How Many Days to Spend in Namibia

Namibia is a vast country with great distances between destinations. In one week, it's possible to see the highlights of the deserts and national parks and go on a safari. However, two weeks is the right amount of time to drive to the main attractions and avoid spending too many hours in a vehicle. In three weeks, you can take a road trip around the country, go on multiday hikes, and venture into neighboring Botswana.

Namibia is a vast country with a wide variety of desert and coastal landscapes, and with five days in the country, you can get a taste of its highlights. Most tours start in the Germanic capital, Windhoek, from where you can embark on a self or private guided tour. Be amazed by vast red dunes, ancient canyons, abundant wildlife and birds, eerie shipwrecks along the coast, and European-like cities.
