My name is Sonia and I am your Travel Designer from Your Custom Journey based in Venice, a luxury brand dealing directly with high-end individual travelers.

I was born in Treviso, in the mainland of Venice and I am in love with my country. I am graduated in 'Foreign Languages and Tourism' at Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
My passion is simply traveling: I spent 2 years in Australia, 1 in New Zealand, 3 months South America, 3 months is South East Asia, 1 month New York and visited many times Spain, Germany, France and the rest of Europe and I deeply and personally know Italy and its wonders.

What I can plan for my clients is a combo of tailor-made tours, luxury services, and unique experiences always accompanied by local and typical tastes of Italy.
The passion I have for my job is my strength.

"After graduation, I travelled for a bit around the world and once I came home, I started working for a well-known luxury tour operator in Venice. In those years, I enriched my knowledge customizing trips for US and Australian high-end travelers.
Today, I am specialized in tailor-made luxury trips, honeymoons and holidays for young travelers."

This is our third experience with KimKim planning an adventure for us. It was just spectacular. Our original concept was seeing the Olympics, which was an adventure unto itself.

Planning began months ago. But it’s hard to understand everything in advance. Our contacts in Italy, Sonia and Lucrezia, worked around the events we had purchased tickets for perfectly. They were also very patient with our silly questions.

It always starts for us with hotel selection, and once again they were stellar. The location of our Milan hotel was perfect, a very short walk to the Duomo and Central hub for transportation. They introduced us to Larissa our private guide for visiting the last supper and other amazing sites around Milan. We are amazed at our local advisors ability to again identify private guides that speak excellent English and are able to give us the special flavor of the city where they live. The guides themselves become an additional set of advisors for us during our stays.

In Verona, the hotel was not only perfect, but it had a history. Our guide in that city was CECILIA. Amazing, lovely, information packed, and personal. We totally see the value of private guides and all recommendations from Kim Kim have been perfect perfect.

Off to Lake Como and another amazing location with a room facing the lake. We enjoyed our calm time there and our boat guide taking us around the lake, pointing out villas and their histories, and a lovely walk around Bellagio. We also met Max for a bike tour that took us up into the mountains around Lake Como. We were on E bikes, while our guide was on a regular road bike. Pretty impressive thing. He also gave us restaurant recommendations locally of his favorite places, and they were delicious.

Cannot forget the car rental. Seems like a simple effort. We like driving in a nice car when we are in another country. Kim Kim saw to it that our selected vehicle perfectly met our standard again and also met the anecdotal requirement of not being too large. If you’ve ever gone to an Italian parking lot, you will know what I am talking about!

Finally, our local concierge Roberta picked us up at the airport and was available to us all throughout our stay. She checked in regularly and in advance for pre-scheduled activities. Always providing Detail on pick up or meet up location, the name of our guide and the expectation. It was in retrospect, very comforting.

I know that in 2026 people fancy using social media to identify ways to visit foreign cities and find unique experiences. From our perspective, Kim Kim is a very unique one stop shop. They anticipate the details and make our experiences into adventures. We are not the type of people who want to travel on a bus or with a group. We are looking to plan our next adventure to bring our children and their mates so they can experience what we have.

Trip of a lifetime.

We talk about how we are afraid we peaked to early in life because every future trip may not be as good.

Our VERY favorite parts of the trip were 1) the private golf cart tour in Rome with Emanuele!! He was the GREATEST guide we have ever had, and our tour was very special, intimate and provided great access to Rome in a way we never would have had on our own, and by foot, and 2) the private sunset boat cruise from Sorrento to Capri was a memory we will NEVER forget! On our planning phone call, Sonia really listened to what we desired to do on our trip as well as how we like to travel. Our accommodations and tours were great. All of our transfers and the gentlemen who drove us were fantastic. They definitely made getting from point A to B easier and we saw many different cities.
As for our tours , I was impressed with Livtours and their product. Everyone from, Lara in Milan , Sara N. And Linda in Rome and Andy in Tivoli were awesome guides. All of them are so knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. The Rome in Sidecar Vespa tour was also so much fun. Claudio and his team were awesome!

Breakfast was the best of all hotels and all were terrific. Room was comfortable and in the center of the city. Beautiful views from the rooftop breakfast level.

We had the most amazing trip to Italy! Sonia was such a gift in the planning process. She tailored the trip to our preferences and we felt like we experienced so much of the wonderful Italian culture and sites in 12 days!

Sonia was very responsive and set us up with amazing tour guides (Samantha at the Vatican, Ricardo on the golf cart tour and Gabriel in Tuscany) who brought the regions to life for us. Whenever we had questions, before or during the trip, Sonia and her team were quick to respond and problem-solve. We plan to use Kim Kim again in the future for our travel plans!

The views at this hotel were absolutely breathtaking! The staff was so warm and hospitable! They went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The lobby, rooms and breakfast were all wonderful and we hope to visit again if we are ever in Sorrento in the future!

Kimkim meshed their two week portion of our trip to Venice, Florence and Rome with our four existing Airbnb reservations and our 8-day Vermont Biking Tour in the Alpine Valleys of Slovenia, Austria, and Italy that ended in Salzburg .

Most useful was Kimkim problem solving when the unexpected occurred and when we needed to alter our schedule due to unforeseen events.

We were able to maximize our vacation and reduce stress as Kimkim provided daily communication and support.

Just returned from the Most Amazing Trip across Italy!

Sonia, John and I want to Thank You for putting such an Amazing trip together for us! Your communication and responsiveness are Outstanding! We are totally exhausted but are both smiling from the inside out! Barbara, our boots on the ground concierge, was fabulous! Each hotel was perfectly located and each had something special to offer! The drivers were punctual and courteous. And the tours, and their guides were Amazing! Our guide in Radda in Chianti, Francesco, was awesome! He rolled with the punches and made our day! It was great that he was also our traveling companions driver for their wine tour the following day. Also, it was great having the same driver for almost all events in Sorrento! Luigi helped make our entire visit to the area very special! We want you to know that the day we spent at the lemon farm/pizza making place was so worth it! The family run business, the people and the cheese! Bellissimo!
And, although I really had no desire to visit Rome, John did, and so it was…. For this I am grateful! What a spectacular place! Our city guide, Marina, was lovely! She has a true passion for her city! And our colosseum guide, Dennis, was equally as passionate for the history he shared with us! He actually made the gruesomeness of the history kind of fun! If thats possible 🙃… We highly recommend them both!
