Siri Bjørgen

I have a strong passion for the Norwegian wilderness, and want to give people the opportunity to experience the stark contrasts of this country, where the untamed nature blends with sleek, modern life and centuries old Norse design. I tailor adventures where nature plays the main role, and my job is to show travelers the hidden adventures that lies within Norwegian nature. Nature is our biggest playground, it is up to us to use it responsibly.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Contrast Adventure work all over Norway, but we specialize in what we call "The top of fjord- Norway", that focuses on the northwestern part of Norway. Our mission is to show the contrast and great variety of our nature, and this area is our backyard. We try to keep transportation to a minimum, and this area gives mindblowing changes in nature within a short distance. This allows us to keep nature happy and healthy, and also offering our travelers memories of a lifetime. Our main activity is hiking in the summer, and skitouring in the winter. We also arrange tours with other nature based activities such as river-rafting, climbing and cycling. Basically- we support all nature based activites! Our goal is to create great, safe and educational nature based experiences without leaving any traces."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I was born into the industry. Growing up in mountain hotels surronded by happy hikers, led me to go on to study Tourism and Leadership. This has always been my bread and butter, and now I am happy to be a part of the Contrast Adventure team, that support values such as sustainability and responsible tourism, which is also very important to me personally. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My best travel experience is from the summer when we camped on white beaches surrounded by wild, green mountains on the Lofoten Islands. Waking up and gazing out at the ocean and the surroundings, while drinking my coffee, is a mental picture I will never forget. "
