Valentina Lorusso

Ciao!
I’m Valentina, born and raised in the eno-gastronomic heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont, north-western Italy. I studied Interpreting and Translation and have a Master’s degree in Tourism Business. Over more than ten years in the tourism industry, I have worked across its many facets: from wineries and hotels to tour operators, leading tours as a tour leader and ultimately as a travel specialist.

Experiencing tourism from so many perspectives has allowed me to uncover countless details behind the scenes, insights I now weave together to create truly beautiful and meaningful journeys through Italy.

I find true, pure joy in shaping journeys with care and intention, attending to every detail that brings a dream to life. Transforming your wishes into a living itinerary is what inspires me most, along with sharing with you the places that have defined my journey and continue to inspire me.

How did you get involved in travel?

"Hospitality runs in my family: for over forty years, my mom and my dad have been welcoming travelers to our restaurant and rooms, passing down to me the art of making people feel at home!
As I always like to say, I grew up eating agnolotti – delicate pasta filled with meat, cabbage, and rice, – and drinking Barolo wine: two of the most typical delicacies of my home town.

After my studies, I explored the many dimensions of the tourism world, earning my Tour Leader’s license as well. These experiences led me to travel extensively throughout Italy and beyond, deepening my understanding of places, cultures, and people. Today, all those paths converge here, where I design the same kind of meaningful, magical journeys that first inspired me.
"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I was in Jordan, in the heart of the Wadi Rum desert, where the landscape is wild and burnished orange beneath the sun. As I watched the sun sink beyond the horizon alongside the travelers I was guiding through the country – and that later on would become some of my closest friends – I understood with absolute clarity that creating happiness through travel, by sharing my knowledge and care, would become my life’s purpose."

My husband and I enjoyed our trip. Valentina was easy to work with and was always quick to respond to questions. The hotel in Maranola was great. Excellent location, comfortable room with a great view, good breakfast and excellent staff. Our guide the first day was excellent. She walked us around some of the villages and was so helpful teaching us how to use the train and get to the trail near our hotel. It was a great introduction to Cinque Terre. Perfect way to start. We loved the pesto making class with Micky and her father in law. What a fun experience and a beautiful setting. Our local contact always checked in and always kept us updated with our itinerary. The transportation from Florence and to Bolzano was great and both were on time. The hotel in Bolzano was amazing. Thanks to all involved for a great experience.
