Argentina may be the second-largest country in South America, but even with just five days you can see much of it. One option is to enjoy a culinary experience and cowboy outing in and around the capital of Buenos Aires. Or you could travel north, to the mesmerizing deserts around Salta and the CalchaquĂ Valley. If you want to see one of the great natural wonders of the western hemisphere, make a beeline from the capital to IguazĂș Falls, which is located at the northern border with Brazil and Paraguay.

The capital of Argentina is a Latin American/European hybrid like no other city on this earth. Buenos Aires' rich culture is exemplified in its neoclassical and baroque architecture, the cobbled streets of its old neighborhoods, and the visceral passion of the city's Porteño soccer fans. Get the best of this concrete jungle on a 5-day tour which explores the city and indulges in its rising food scene, not to mention allows time for tango dancing and horseback riding with real gaucho cowboys.

Explore the famed wine region of Mendoza, road-trip around the colorful northwest, see the spectacular waterfalls at IguazĂș, view whales and penguins in the wild, and enjoy wine and tango in the capital city with the options below.

My son and I planned a trip to Iguzu Falls and Buenos Aires before his planned study abroad. His Spanish is rusty and mine is non-existent, so I booked our trip through KimKim in the hopes we’d have an easier time of things working with an English-speaking team. I was consistently and pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to work with Mery from afar. I was also always impressed with the tours and activities we participated in. We did a group tour to both the Argentina and Brazil sides of Iguazu Falls, with Daniela, our tour guide. She went above and beyond to make sure we safely got across the border, coming and going, which made us feel much more confident navigating the language barrier. Daniela also helped my son practice his Spanish, which helped him feel more prepared to start school here at the end of our visit. When in Buenos Aires, we did a half-day walking tour with Natalia, who taught us both so much about the history, culture, and language of Argentina. She gave us recommendations for movies to watch, futbol teams to cheer for, and other resources to learn more about my son’s host country. All our experiences felt cultivated just for us, and that personalization greatly enhanced our experience in Argentina. I wholeheartedly recommend!

Buenos Aires

When in Buenos Aires, we did a half-day walking tour with Natalia, who taught us both so much about the history, culture, and language of Argentina. She gave us recommendations for movies to watch, futbol teams to cheer for, and other resources to learn more about my son’s host country. She showed my son, who would be going to school in Buenos Aires after my departure, how to use public transport and get his Sube card. We saw monuments to history and the religions that influenced the beautiful city and country, learned about Tango and Mafalda and Maradona, and countless other things that make Argentina and Buenos Aires unique. I loved every second we spent with her! I wholeheartedly recommend!

Quality of Experience
Natalia’s knowledge and enthusiasm made this experience for us!

Natalia went above and beyond to be responsive to questions and interests we had. She customized our experience.

We are very happy to hear that the planning process felt easy and reassuring from the very beginning, especially while organizing everything from abroad. It is especially nice to hear how meaningful the cultural side of the trip became for your son as he prepared for his study abroad experience. Those moments of connection with the local culture, language and people are often the ones travelers remember the most ✹
We are also glad that the tours and activities en IguazĂș y Buenos Aires. felt personal and thoughtfully designed for you both. Creating journeys that feel authentic and tailored to each traveler is something we truly care about, so your words mean a great deal to our team.
If Argentina, Chile or South America are on your horizon again, i will be there to help you plan your next experience.

The choice of four of the most spectacular Argentinian locations (the Lake Country - Bariloche, the wine country – Mendoza, the rain forest – Iguazu, and Buenos Aires) was excellent for first-time explorers like us in the country. The Kimkim team was highly interactive, asking about and responding to our interests, suggesting locations, and working with us at every step. The team was especially responsive in working with us to revise and adapt the original plan when a significant ‘hitch’ occurred on our part.
We can’t say enough positive things about the planning and care by staff (Micaela & Julieta): every ride was there when promised, the guides (Sabrina and Rodriguez) were beyond excellent with their in-depth knowledge and interpretation, the choice of hotels (espeically the boutique hotel in Palermo/Soho and the Yurt at Pristine Camp) , and regular contact with us to make sure all was well.
Though all parts of the trip were superb, the cooking class Lamadrid Winery in Mendoza and the Iguazu Falls in Iguazu were fun and engaging.
This was our second Kimkim trip planning experience, and it’s not likely to be the last!! Thank you, Kimkim!!

Half Day Dinner & Tango Show with Lesson included
Buenos Aires

Superb! It started off with us two - 86 and 83 years young - working our way through a Tango lesson. Even have a video to share (if we choose!). Then a stage-side dinner show. Dinner was good, the Tango show (90 minutes) was fun and superb. It happened that the couple sharing our table had their daughter as a part of one of the Tango teams. That added some 'connection' for us, and after the show, we had our pictures taken with the daughter and her Tango partner.

Our airport transfers were seamless and always on time and the hotels were perfect for each location. We loved every place we visited. Our most memorable hotel was in Mendoza and it was perfectly scheduled as a time to relax 3/4 into our trip. Even activities we didn’t expect, like The Argentine Experience, were amazing.
