It was out first time in South America and we were not sure what to expect. It was great. Kimkim came up with a very good plan and the execution was flawless. Hotels were all excellent except one, guides were great, every pick up on time and communication through the Vamoos was good.
We thought Buenos Aires would be the high light, but Mendoza, Salta and Iguazu Falls were all better. Scenery was fantastic, wine was great and cheap, and the people were so friendly. Our one disappointment was the steak - sorry but Texas steak is better.

kimkim is a gem! We booked with them for Norway last year and Buenos Aires and Patagonia this year. This will continue to be our go-to travel agency. The ability to customize a trip, remain as independent as desired, and receive reliable help with locals while traveling is priceless. From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, kind, and very knowledgeable.

With keen listening skills, Mery patiently developed a customized travel plan that met our unique desires and needs. Once booked, we had the support of Antonella, who continued to work out more specific details for the trip and actually book all of our hotels, excursions, and transfers.

During the trip, as questions or requests arose, Antonella and the customer service team responded quickly and made adaptations that really helped our family enjoy this trip. Half-Day Buenos Aires Walking Tour (South)

Rocio took us on a wonderful urban adventure through Palermo, Centro Historico, San Telmo, and La Boca. She was fun, engaging, very knowledgeable, and made it a wonderful tour. We loved our trip. Our guides and tours in Buenos Aires were wonderful, and the Ventana Tango Show was a big highlight. Iguazu Falls was great to see and it was fun getting drenched going under the waterfall. We really enjoyed our day driving to Aconcagua Provincial Park, and our guide was fabulous. Wine tasting in Mendoza was fun, and we loved the lunch at the winery. Bariloche was beautiful, and our kayaking experience in the rain was magical. We feel like we really got to experience Argentina and we had a lovely time!

Full-Day Kayak & Trekking at Lake Mascardi

The kayak guides were excellent and the rain gear was awesome. We paddled in the rain and stayed dry. It was a fun experience and we were the only ones on the lake. The "picnic" they gave us for lunch was amazing, and showed they put a lot of care into it. The hiking part of our day was cancelled due to rain, so we didn't experience that.

The scenery was beautiful and our guide gave us good info. The cooking class was disappointing. We folded an empanada and dipped some meat in breadcrumbs, but we didn't actually learn how to cook anything.

The planning in el calafate was not as good. The tour the first day spent way too much time on the boat and we barely got to see the glacier. And they failed to tell us that the tour the second day was at night (even though the schedule implied it would be during the day) until the day before when it was too late to make any other plans, and since it was Christmas Day there was literally nothing to do in town. This was disappointing because we asked if there were any issues with our tour being on Christmas and they said none at all.

Also the travel company failed to tell us to bring $100 bills so we could exchange money and that it was very difficult to get pesos without a $100 bill.

Overall we liked most of the activities but there could have been much better planning and communication and information sharing.

The sights were cool but there was way too much time on the boat. We spent more time on the boat than off it and only got to spend 35 minutes at the glacier. There are definitely better tours of the glaciers.

Planning and execution of the itinerary was flawless. Glad we trusted kimkim and their partners in making the trip hassle free and all we had to worry about was how to enjoy it. Our Buenos Aires chauffer Leo was exceptional. Felipe and Florencia kept in touch in making sure our trip prep and arrival are going as planned. They gave many helpful tips in navigating Argentina. We loved our Glacier tour guide Pablo very informative and made the 50ish km trip entertaining!Our favorite was the Penguin island tour. We were running late but they waited for us for extra 5mins and so glad we did not miss it. Mery our trip planner was very patient with me as I kept changing my mind about the itinerary but once we got it together she organized everything and I did not have to worry a bit. Thank you very much Kimkim!

The itinerary was well thought out and the reservations with lodging and tours went very smoothly. The places that we visited and the people that we ecountered were wonderful, and I believe that we experienced a great deal of what Torres del Paine and Santiago have to offer.
However, some of the tickets for buses were not shared, leading to confusion once we arrived in Punta Arenas. Additionally some of the pick-up and drop-off times often differed by an hour or more, causing us to miss dinner reservations (incurring cancellation fees) and to miss out on other opportuntinues. These errors may fall on the tranportation vendors that were used (CL Mundo, Patagonia Planet), but there seemed to be communication lapses between them and Say Haeque.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience in a beautiful/welcoming country, but there appeared to be a lack of attention to detail that caused us temporrary frustration while in Chile.

Full Day Visit to two wineries in the Colchagua Valley

Great wine tour in two scenic locations and the wine was awesome! However, the drop off time at our hotel was much later than expected, causing us to miss dinner reservations and incur cancellation fees. We were told that we would be home between 8-9 PM, but were actually dropped off at 10:15 PM.
