Everest Mountain Flight, Explore Kathmandu

In Nepali it's known as Sagarmatha, but to the rest of us, it's Mt. Everest, quite possibly the most famous mountain in the world. Most people will never have the opportunity to summit this 8,848-meter/29,028-foot giant, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy its panoramic vistas from above. All that's required is a quick mountain flight.

After a pickup at your hotel, you'll transfer to Kathmandu airport for this brisk one-hour flight. Know that the plane leaves early, before breakfast, so as to catch the first rays of sun as they gild the Himalayan peaks. That's right, on this flight you won't just see Mt. Everest, but Nepal's other towering mountains as well. The plane flies east along the Himalayan range to Mt. Everest and back and along the way there are prime views of Shisha Pangma (8,013 meters/26,289 feet), Cho-Oyu (8,201 meters/26,906), Nuptse (7,855 meters/25,771), and finally Everest. Upon returning to the Kathmandu airport, you will return to your hotel by private transfer.
