Tammy Lindsey

I am a Travel Advisor for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands. Every clients is unique, so I want to get to know them in detail to create their perfect itinerary! Listening to small details, and weaving those throughout their trip, can make a good vacation become a magical one! I want to paint them a masterpiece, after gathering all the puzzle pieces. It's a rewarding feeling knowing you have designed something that will be a trip of a lifetime for them!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"In Australia, I would say I specialize in Kangaroo Island for spotting animals in the wild. Cairns, and the islands, for The Great Barrier Reef,; however, maybe enjoy an overnight on the Reef vs. just a day trip. Self driving trips to Tasmania, Western Australia and Darwin/Kakadu to enjoy natural wonders, white sand beaches, authentic Aboriginal Culture, and true blue Aussies.

For New Zealand, I love the Fiord region and have clients often overnight on one of the silent sounds. Driving up the West Coast to Franz Josef to venture where local Kiwi's holiday, Helicopter hiking on a glacier, kayaking, and rail travel. In Queenstown jet boating, biking, sheep shearing, and Alpine scenery are breath taking! I could always spend more time in Queenstown! "

How did you get involved in travel?

"At my High School there was a career day featuring a local Travel Agent who offered a travel school. I knew right then, THAT was what I wanted to do! Since then, I have focused solely on the South Pacific for the last 25 years. The experiences are so vast that I decided being a true expert in this region, would help me create a niche market. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"There are truly so many, but I will have to say swimming with Whale Sharks off the West Coast of Australia at Ningaloo Reef exceeded all expectations! To watch this massive, gentle giant, emerge out of the deep blue sea is something I'll never forget! I am a diver and strong swimmer, so I was allowed to swim around their tail, and try to keep up as long as I could! It wasn't as long as I had hoped for as they gently glide, but each swish of their tail sends them forward at a mind boggling speed! The camera man joined me for a short bit, capturing some incredible images. "

Hotel Reviews
Hyatt Regency Brisbane
Brisbane

Great location, excellent service, clean rooms, comfy beds, beautiful views, great breakfast, stunning pool. Loved it all!

Authenticity & Character
One of our drivers told us it was the location the Beatles stayed in when they came to Australia in the 60’s. It’s certainly been renovated/rebuilt since then and is a modern building with all the conveniencesone would ever need.
Location
Views of the river, gorgeous bridges, and the Ferris wheel. Easy walking to all kinds of fun stuff. I the heart of the shopping district.

Tangalooma Island Resort
Moreton Island

This is a sprawling complex, probably the only place to stay on this section of the island. Rooms are a little worn but the location is stunning. They did a nice job with limited, kid-friendly food. The activities available there are plentiful and all our guides were wonderful. The dolphin feeding is very well run and such a unique experience. We loved our stay there - didn’t want to leave.

Mandalay Luxury Beachfront Apartments
Port Douglas

We were here for 5 nights, visiting the Great Barrier Reef and tours of the Daintree. It was an amazing time and nice to be in an apartment with the many amenities provided - washer/dryer, full and well stocked kitchen, a short walk to 4 Mile Beach, a bit longer walk to downtown Port Douglas, a private patio, 2 pools, housekeeping service. This would be a great place for a large family reunion. The only difficulty was the stair flights up to our 3rd floor place with heavy luggage, no elevators. Also , we arrived in the evening and there was no one on duty. We were left our key cards and very detailed directions to our room (and an upgrade), which was fine, just not what I expected. Staff during the day were very helpful and housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. I hope to go back!
