Raísa Jorge

I hold a degree in Journalism but became a travel agent by passion. I am a fortunate person who has chosen two careers leading to the greatest experiences one can possibly have: New places, tastes, essences, people and their life-changing stories.

I'm originally Brazilian but have found myself on the other side of the World. My journey through Middle East & Asia started in 2012 and it is nowhere close to an end.
This region is an endless source of unforgettable experiences and we, at Experience Jordan, want to share the best with you. Our team is not only very professional, and capable of providing you the perfect trip, but also very passionate about their countries and work.

Prepare yourself for loads of fun and new discoveries. We promise you a lifetime adventure!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"We specialize in adventure and experiential tours of the Middle East, particularly Jordan and Israel Palestine, offering hiking, biking, and experiential sightseeing tours. Our experienced guides will take you off the beaten path, to see the real highlights of the region, meeting the people, experiencing the hospitality and tasting the delights of the Middle East.

We aim to be the best inbound tour operator in the region, offering you the perfect trip, tailored to your specific requirements at affordable prices, with excellent customer service.

We know you’ll love our trips, because they are all the result of our own adventures around the region, sharing all the authentic treasures we have found and love. All the Experience Jordan team love exploring and we’re here to help you create the perfect tour for your needs, whether it’s sightseeing, hiking, cycling or family adventures. Do you want to stay with a local family, camp out under the stars in the desert, learn to cook Arabic food, explore the markets, ride a camel, engage with the people and even learn some Arabic greetings? Our international team has traveled the world, so we know what it’s like to be travelers, so we aim to give you outstanding service and include the best practices we’ve learned global into our trips.

As part of our commitment to the people of Jordan, we continue to pioneer new tours and experiences to create jobs and generate income for our local partners throughout the country, both in Amman, but also in the rural communities and Bedouin families across Jordan."

How did you get involved in travel?

"Back in 2011, I started working in an NGO which provides exchange program for university students. Through this organization, I've done my first trip abroad to [a not-so-usual first destination] India.

That experience was dramatically life-changing. After few months exploring the country, its culture & people, I was bitten by the travel bug and I went back to Brazil knowing exactly what I wanted for my life.

My next destination was Jordan and here I am since 2013 working in the travel industry, aiming to share with other travelers at least a bit of the huge and amazing experience it's been living here."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Besides India and Jordan. I have been to other countries in Asia and my ultimate experience was certainly in Afghanistan.

This war-torn country, normally avoided by most of travelers, has some of the most beautiful and unexplored landscapes in the World.

Hiking through the mountains of some very remote areas and dealing with the incredible hospitality of Afghan people have changed my life perspective forever. And, as weird as it sounds, I have never felt so peaceful like those days."

Jawad, my guide, was perfect, knowledgeable, engaging, just all around great fun! My Bedouin guide made the most fabulous tea every day he was with us, and our cook for the evenings when were were camping made the most amazing dinners and fabulous breakfasts the next morning. Everywhere we stayed was unique and special and I enjoyed the special charactaristics of each place. The Lodge in Dana had the most amazing views from the room, Feynan ran by candle light and was beautiful, camping in the desert was so much fun, the Bedouin camps were an absolute treasure and a wonderful experience. While hiking (one of my upmost favorite activities) we got to see many birds, a blue lizard, herds of goats and sheep and camels and meet just the nicest people who asked us to stop for tea. What a welcoming and beautiful country Jordan is. Petra was breathtaking, and I truly appreciated Jawad's vast knowledge of the área, the people and the history. I got to go on my first ever camel ride in Wadi Rum, an experience I will never forget! The desert of Wadi Rum is truly beautiful - we even got to see some rock climbers! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the most amazing, unforgetable trip. This was truly the best!

Jordan in 7 days - amman, jerash, mt nebo, petra, wadi rum, aqaba and the dead sea, Jordan - Dec 27 - Jan 5, 2019

Traveler: Robert J. - Local specialist: Raísa Jorge

We found dealing with Raisa very easy and she responding promptly to all our questions in the planning and lead up to this trip. The itinerary was very comprehensive and busy which suited us although with hindsight we did miss out on a few things (Guide in Jerash) and a tour of Amman which was not included. Some of the hotels were not up to a standard that we would like and in need of maintenance (faulty leaking showers) but overall we had a terrific trip.

Our two drivers Mo'ayed in Jordan and Monther in Israel were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble they were always on time and very efficient, informative and very pleasant, please pass on our thanks to them they really made the holiday. Our jeep safari of Wadi Rum was very enjoyable what an adventure! as was the entertainment in the Dead Sea and the desert camp.

However we were disappointed by the quality of a number of the hotels we stayed in, as you know we asked to be moved from the Rum Al Waleed for which we were grateful as we were due to stay 4 nights - this hotel was dark, dingy and dirty and Breakfast was very basic. I would highly recommend that you do not put other tourists in that hotel. The Corp which you moved us to was superb and much more the standard we were expecting so thank you for that.

The Grand Court in Jerusalem was also very good, and we enjoyed our stay there.
The Dead Sea Spa was ok but just tired and in need of a refurb and it showed it was tatty and unloved, the food was also not great.
Our desert camp likewise tired and basic - whilst we were expecting a Bedouin camp experience not a 5 star hotel it again had seen better days. The food was very good however! The sister hotel to it in Aqaba was better and we enjoyed our stay there.
The hotel in Petra La Maison the same our room was really tatty and basic.
I can understand that when you are used to using the same hotels some of these things can go unnoticed however you should be checking on your clients experiences and the facilities on offer- with such a wide range of hotels in the area to choose from I would strongly recommend you review your choices.
That said we had a fantastic holiday and with the above caveat would recommend you to others looking to explore this fascinating part of the world.

Thank you for a very well organised and memorable trip!

Petra was great and we all enjoyed that. I was disappointed with Wadi Rum and the organization/lack of information of what we were doing and its duration. For example, we were told we should leave Petra early to get to wadi rum, thinking there was a lot to do. After getting there around 11, we sat around for over an hour not knowing what was going on. For example, we were told we should leave Petra early to get to wadi rum, thinking there was a lot to do. After getting there around 11, we sat around for over an hour not knowing what was going on. We then went on our jeep/camel ride for a few hours and got back around 4 with nothing to do til dinner. Our driver told us he was picking us up the next morning around 6 to do a 1 1/2 hour jeep ride then a 2 hour hike. We woke up at 6 and then told there was a booking issue to see if we could pack up and move our stuff to a different tent. On our ride, the jeep broke down and were stuck for 1 1/2 hours before the replacement jeep came. At that point we were not in the mood to drive another 1 1/2 and hike in the heat of the day which was the whole point we left early. So when we got back we had nothing to do for the whole day and thats why we called our agent to go to Amman earlier. I just felt that if we had known how long that hike/jeep ride was and that we would be doing it in the morning, we wouldn't have stayed an extra night at the camp and went to Amman early and saved the expense of the extra car ride/hotel cost.

This is the first time I have used KimKim, and I am very happy with the booking process and the tour itself. The agent, Raisa, answered all of my questions quickly and in good details. Once we have started the tour, she kept me informed on the tour guide change. The tour itself was wonderful and my group really enjoyed our guides and our time in Jordan. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to travel to Jordan in he future.

The trip was very well organized. The whole process of communication with Raisa and payment process before the trip was very easy. Raisa picked the best itinerary for our short four days stay in Jordan. Our guides were very professional and knowledgeable. Drivers were very polite and courteous. Hotels and bedouin camp which Raisa picked for us were very good, provided great service.
