Rita Tallarom

Traveling, exploring, and getting to know the unknown became part of my life from a young age. Growing up in Europe allowed me to visit different countries frequently from shorter breaks to long adventures. Glancing at the Leaning Tower of Písa or swimming in the ocean for the first time made me want to discover the world. When I arrived in Iceland a few years ago, I did not feel homesick, I was in awe of the beauty and majestic force of nature here. Experiencing the Northern Lights or walking under the midnight sun is part of the many miracles of everyday life in Iceland.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Besides the hidden gems of Iceland, I´d love to share with you more on culture, heritage & wellness. "

How did you get involved in travel?

"I always enjoyed connecting with people, even in my hometown, Budapest. I guided people and showed them the less-known face of the city through social events and walking tours. My interest in travel and tourism led to my recent graduation from a local university´s tourism faculty, where I got a great foundation and a deeper understanding of this magical island and I´d like to share it. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Driving the Kjölur road through the highlands in Iceland, including a hike in Kerlingarfjöll was the most exciting and memorable trip around the country. Glancing the colorful steaming peaks, which are partially covered by snow in June was absolutely breath-taking. "

Húsavík Whale Watching

Near the town of Húsavík, you'll find the world-famous Skjálfandi Bay, known to be one of the best areas in the country to spot whales. Unlike in other regions where you must sail out to sea to find whales, the bay often has whales, porpoises, and seabirds just a few minutes from its harbor. This...

Mývatn Nature Baths

Although Iceland's Blue Lagoon draws the crowds for its milky, blue hue, the popular thermal spa has a rival in the north: Mývatn Nature Baths. Set near Lake Mývatn and about a 1-hour drive from Akureyri, these natural hot springs feature a lagoon-like atmosphere with healing, mineral-rich waters...

South Coast Waterfalls & Beaches

Iceland's scenic South Coast is home to many of the country's most famous attractions—and some offbeat ones! Enjoy a drive cruising along the Ring Road (Route 1) and stopping to view world-famous waterfalls and beaches while passing scenic glaciers and volcanoes along the way.Seljalandsfoss...

Blue Ice Cave Tour

Walking through the electric-blue ice cave of the Vatnajökull glacier is an experience you won't soon forget! The tour begins after meeting your expert and friendly guides at the parking lot of Jökulsárlón, about 2.5 hours east of Vik along the Ring Road. Your guide will take you by Jeep up the...

Although all of us were tired from the long flight in from US, the boat trip from Olafsvik woke everyone up. We had close encounters with Orcas, Sperm whales and porpoises. It was a great start to our vacation.

Was the highlight of our time in Reykjavik. Stevie took us on a culinary tour and also filled us up with local knowledge. We even got to taste the fermented shark (rather gross). But rest of the food was amazing.

Was great. Tom (from Devon, UK) was an awesome guide. And based on his recommendations we had one of the best fish and chips ever from the food truck.

The Blue Lagoon itself was wonderful including the pool and their facilities. But the weather played spoil sport, it was cold, windy and rainy and rather miserable. I am sure the experience would have been 5-star worthy had the weather cooperated.
