Arianna Zampieri

Born in the Turin hillside area, halfway from the Alpine mountain chain and the beautiful coastline of Liguria, I have always been a nature lover and a passionate foodie. My curiosity and eagerness to explore the world, led me on multiple trips and longer stays abroad since an early age. On these adventures, I have always loved the contact with locals and fellow travelers, walking around trying to deeply feel the atmosphere of that place and discovering its culture through the tasting of its speciaities. Each adventure made me better and stronger, and in each place I was able to learn something from the "new" and "different".
Now, I wish to provide amazing experiences for anyone coming to Italy, hoping that I will contribute to create lifechanging moments for them.

"As part of the Storywalking team, we specialize in the exploration of Italy top to bottom, into unusual urban and rural attractions, sights, crafts, workshops, kitchens - out-of-the-way places that tourism generally ignores. With tours throughout Italy, we create tailored itineraries providing satisfying immersive experiences into the most beautiful hidden corners of Italy."

How did you get involved in travel?

"As a typical Italian, I am always been very pround of the country I was born into and eager to share its beauty with all the foreigners I came across. For this reason, I studied Languages applied to business and tourism, willing to acquire the tools and knowledge to work in this sector. After some years abroad, I worked for a small tour operator in Piedmont, in the Langhe region, and fell in love with the concept of creating tailor-made experiences that allow visitors to experience this territory in an authentic way, in contact with local producers. I then started collaborating with Storywalking to broaden my horizons, promoting not only a specific region, but Italy as a whole and continue my mission of sharing its beauty."

The confidence and security provided by the KimKim platform was outstanding... The passion and experience of Arianna (Storywalking partner of KimKim) was very evident in the selection of Hotels, Tours and pacing of the itinerary... The entire process went together like a new set of LEGOS.... Location of Hotels that provided walking access to scheduled tours and restaurants... Drivers that were on time or earlier... Amazing trip. The daily communication is outstanding (story walking team) they were very responsive to all of our questions and helped us with trip details like restaurants and side excursions. This kind of service really differentiate kim kim from other travel firms we have used. Our driver for most of the trip was Ezio. Very kind and responsive. We learned how to bridge the language barrier eventually. Our one snafu was handled very well with reimbursement for the expense we incurred... Read more

This was a fabulous trip. Smooth with no issues the entire time. The Kimkim team were amazing to work with and very communicative. They worked with me to make sure we was were to see everything we wanted, in the time and budget we gave them to work with. Seamless transition from one location to the other with no issues. I would absolutely use Kimkim again, in fact, we are looking to go to Thailand in 2027 and have started working on an itinerary with them currently.

Our 30-day trip through northern Italy was virtually flawless. Our 30-day trip through northern Italy was virtually flawless. Our trip planning partner (Arianna) did a great job listening to our interests (wine, food, cooking, and natural areas/lakes/mountains) that we wanted to visit, and building an itinerary that met all of our expectations at a reasonable price. All transfers throughout our trip were on-time, and our drivers were courteous and professional. Our guides for each tour were top-notch and very friendly and personable, and while we may not recall their names, our most memorable tours were as follows (not necessarily in rank order): the truffle hunt; the cooking class on Lake Como and the cooking class in Florence; the back-roads/less touristy places tour in Venice, Murano glass factory, Ricchi Winery (near Lake Garda) with lunch in a vineyard, the tour of four of the five villages of Cinque Terre, the sunset food tour and tasting in Bologna, and the parmesan-reggiano and balsamic vinegar tours in Modena. Above all, our daily conversations (via WhatsApp) with Francesca were very helpful in keeping us on-track, and also very pleasant and enjoyable. It is very clear to us that Arianna and Francesca are passionately committed to doing everything they can to help each customer thoroughly enjoy their vacation.

I really want to give a 5 star review and would have preferred the choice of 4.5 or 4.75 stars because although we had a rather upsetting start - the issue was addressed without so much of a heartbeat and we ended up being very pleased with the service we received. We had two problems in the actual trip - one at the beginning and one at the end. We are in our mid-70’s and requested that there be no hotels without luggage service because it was difficult for us to handle. We had arranged for private transfers and drivers to help with that problem. There was a issue with the initial transfer from the train station but after they were made aware of our stated expectations the CEO stepped in and took care of the problem.

The second issue they are likely not aware of because it happened the last night of our trip. The hotel they booked us in at Lake Como (Alberto Terminus) had live “music” the night before we flew out of Milan. It went on until 11:30pm and it was directly below our room . The hotel was extremely rude when we attempted to address the issue with them. There was nothing they were willing to do to make our last night comfortable. They even told us that there was no management on site to address our complaint that we were never told that they have live music EVERY Thursday and Sunday night. We would have chosen another hotel. I’m doubtful that Story Walking Tours knows of this - but hopefully they will address it going forward. I don’t blame them for it - and I only mention it so that they can take it into consideration when booking other guests. All in all - we are grateful for our experience with StoryWalking and are thinking of using them for our next vacation if they work the area.

The atmosphere was wonderful but what they forgot to mention was that they have LIVE MUSIC EVERY THURSDAY AND SUNDAY EVENINGS, DIRECTLY BELOW OUR ROOM. The room we booked was one of their best rooms until you find out that if you need to get rest on a Thursday or Sunday night - it will be almost midnight before that occurs. The staff was rude, not at all concerned with our comfort and totally unwilling to do anything about the inconvenience that we suffered. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. It really is a shame because the food at their restaurant was exceptional and the atmosphere was great - the bed was rock hard and the “music” unbearable! The staff at night should be fired.

We absolutely LOVED EVERYTHING about this hotel. The room was fantastic, the reception when we arrived made us feel very special and the staff could not have been more attentive. I must say that you haven’t had breakfast until you’ve eaten at La Touretta! This is a true Boutique Hotel and we loved every minute we were there. So quaint and beautiful with an exceptional staff. We could not have been more happy!

Venice was beautiful and a wonderful experience. Very romantic. Our guide, Sara, was great. Very friendly, good personality and an informative guide. Roberta and Alexandra were also great guides. We really enjoyed Murano and our private tour of the glass factory. Then we went to Burrano where we enjoyed the colorful houses and their reflections on the water. Cinque Terre was marvelous. Our hotel, La Torretta, was beautiful and the staff was exceptional. The views were outstanding. The breakfasts were amazing. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Our guide, Sandra, was friendly, helpful and she gave us a lot of history and information. She was also exceptional!
Rome was beautiful. Wish we could have spent a few more days here so that we didn't have to pack a lot into 2 full days.
The one thing I would change is the train rides. I would of preferred to ride in first class.

Parlamento Boutique Hotel is in a good location. It was a little difficult to find the entrance but we found our way. The walls of the hotel are a little thin. We could hear water running between the walls. We figured someone had showered and the water was running down the pipes. The room was roomy and very clean. They even had a small refrigerator in the room which was really nice. They serve breakfast every day but we did not eat at the hotelt because one day our tour started early & there was a strike happening that day so we had to leave early. And the other day we wanted to get to the Trevi Fountain early. Andreo, worked the front desk for like 2 days straight, was a wonderful person. If we needed anything he took care of it!! He can help you find a restaurant, convenience store, liquor store. Anything you need. Very nice and happy to help the guests staying at the Parlamento. I don't know how much they charged for the room because our travel agent booked our rooms, train tickets & tours. I should ask for an itemized bill LOL.

This is a very unique hotel. The room we had was small but it had a queen sized bed and the room had everything we needed. One is not going to spend that much time in your hotel room. The patio where they serve a delicious breakfast and has a beautiful view of the ocean was incredible. They offer several choices for breakfast, coffee and Prosecco. The patio is a lovely place to enjoy your happy hour. They also have a hot tub for the use for guests. You will enjoy this after all the walking you will do. Our tour guide Mario made this whole experience for us. So knowledgeable and passionate about his work. When my parents visit, i would love for him to be their guide as well. Even when Arianna went on leave she made sure someone else was responding - she kept me updated at all times. Train ticket booking were done and what impressed me most were the details - eg: the train seats were facing in the right direction of the travel. Th accommodation in Mila was ok- would have preferred something a bit more central, but for the budget it was fine. We had to take a lot of cabs from the hotel to places we wanted to see. My husbands health condition we could not take public transportation. One thing you may wish to look into is the walking tour - , it felt much longer and everyone on the tour felt we needed more breaks. It was very long and tiring. The guide was average . Other than that the recommendations were handy to have and helped decide what we should do/ eat etc.. all in all it was an amazing experience. A big thankyou to Arianna and your entire team. I am sure to use your services again when possible.
