La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa, Hoi An
Polished resort near Hoi An Ancient Town offering multiple pools, an award-winning spa, and exceptional dining options

Amazing location just out of town. Quiet beautiful landscaping. Great food.
This resort was so outstanding that we did not want to leave!!
On site restaurant is amazing!

The spa is phenomenal! Wished our stay was longer!
The hotel has very nice pools, gardens, restaurants and bar. All amenities were very accesible. About 1 mile from downtown.
Overview
Luxury retreat La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa sprawls amid lush tropical gardens, and is flanked by vivid green rice fields and village lanes—a 15-minute walk to Ancient Town and its attractions, like the Japanese Covered Bridge. Rooms blend Vietnamese and modern design with handcrafted teak furniture and polished wood floors. Upgraded options include balconies, deep wooden bathtubs, and/or private saunas. Guests can dine on Vietnamese and international flavors at two restaurants, unwind at the award-winning spa, enjoy multiple pools, including a saltwater option, and work out at the gym.
Kimkim's Take
- It's a 15-minute walk from La Siesta to UNESCO-protected Hoi An Ancient Town, or a short bike ride.
- You'll have your pick of four distinct pools, including saltwater, freshwater, an infinity option with views of the rice fields and a swim-up bar, and a pool dedicated to the kids.
- Indulge in a signature treatment at on-site La Spa with Himalayan salt therapy or the four-hands massage.
- Dining options include the Red Bean Restaurant, which serves traditional Vietnamese and Hoi An-specific cuisine, and The Temple Restaurant & Lounge, which offers international dishes in a fine-dining setting.
- Rooms and suites are designed in a blend of Asian and modern styles, and many feature private balconies with views of the gardens, rice fields, or pools.
- You can enjoy complimentary bicycles for scenic rides around the area or catch the free shuttle into the historic center.
- La Siesta Hoi An's proximity to the city center means that you might experience some street noise, especially if you're a light sleeper.
- Some parts of the hotel may feel dated, but this adds a touch of character and charm, reminiscent of a bygone era.
Authenticity
Nestled among tropical gardens, fragranced with the property's areca flowers, and not far from the historic center, La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa blends modern luxury with traditional Vietnamese aesthetics, like colonial and period-style decor (think heavy teak furniture and marble tiles) and walls painted in Hoi An's defining yellow (though muted in rooms). La Siesta's restaurant, Red Bean, serves traditional Vietnamese, as well as local Hoi An dishes (if you're here on a Tuesday or Saturday evening, try Red Bean's Street Food menu), and European cuisine, reflecting the region's culinary diversity. The Temple, a fine dining international fusion offering, takes its name from the 15th-century community house next door, which acts as a traditional place of worship for the neighborhood.
Location
Sitting on a quieter street and flanked on one side by rice fields, the resort is about a 10-15-minute walk from Ancient Town, making it an ideal base for exploring the city's historic sites. The Japanese Covered Bridge, the Old House of Tan Ky, and the Assembly Hall of the Cantonese Chinese Congregation, for example, can be reached in about 15-20 minutes on foot (or a quick pedal via the hotel's complimentary bikes), while An Bang Beach is a short 10-minute drive away.
Rooms & Bathrooms
There are two wings of rooms at La Siesta Hoi An: the Classic and the swankier Club. The 70 rooms of the Classic Wing are more traditional, with the walls painted in Hoi An's soft buttery yellow and solid wood furnishings in stylized Asian motifs. The newer 67-room luxury annex surrounds the saltwater and infinity pools, and is individually decorated in colonial and period-style Vietnamese handcrafted teak furniture, polished wood and/or marble floors, dusty gray blue or neutral cream walls. Bathrooms are well-appointed, with some suites offering private tubs and saunas. Views of both wings range from the central or tropical gardens and rice fields to the Thanh Ha community house and/or pool(s).
Amenities
The retreat has a number of choice amenities, including four outdoor pools—a saltwater pool, a freshwater pool, a children's pool, and an infinity pool and swim-up bar with views of the surrounding rice fields. Award-winning La Spa offers a range of treatments, from Himalayan salt stone massage to herbal therapies, while dining options include innovative Vietnamese cuisine (highlighting local fare) at Red Bean Restaurant, and European and Asian fusion dishes at The Temple Restaurant & Lounge. There's also a gym, a Kids Club, a complimentary shuttle service to and from Ancient Town, and bicycles you can borrow.Family-Friendliness
Families are welcome at La Siesta Hoi An. There are a handful of room options that sleep 3-5 guests with cribs available upon request and extra beds for a fee. The Classic Wing's Deluxe Family room accommodates up to five members (per the resort's children policy, a child will have to share a bed with a parent), and the more spacious Club Wing's Duplex Suite Balcony offers separate sleeping areas for parents and their offspring. There's a kiddie pool, a Kids Club, and a babysitting service (subject to availability). While restaurants don't explicitly feature kids' menus, there are numerous options to satisfy the pickiest palettes.Sustainability
La Siesta Hoi An is committed to sustainable practices and to the local community, from its eco-conscious design using bamboo, wood, and palm leaves to the lush landscape where 70% of the grounds are dedicated to greenery. The resort minimizes its footprint with refillable glass water bottles, composting garden waste into natural fertilizer, and replacing single-use plastics with ceramic, stainless steel, and recyclable alternatives. Guests can enjoy fresh air, natural cooling from the gardens, and authentic Vietnamese architecture and art crafted by local artisans, all while knowing their stay supports conservation projects and the surrounding community.Like what you see?
