Argentina may be the second-largest country in South America, but even with just five days you can see much of it. One option is to enjoy a culinary experience and cowboy outing in and around the capital of Buenos Aires. Or you could travel north, to the mesmerizing deserts around Salta and the Calchaquí Valley. If you want to see one of the great natural wonders of the western hemisphere, make a beeline from the capital to Iguazú Falls, which is located at the northern border with Brazil and Paraguay.

The capital of Argentina is a Latin American/European hybrid like no other city on this earth. Buenos Aires' rich culture is exemplified in its neoclassical and baroque architecture, the cobbled streets of its old neighborhoods, and the visceral passion of the city's Porteño soccer fans. Get the best of this concrete jungle on a 5-day tour which explores the city and indulges in its rising food scene, not to mention allows time for tango dancing and horseback riding with real gaucho cowboys.

After arriving in Buenos Aires, you'll fly here and explore one of the best preserved colonial cities in South America. Then hit the road with an experienced guide and visit the giant salt flats and Humahuaca Gorge, as well as traditional Andean towns known for pre-Colombian history in the Jujuy Province.

Agustina help us to plan our visit to Argentina. She answered every question and was able to accommodate all the changes we asked for.

The first stop in El Calafate was full of adventure seeing multiple glaciers and ice bergs. Every detail was handled for us from local flights ( Buenos Aires to El Calafate) to our hotel (Hosteria Blanca Patagonia). Even the transfers from the airport always had someone waiting with a clear sign containing our name so we were never worried that we were forgotten.

We then went north to Iguazu Falls. We enjoyed the same personal service. Aguas Grandes were always on time, they always knew our plan for the day (and even the next day) and always made us feel special. La Reserva Virgin Lodge was amazing! Tucked into the jungle it was quiet, serene and the staff were all friendly.

Ending our journey in Buenos Aires at the Casa Su Palermo. A modern, sophisticated and well located hotel.

I can't compliment enough all of our tour operators, guides, drivers, and hotel staff. Everything went off without a hitch.

Thank you KimKim team for a once in a lifetime trip!

Unfortunately we had a lot of rain the day before the bike tour and the roads were too muddy to navigate. Our guide still took us on a nice ride near the hotel and pointed out lots of fun facts about the trees and the jungle. The Kayak trip up the river was "ok". Don't get me wrong, standing in Argentina, being able to see Paraguay and Brazil and then kayak for a couple of hours on a beautiful day is hard to beat. But, at the end of the day, it wasn't terrible adventurous or exciting.

What a fun "ice hike"! Walking around the glacier and eventually on the glacier was fantastic. The guides were all very knowledgable and eager to share. The glass of whisky with glacial ice at the end was a nice touch!

I can't speak highly enough about the team from Say Hue Que in Buenos Aires, Micaela, Mila and Camilla. You ladies are fantastic. You made our trip from planning to execution to emergency hospital visit run so smoothly. You also linked us up with some amazing guides, in particular Carlos from Condor Travel in Peru, who was with us for six days, including four days walking the Inca Trail. His knowledge of Incan history, flora and fauna was exceptional. And a huge shout to our chef, Wilbur and his team of porters who made it possible for us to complete the Inca Trail. Who thought we could eat restaurant quality food in the middle of the Andes, miles from anywhere. You always had smiles on your faces and your speed and agility on the trail was mind blowing.
Lake Titicaca was also a beautiful place, but more than the floating reed islands of Uros, which were fascinating. Our guide, Abad, also from Condor Travel, lead us for two days hiking Taquile Island, cycling the Luquina Peninsula and kayaking along the coast of the lake. He helped us create memories of a lifetime!
Our guides in Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls also did a good job but as we had small group tours (we had private tours in Peru) we didn't get to know them so well.

The night was marred by it taking 75 minutes to get there as we were the first to be picked up and others weren't in the lobby on time, so we did a lot of waiting, and then 50 minutes to get home as we were the last to be dropped off. Mu husband then got sick afterwards (he never gets sick)

Our guide Abad made the two days a memorable experience. Viewing the lake from different perspectives gives Lake Titicaca more life. Everyone goes to see the Uros Islands, the floating reed islands, which are incredible, as are the people who live on them. But Lake Titicaca at 4000m, is more than that and to experience it hiking, cycling and kayaking is a great experience as you get to see different perspectives of the region. The home stay was also great to do.

This kayak on Laguna Puiray was excellent. The guide supplied us with quality kayaks as well as good quality wetsuits and booties. It was out first time in South America and we were not sure what to expect. It was great. Kimkim came up with a very good plan and the execution was flawless. Hotels were all excellent except one, guides were great, every pick up on time and communication through the Vamoos was good.
We thought Buenos Aires would be the high light, but Mendoza, Salta and Iguazu Falls were all better. Scenery was fantastic, wine was great and cheap, and the people were so friendly. Our one disappointment was the steak - sorry but Texas steak is better.
