Thaís Catunda
I design thoughtful, seamless, and beautifully personalized journeys across Brazil. With a background in Fine Arts and a deep love for culture, gastronomy, and meaningful experiences, I focus on creating trips that feel both elegant and effortless. I especially enjoy working with couples and families, bringing a warm, attentive approach to every itinerary — always balancing comfort, authenticity, and a genuine sense of connection to each destination.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I specialize in designing thoughtfully curated journeys across Brazil, with a focus on experiences that feel both meaningful and effortless.
I particularly enjoy creating romantic itineraries for couples — combining beautiful destinations, special moments, and a smooth, well-paced experience. I love working with different types of couples and travelers, and I always aim to create journeys where people feel comfortable, welcomed, and truly themselves.
I also work extensively with families, designing trips that balance comfort, flexibility, and engaging activities, so that both adults and children can fully enjoy the experience.
In terms of destinations, I focus on places that offer a strong sense of identity and beauty, such as Rio de Janeiro, Fernando de Noronha, Búzios, Salvador and the Bahia coast, as well as culturally rich experiences in Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
I have a special interest in experiences that combine nature, culture, and gastronomy — from scenic coastal landscapes and unique natural settings to art-focused visits, local cuisine, and carefully selected restaurants.
Whenever possible, I also incorporate experiences that respect local culture and the environment, creating journeys that feel both enriching and responsible.
Overall, I design trips that are elegant, well-organized, and deeply personal — always tailored to each traveler’s style, preferences, and way of experiencing the world."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travel has always been a natural part of my life. I began exploring the world before I turned one, traveling through Europe with my family and later living there for some time. Growing up surrounded by different cultures shaped the way I see travel — as something meaningful, enriching, and deeply human.
Over the years, I continued to travel extensively, including living in the United States during my teenage years. With a background in Fine Arts and a strong appreciation for culture and gastronomy, I naturally developed a desire to help others experience places in a more thoughtful and authentic way.
Designing journeys became a way for me to bring all of these elements together — creating experiences that are not only well-organized, but also warm, personal, and truly memorable."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"One travel experience I will never forget was in Fernando de Noronha, after a full day in the ocean that felt almost like a dream.
During that trip, I actually did my first scuba diving experience there — my discovery dive — which made everything even more special. Seeing the underwater world for the first time, with its colors, marine life, and incredible clarity, was something I had never experienced before. It felt both exciting and a little surreal.
Later, I spent time free diving and swimming, simply enjoying the sea in a more natural and relaxed way. I stayed in the water for hours, completely immersed in that environment, and it felt both energizing and deeply peaceful.
I also had the chance to witness sea turtles nesting and saw dolphins swimming freely in the distance — moments that felt rare, beautiful, and deeply connected to nature.
What made the experience even more meaningful was how safe and well-preserved the island felt. There was a sense of calm and trust that allowed me to fully enjoy every moment.
In the evening, I found a quiet spot to watch the sunset. The light slowly turned golden, reflecting on the ocean, and everything became still. People around me were quiet, simply taking in the beauty of that moment.
It was simple, yet unforgettable — a perfect combination of emotion, nature, and presence.
Experiences like this remind me how powerful travel can be when you truly connect with a place. And that is exactly what I hope to create for my travelers."
