Trail Running in the foothills above Stanford & Silicon Valley

Overview

The San Francisco Bay Area is well known for Stanford and the many tech companies such as Google and Apple lining the highways of Silicon Valley. Lesser known, but equally worth visiting, are the foothills that separate the SF Bay from the Pacific Ocean.

Within a 15-minute drive of Palo Alto and Stanford you'll arrive on beautiful trails, perfect for a hike or run. On this experience, you will join me on an 7 mile (11 km) run along the Los Trancos Trail in foothills park.  The trail has significant elevation (1600 ft / 500 m) so you'll need to be well-trained for some steep slopes.

The Los Trancos trail is incredibly scenic and takes us through various micro-climates and vegetation as we climb the Bay Area foothills. On top you'll be rewarded with expansive views of the Bay, San Francisco (visible on clear days) and Silicon Valley. During the run I will share my stories about life in the Bay Area as an entrepreneur, and my passion for trail running.
