Hey there! I'm Vicky, and travel is my passion. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have dedicated my entire career to the travel industry. Melbourne-born, my journey led me to live in the US, Germany, UK, and South Africa. I now live with my family in the Noosa Hinterland, on the Sunshine Coast, and have come back to my roots.
I am more in love with Australia than ever, after nearly a year of traveling this beautiful country with my family.
As a travel professional, my pride lies in crafting personalized and unforgettable journeys for you. Each holiday I design reflects my dedication and attention to detail, treating it as if it were my own. My goal is to weave the perfect tapestry of experiences, ensuring your trip leaves you with amazing memories to last a lifetime.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Whether you dream of a self-drive adventure through Australia or New Zealand, a family holiday exploring the country's must-see destinations, or a romantic honeymoon. I'm here to bring your perfect holiday to life. Every itinerary is tailor-made to incorporate all your desires. Count on my local expertise to suggest the best experiences and hidden gems in each area, ensuring your trip is nothing short of extraordinary. "

How did you get involved in travel?

"Driven by an insatiable wanderlust, my journey began with backpacking adventures through South America and Asia, during and after university. The travel bug had firmly taken root, leaving me with a clear calling: to build a career within the industry I loved. And so, I did just that.

My first foray into the world of travel led me to Austria, where I embraced the role of a Ski guide, immersing myself in the thrill of the mountains and the joy of guiding fellow adventurers. Eventually, I found myself in South Africa, working as a Travel agent, where I had the incredible opportunity to curate remarkable journeys for others, just as I had experienced on my own travels. This chapter marked the beginning of my exploration into different facets of the industry.

From there, I ventured into various roles, including contracting and marketing, each step an exciting chapter in my ever-evolving career. These diverse experiences allowed me to understand the industry from multiple angles, sharpening my skills and deepening my love for travel and its boundless possibilities. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I absolutely can't narrow it down to just one experience!
Galapagos Islands Exploration: A few years ago, I embarked on a trip of a lifetime to the Galapagos Islands. This unique and pristine part of the world enchanted me with its incredible wildlife and untouched beauty, making it an unforgettable adventure.

Hot Air Ballooning over Kenya during the Great migration: Witnessing the great migration from a hot air balloon in Kenya was a truly awe-inspiring experience. Drifting gently over the vast savannah, surrounded by millions of wildebeests and zebras, left me in awe of nature's wonders.

Helicopter Experience: Great Barrier Reef & Whitehaven Beach: My most recent adventure was an incredible helicopter flight over Australia's crown jewels. Soaring above the vibrant Great Barrier Reef, followed by a drop-off at Whitehaven Beach for a picnic and bubbles, offered a bird's-eye view of two breathtaking wonders.

Queenstown, New Zealand - I might have left my heart there ;-) Such a gorgeous spot, and a great base for exploring the surrounding areas. Crystal clear glacier lakes, beautiful landscapes. Nature at its best!"

Our trip to Australia, planned by Vicky through KimKim Travel, truly was the trip of a lifetime.
We began our journey in Sydney, where we thoroughly enjoyed our hotel and immediately fell in love with the city. Sydney was vibrant, clean, and filled with incredibly friendly people. We loved exploring its many restaurants, strolling through the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, and taking the ferry to Manly Beach, which offered spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. One of the highlights of our stay was a waterfall, wine, and wildlife tour with Rob that gave us the opportunity to pet koalas and wallabies—an unforgettable experience.
From there, we traveled to Hamilton Island, which was absolutely spectacular. We stayed at the Beach Club, a beautiful and scenic resort that exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed hiking around the island and taking a snorkeling excursion to Whitehaven Beach. Whitehaven Beach is, without question, one of the most breathtaking beaches we have ever seen. The crystal-clear water and pure white silica sand made it truly unforgettable.
Next, we continued to Palm Cove near Cairns. Although windy weather unfortunately forced the cancellation of our turtle kayaking tour, Vicky quickly adjusted our plans, and we ended up enjoying incredible wildlife experiences instead. We saw tree kangaroos, platypuses, crocodiles, cassowaries, koalas, and wild kangaroos—an absolute dream for wildlife enthusiasts.
Our final destination was Uluru, the perfect ending to an amazing adventure. We were awed by the brilliant night sky and loved riding camels around Uluru at sunset, an experience we will never forget.
Throughout the entire trip, Vicky was exceptional. She was always available, responded quickly, and seamlessly handled any itinerary changes caused by the weather. Knowing she was only a message away gave us tremendous peace of mind throughout our travels.
Australia is an enormous country, and our itinerary included multiple flights and hotels to experience everything we hoped to see. While it was a busy trip, every destination was well worth it, and the logistics were handled smoothly.
If you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply want to experience the incredible diversity Australia has to offer, I cannot recommend Vicky highly enough. She created an itinerary that perfectly matched our interests and made every part of our journey memorable. We returned home with unforgettable memories and immense gratitude for the care and attention she put into planning our vacation.

Hamilton Island

From the moment you step off the plane, Hamilton Island Beach club treat you like royalty. They collect your baggage for you and bring you to paradise. Iris was amazing! Offering up all the service of Hamilton Beach club. The fact that the shuttle brings you all over the island whenever you want is worth the price of this hotel. Other hotels that you stay at need to rent buggies at $140 a day. Keep this in mind when you choose your hotel. You absolutely need them to get around the island. The breakfast that is included is exquisite! Whether you have it from your patio or from the dining room, it is thoughtfully prepared, and à la carte whatever you wish for. Coffee barista is free all day, which is also delicious. The room has a lovely porch with wallabies outside your door each morning. The Aesop toiletries are lovely as well as the Nespresso coffee machine in the room. The beach is lovely, but if you wish to swim in the water, it is a challenge here. The tides are so aggressive that swimming here is an extensive walk over rocks and sand. At high tide, it is lovely, but that seems to be a minimal amount of time per day here. The walk to hidden Beach is lovely. I suggest you look at the title schedule and make sure that you go during high tide. They call the walk moderate but there is quite a steep hill at the so be prepared for that. Hamilton Island is a unique place in that. All the restaurants and shops are all part of the same system. Wi-Fi works throughout the island and you can charge anything to your room anywhere. If you were looking for a beach vacation, this might not be the place, but I would not hesitate to stay here again for all other amazing amenities!

The Reef House Adults Retreat
Palm Cove

The Reef House is a beautiful hotel that feels like stepping back in time in the best possible way. Its charming white buildings, lush tropical gardens, and warm terracotta accents create a peaceful, elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The hotel offers an impressive range of amenities, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind, and it's conveniently located within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants. Unfortunately, our itinerary was packed with tours and excursions, so we weren't able to take full advantage of everything the hotel had to offer. If we return, we would definitely plan to spend more time simply enjoying the property. I would highly recommend The Reef House to anyone looking for a tranquil, beautiful place to stay in Palm Cove.

Rob was a perfect guide! Personable and knowledgeable about the area and a definite part of a great day. Absolutely amazing experience feeding the wallabies and kangaroos. And petting the koala as a private part of the tour before the zoo opened was ideal. The waterfall was an easy hike and the wine tasting lovely to end the tour.

Fun boat ride out to amazing snorkeling. The variety of coral and fish were breathtaking. Whitehaven Beach has the most beautiful, soft and fine sand I have ever seen in my life. It was so soft that it squeaked when you walked on it. Water was beautiful turquoise blue. Walk up to the outlook was longer than expected. Would have preferred to stay longer on the beach. Boat staff were lovely. Don’t visit Hamilton Island without going to this beach.

Passions of Paradise Great Barrier Reef Snorkel and Dive Cruise from Cairns by Luxury Catamaran
Passions of Paradise Great Barrier Reef Snorkel and Dive Cruise from Cairns by Luxury Catamaran
Australia

We had a snorkeling excursion from Cairns aboard a comfortable catamaran, and although the weather didn't cooperate, it was still a worthwhile experience. Unfortunately, it was a very windy day, so for safety reasons we were only able to visit one snorkeling site, and the seas were quite rough. What really stood out was the incredible crew. They were attentive, professional, and constantly checking on everyone to make sure we felt safe and comfortable in the challenging conditions. Their calm, friendly attitude made a big difference throughout the day. Even with the rough seas, the Great Barrier Reef was absolutely beautiful and an unforgettable place to snorkel. We'd love to come back another time when the weather is calmer to experience even more of the reef. Lunch on board was delicious, and the warm meal was especially appreciated after spending time in the cool, windy water. We also appreciated how organized the transportation was. At the end of the trip, the staff personally helped us locate our shuttle back to our hotel, making the return trip smooth and stress-free. While the weather limited our experience, the outstanding service and the beauty of the reef made this an excursion we would still recommend.

Will was an excellent guide! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the crocs on the river. The night tour was a cool experience , but we didn’t see much wildlife. The highlight of the trip was seeing a cassowary walk by us, close enough to touch. Will’s overall expertise on the walk made us see everything we possibly could. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this tour!!

Uluru

The sunset camel ride around Uluru was a memorable way to experience the area from a different perspective. Riding through the desert as the sun began to set offered beautiful views, and it was interesting to see Uluru change colors throughout the evening. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, sharing information about the camels and the surrounding landscape along the way. The camels were gentle, well-behaved, and fun to ride, making it easy to enjoy being so close to them. At the end of the tour, we were served wine and light nibbles while watching the sunset. It was a nice way to relax after the ride and take in the scenery before heading back. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience and a good addition to our time at Uluru, especially for anyone looking to experience the landscape in a unique way.

Uluru

The opportunity to see Uluru up close was truly unforgettable. Walking around the base of the rock gave us a real appreciation for its immense size and beauty, and watching it glow with changing colors at sunset was one of the highlights of our visit. The tour itself was a bit different from what I had expected. I was hoping to learn more about the geology and science behind Uluru, but the focus was almost entirely on Aboriginal culture and storytelling. While I understand and appreciate the cultural significance of the site, I would have enjoyed a more balanced presentation that included both the cultural and natural history of the rock. Our guide was knowledgeable, but we didn't feel particularly engaged by the presentation. It's possible we simply didn't connect with this guide, as others may have a different experience. Overall, I'm glad we took the tour because it gave us the chance to walk around Uluru and experience the spectacular sunset. However, if your primary interest is seeing the rock itself rather than a guided cultural experience, you may find that exploring the base on your own within the national park provides a similarly rewarding experience.

The Sebel Quay West Suites
The Rocks

The Sebel Quay West Suites in Sydney was exceptional! The view was just stunning, and from a quality perspective, it was probably the best. We felt really treated well, and the spaciousness and luxury of the room made our stay very comfortable.

Reef View Hotel
Whitsunday Islands, Queensland

The Reef View Hotel was the highlight of our stay! The presidential suite was just lovely and exceptionally spacious. Even though the furniture appeared slightly dated, it was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed having so much space and the private amenities, like the golf cart with a reserved parking spot, made our stay even more special. Definitely the best hotel experience of the trip.

Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane
Brisbane

Our stay at the Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane was overall satisfactory once we settled in. However, the early arrival experience was less than ideal as they were quite strict about the check-in time, not allowing any possibility of early access. The room itself was great, with everyone having a comfortable bed, but the initial waiting after a long flight was a bit of a letdown.

Vicky, our specialist, is exceptional, and if planning a trip I would highly recommend using her. She put together a trip that was truly some of Australia's highlights. We spent time in Sydney, the outback, particularly Uluru, and the Great Barrier Reef. Each area had something different to offer. The beaches in Sydney were beautiful, with great shopping. We stayed at Ayers Rock Resort, with great tours to Uluru, and again, lots of local shopping. We visited a huge cattle ranch which was very interesting and saw plenty of sunsets with amazing clear nighttime skies. And finally, we went snorkling in the Great Barrier Reef, which I feel was the best part of our entire time. It was truly a wonderful trip.

The Southern Daintree Tour and Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas were delightful, especially getting to interact closely with kangaroos, which was a dream come true for me. We also saw a koala, although it was a bit hidden in the trees. The tour felt a little packed as we also did a river cruise for crocodile spotting, which we felt we could have traded for more time in the rainforest. Still, the rainforest landscapes and the wildlife habitat were absolutely beautiful.

The Panoramic Sydney with Lunch cruise was a bit disappointing. We felt quite rushed during the bus tour part, and my daughter even got motion sickness from the winding roads. There just wasn't enough time at stops, like Bondi Beach, to fully enjoy the sights and shops. We ended up skipping the lunch cruise and explored Sydney on our own, shopping and enjoying the markets, which turned out to be a much better experience.

The guidance we provided about preferences meant that our tour was geared to our interests very well. Any problems were due to miscalculation on our part: there was a LOT of walking on the tour and my husband had greater mobility limitations than we had expected. Generally, guides were extremely helpful in working around this and there was only one scheduled event that we had to cancel. We also tended to look for dining closer to hotels (and these were excellent).
Great guides included Helder in the Blue Mountains, Andy at Uluru, Errol on the Ocean Road from Melbourne and Jennifer in Hobart. Sue Ann at the Sydney Opera House was also wonderful. All the guides and tour companies showed good planning and a lot of expertise about their local areas and their history and wildlife.
Overall, our tour went very well and was extremely enjoyable.

Day 2 - Chef Led Hunter Valley Gourmet Food and Wine tour was great. Jimmy owns/operates the tour and prepares food to pair with the wine. Highlight was going to the new Sydney Fish Market where Jimmy picked up fresh fish and oysters for our food later during the wine tour. The wineries and food were great.
Day 3 - Walking tour, Sydney Opera House tour, and Sydney Bridge Climb Summit. Craig led the walking tour and provided a wealth of information on the beginning of Sydney and concentrated on the botanical garden and how Sydney came about and significant events. The Opera house tour was very good and we were able to the wonderful architecture. It was raining during the Sydney Bridge Climb but rain coats were provided. It is not a hard climb and our tour guide, Nico, kept the group motivated for the climb. The guide has a transmitter and we had ear phones to hear him during the hike. We were drenched but enjoyed it.
Day 4 - Blue Mountain tour - It was raining and couldn't see much. Can't do anything about the weather. We did see another couple on our trip that went on the tour and they showed us pictures that looked awesome.
Day 5 - Travel to Cairns/Port Douglas - Ground transportation and flight went great.
Day 6 - ABC Reef Safaris - The snorkeling was wonderful. We spent about 1.5 hours at two different spots and were led in the water by ABC who also have Marine Biologists on the tour. We saw a Manta Ray which is very rare. The food supplied on the boat was great and plentiful.
Day 7 - Daintree Rain Forest and Nocturnal Tour - Another great tour led by our guide Nicki. We went out on a river boat looking for crocodiles and found a few along the shore. We saw a cassowary bird that is only found in Australia. We had dinner in the rain forest and able to try kangaroo. We did a nocturnal walking tour and spotted quite a few different animals/birds/frogs. Nicki was a great guide and loaded with information.
Day 8 - Bump Track Mountain Biking - This was canceled due to so much rain. The guide, Steve, for the bike ride was willing to do a different tour but the road was flooded. Steve was great to deal with and he was trying to give us a memorable tour but had to cancel.
Day 9 - Travel to Uluru/Ayers Rock with 4wd Mount Connor tour - No issue with ground/air transportation. We stayed at Sails in the Desert Resort and it was very nice. Mount Connor tour was very good but the highlight was having dinner with the cattle farm owner, Amy, where she explained the operation of the cattle ranch and growing up on a million acre cattle ranch.
Day 10 - Uluru/Ayers Rock tour - very good tour with history of the area learning the history of the aboriginal people. A net to cover your face is a must with the flies when it is hot out.
Day 11 - Transfer to Melbourne - No issue with ground/air transportation. Had a wonderful dinner at Hopscotch on Riverside Quay.
Day 12 - Yarra Valley Grazing Tour - We got on a bus from Go West Tours and Ashleigh was our guide/driver and was fun and very entertaining. We sampled wine, cheese, gin, and chocolate on the tour. Wonderful day with beautiful scenery.
Day 13 - Laneways of Melbourne - John was our tour guide and did a wonderful job explaining the history of the city and setting up lots and roadways. He was able to show us how the shops moved goods into the warehouses and the wonderful architecture that you would never see if you didn't know where to look for it. The public library was our last stop and a must see.
Day 14 - Great Ocean Road Tour - This was a tour with just the 4 of us in our group. Cory was our guide and did a great job explaining how the GOR was built by WW1 veterans to help them get over shell shock/ptsd. The coast was beautiful and stopped at a the 12 Apostes. (not really 12) We toured a wildlife sanctuary and spotted a couple of Koala Bears in the trees swaying in the breeze.
Day15-16 - travel back to Sydney and home to USA.

Overall, the trip was fantastic. The transportation within Australia was all planned by Vicky and we had no issues. Everything was planned very well and we loved all of the tours. Highly recommend Vicky!

The Hotel Windsor
Melbourne

The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne was nice, but the noise from the nearby rooftop bar due to the Formula One racing during our stay was a bit disruptive. Apart from that, there were no issues.

Sails In The Desert
Yulara

Sails In The Desert was accommodating to our early arrival and offered to hold our bags. They even allowed us to check in early, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a great experience there.

Had to ask them to clean the floor even after they made up the room.

ABC Reef Safaris in Port Douglas was an amazing experience. The small group snorkelling was well managed, with guides explaining the marine life in detail. We snorkelled at two different sites, and the guide pointed out fascinating things underwater. Spotting a manta ray was the highlight, and even got footage shared with me!

Sydney

The Chef-Led Hunter Valley Gourmet Food and Wine Day Tour from Sydney was really good. We stopped at the Sydney fish market, which was new to us, and enjoyed picking out fresh fish. The wine tours were fantastic, and having different foods prepared by the chef along the way made it a very enjoyable trip.

Uluru

The Mount Conner 4WD Small Group Tour from Ayers Rock was insightful but a bit long. The highlight was the dinner where the ranch owner's daughter shared her experiences about life there. It was enlightening, but the tour around Mount Conner could have been shorter.

The Luxe Bus Great Ocean Road with Wildlife Wonders Tour was spectacular. We had beautiful weather, and the trip was filled with insights into the road's history and its construction. The scenic views were breathtaking and added a lot of value to the tour.

Blue Mountains Deluxe Day Tour
Sydney

The Blue Mountains Deluxe Day Tour was hindered by poor visibility and weather. The guide tried to give us a good experience by stopping at a different waterfall that we could see. Lunch was average, and the restaurant owner was a little rude, which dampened the experience.

Vicky was professional, communicative and accommodated all requests when needed. Prompt whenever we had questions.
As a personal opinion a couple of the tour parts we did, did not live up to expectations. However overall the trip was really enjoyable and we would happily recommend Kim Kim and Vicky as a specialist to support.
