts. The Palace felt like a maze to me with different quarters and 4 gates to enter. We met a finger painting artist who named his paintings " Finger Pain Things ". There was also Klapa singing, a traditional cappella singing style. It was great to experience the Palace with its history as well as its modern day re-adaptation of unique shops and restaurants.

Island of Hvar Tour With Local Guide (Afternoon)

Our guide, Grgo, gave us a tour of his hometown through his personal perspective and love for Hvar. There was a storm coming in, he moved the tour schedule up so our tour finished just before the storm, perfect timing ! He took us up to the highest point on the island so we could see the panoramic view all around Hvar. I like to learn how the locals live in places that I travel /visit, that's how we connect to the places and people when we travel, Grgo delivered on that level for me.

Truffle Hunting Experience

I really enjoyed this unique and memorable experience. The husband/ wife team together with their staff were so welcoming and hospitable. The two dogs worked hard to hunt the black truffles and received gifts of bread, not a very fair deal...The lunch afterwards were delicious and festive. I learned a lot of the truffles, really appreciated the educational aspect as well!

Nikola meticulously planned our 2-week Croatia/Montenegro tour. We were able to tailor the trip to our needs, and it had a good mix of free time as well as tours organised by Kimkim. We were informed daily as to what was happening via WhatsApp.
The accommodation was superb. We had a variety of hotels, boutique hotels, villas and apartments. Their location was perfect and convenient in the town which we were staying.
The local guides and drivers were friendly, informative & professional.
It was great not having to think about transport whether it was by car or boat.

Nikola organised our private tour to Croatia. He designed our trip around the list of things we wanted to do and see and still left us plenty of leisure time to look around enjoy each of the places we stayed. Accommodation was excellent. All the guides on the private tours were very knowledgeable. I will use kimkim tours again.

Nikola was great with his daily check ins and responsiveness to questions during our trip. We appreciated that he listened to our questions and particulars of our wants/needs during the planning to build a great experience. Our favorite "excursion" that he arranged for us was on the Island of Korcula with a biking tour with food and wine experience. John, our host for that outing was great and fun with be with.

This hotel was very nice but was very far from Old Town (walled city) of Dubrovnik. It was not walkable to any place of interest. If you are looking for a "resort" hang out, it was nice, but far from popping in and out during a day of touring. After staying in apartment style places at other locations during our trip, this was basic hotel rooms and was disappointing. The place is slightly run down.

It is not near the old city and at least a 10 min taxi ride each way to the "Old town" and 15 Euro ride each way. We were not really made aware of this and might have opted for a different location to be able to enjoy the tourist area easier. If you are looking for a hang out and relax place - this is it! It was very relaxing, but the walk to breakfast location is quite a walk with a steep hill.

This is a family property with multiple units. It was centrally located on Hvar and fit our needs. If you are staying there, just be aware that if you are moving your luggage, it is a bit of a walk on cobblestone. But once you are there, great location for walking and near a market etc.

Our guide, Marco, was great and a nice person. This excursion is hard to rate because it is very dependent on the weather for your experience. The weather was fine when we left but changed while we were out and made for a hard outing with paddling. Our guide felt bad but it wasn't his fault.

Nikola highly recommended this as we were not sure it was worth it and we stayed with it based on his recommendation. We are not sure why he pushed so hard for this. Thank you Nikola! We just completed our KimKim part of an amazing trip to Croatia and Slovenia. We have had a great experience with KimKim on a previous trip to Greece and thought we would use KimKim again. Our advisor Nikola was awesome! He suggested some things we had not thought about, like going to Slovenia first then northern Croatia. We had decided we wanted to do a cruise to finish that trip and his suggestion of Katarina confirmed our choice. Every one of his suggestions was perfect and his arrangements were flawless. He was responsive to every communication immediately and gave us an update every night for the next day. We would never have thought of visiting Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Skocjan Caves, Vrsic Pass, Bovec, Vintgar Gorge, or gone truffle hunting with dogs. We loved all the suggestions. We also wanted to see northern Croatia and so glad we did. Loved Rovinj and Pula. And of course there was Split. All of the arrangements and accommodations were great. We are continuing with a Katarina cruise which is also awesome. I just to say that Nikola and KimKim were outstanding and thank them so much for the best trip ever!

Oh my word, if I could give Nicola a 10 out of 5 stars I would! We loved this trip so much, it was so detailed and perfect- we had drivers in the busy areas, had our own car for the easy driving places- so perfectly planned. The parks were FANTASTIC, do NOT miss! Loved the cities and excursions and I don't really like cities much- there was so much to do, so much to see, every day was SO good! Croatia was my husband's idea, he heard it was great- wasn't even on my bucket list but I'm always up for new places- and it was one of our best trips ever. Highly recommend without reserve. More expensive than planning my own trip (which I do often) but I feel we saw much more, did much more than we ever could have if I planned it, bc of the details and itinerary he put together.

we got an upgrade and had the MOST FANTASTIC ocean view, with a private balcony, this was one of my top 5 favorite views from a hotel and we have been all over the world. The buffet was the best one of all of them on this trip. It was a taxi ride from Old Town but the taxi is only 8E so worth it for the amazing view, multiple swimming pools and decadent room. Love, love love!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel! Right in the middle of everything, throw open the windows and look down on the cafe and gelato shops in the plaza! There is no parking allowed in this pedestrian area so you do have to park in a designated spot a 5-10 min walk away, the staff meets you there, but it is SO WORTH IT because the location is amazing! We are not city people but we loved walking around here at night, finding a restaurant, gelato, stores, etc. can walk to ferry. The buffet in the morning is great too.

My husband had reviewed this, but coming back to the KimKim site I realized I had not.

We had a fabulous trip to Croatia. We were lucky that the weather mostly cooperated, but the little rain we got din't hamper our activities.

The boutique hotels we stayed in where in interesting areas close to restaurants and very safe to wonder around. We loved all of them,

The activities Nicola booked matched what we were looking for and at times exceeded expectations.
