Ruth was great answering our questions about the trip and helped us prepare well for the trip.
Your company did a great job planning the trip and we were generally pleased with the accommodations and travel arrangements. However, our accommodation in Sydney was not as good as the rest of the trip.Also, no travel arrangements were made from the hotel to our activities while in Sydney, either. It could have been better if our hotel had a better location or close to Sydney harbor. Read more

I am so glad you enjoyed your trip. Its wonderful to get this feedback! I'm afraid we don't have a lot of apartment choices in this level of accommodations or I would have presented you with more options to choose between. Attractions such as the Bridgeclimb in Sydney do not include transfers as they are not tours and of course are right in the heart of the city. It's great to see you all in the photos! Paula with KimKim set us up with an amazing trip in New Zealand. She recommended the Rees Hotel which was a fantastic spot. We were a bit out of town, but they have a shuttle running all the time and the location on the lake was gorgeous. Having our own apartment was great and even better was the laundry set up in our apartment which helped a lot for our long trip. All our excursions were fantastic. I can’t even pick a favorite. I highly recommend the half day bike trip for Arrowtown, the Milford Sound excursion, the one day Routeburn Track hike (13 miles so long but totally worth it!), and the jet boats out on the Dart River. Angelo was our guide on the hike and he was so entertaining and informative. All of it was amazing and I would happily do it all over again. One last thing - we were supposed to take a flight back from Milford Sound and that got canceled due to wind. It ends up being a LONG day with a lot of time on a bus when you have to take it back, and yet I would still do it. The sound is gorgeous. Thanks Paula!

It’s wonderful to hear that all of your excursions were such a success. The Arrowtown bike ride, Routeburn Track hike, Milford Sound, and the Dart River jet boats are some of the most memorable experiences in that region, so I’m glad they all lived up to expectations. I also love hearing that Angelo made the hike even more special — guides like that really elevate the whole experience.

Milford Sound can definitely turn into a long day if the return flight is canceled due to weather, but I completely agree with you — the scenery there is so spectacular that it’s still worth it. I will be there next week! :)

We followed her advice in most cases, and she offered various options for us to consider by way of guided tours, etc., as electives beyond the basis itinerary. We selected some of those to be included. The entire trip from arrival to departure including hotels, car rental and ferry booking was organized and communicated really well. All worked out perfectly. It turned out that a medical emergency intruded in the final week of our trip and the local agents were wonderfully supportive to manage and adjust the itinerary and give a sense of local expertise in the local time zone. My wife and I cannot speak more highly of our experience and plan to use kim kim again in our future travel plans.

Iain and Liz were wonderful to work with. They had been planning and looking forward to visiting New Zealand for some time so I was delighted to assist them in designing the trip they always wanted. Paula planned our entire trip, and we followed her itinerary to the letter. We told her we wanted to hit the highlights of Australia and New Zealand, and she planned an three-week plan that met all our needs. Plus, she’s from Australia, so she knows what she’s talking about! We had a wonderful time and never had to worry about the details. All our drivers were fantastic, and all our guides were knowledgeable and interesting.

Downstairs was nicely decorated. Staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. Lift broken. Breakfast served” down the street”. Broken wooden blinds in room that were very dusty. No usb connections so that hearing aids and phones could be charged. Very old tv that had to be rebooted. We left. Too boutique for us.
