As a dedicated travel specialist for Botswana, Victoria Falls, and Mozambique, my approach centers on crafting unforgettable journeys that connect travelers with the heart of Southern Africa. I bring a deep knowledge of these regions, curating experiences that showcase their stunning landscapes, rich wildlife, and vibrant cultures. My role is to listen to each traveller’s unique desires and create bespoke itineraries that blend adventure, luxury, and authenticity. Whether it's an intimate safari in Botswana, a thrilling visit to Victoria Falls, or a serene escape to the beaches of Mozambique, I ensure every detail is meticulously planned for a seamless and enriching experience.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in crafting personalized travel experiences that highlight the best of Botswana, Victoria Falls, and Mozambique. Here’s what I focus on in each destination:

Botswana:
Safari Adventures: I specialize in safaris across Botswana’s top wildlife areas, including Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai Concession, Linyanti Concession, Savuti Concession, the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, the Panhandle, and the Kalahari Desert. From guided game drives to mokoro (canoe) trips, visiting Tsodilo Hills, Bushmen encounters; I ensure travellers have an authentic and immersive wildlife experience.

Luxury Lodges & Camps: Partnering with some of the most exclusive lodges and tented camps, I offer luxurious stays that combine comfort with stunning views and close proximity to wildlife.

Cultural Experiences: I also arrange visits to local communities, where travellers can learn about the traditional lifestyles of the San people and other indigenous groups.

Victoria Falls:
Victoria Falls Exploration: I specialize in guided tours of Victoria Falls, offering insights into its history, geology, and local legends. Visitors can experience the falls from different angles, including walking tours, helicopter flights, or even microlight flights.
Adventure Activities: For thrill-seekers, I arrange activities like white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, and zip-lining across the gorge.
Sunset Cruises & Wildlife Viewing: I offer sunset cruises on the Zambezi River, where travellers can relax while spotting hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the riverbanks.
Lodging: Partnering with some of the lodges and guest houses, I offer stays that combine comfort with stunning views and close proximity to the falls.

Mozambique:
Beach Escapes: I specialize in beach holidays on Mozambique’s stunning coastlines, particularly in the Bazaruto Archipelago and Ponta D'Ouro. These locations are perfect for relaxation, water sports, and exploring pristine beaches.

Diving & Snorkeling: Mozambique is a diver’s paradise, and I organize diving and snorkeling trips to explore vibrant coral reefs, marine life, and even encounters with whale sharks and manta rays.

Lodges & Resorts: Partnering with some of the most exclusive lodges and resorts, I offer luxurious stays that combine comfort with stunning views of the ocean.

Cultural and Historical Tours: I arrange visits to historical sites such as the Island of Mozambique, as well as cultural tours that offer a glimpse into the country’s rich heritage, music, and cuisine.

By focusing on these experiences, I aim to provide travellers with unforgettable adventures that showcase the unique beauty and culture of each destination."

How did you get involved in travel?

"My journey into the travel industry began in 2006 as a Travel Logistics Officer for Accenture Botswana, where I managed bookings for accommodation, flights, and vehicles for the team. This role ignited my passion for travel, leading me to work with Kwando Safaris, Belmond Safaris, Sense of Africa Botswana, and Safari Destinations. As my interest in the industry deepened, I partnered with Esther from The Eco Travel Boutique, who introduced me to Kim Kim, further expanding my expertise and network in the travel world."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One of my most unforgettable travel experiences was a trip to Durban in 2015, where I celebrated my birthday with friends. What started as a short getaway turned into an extended adventure as we decided to continue our journey to Ponta D'Ouro, Mozambique, and spent seven more days soaking in the beauty of the coast. Another remarkable experience was my first safari in Botswana, where we stumbled upon a pride of lions right after they had killed two kudus—it was an awe-inspiring moment that I’ll never forget. Visiting Victoria Falls was also an incredible experience, witnessing the sheer power and beauty of the falls left a lasting impression on me. Each time I meet new people, I always encourage them to visit these places; they hold a special place in my heart and unforgettable memories."

Nadine - Our greeter at Kariega was very helpful and made us feel at home.
Osmond - Our ranger at the Kariega reserve, he was very personable, funny and extremely knowledgeable. We were excited and did 4 game rides with him.
The staff at Kariega was great as well and gave us a evening campfire barbecue meal which was tasty.
In Oceana, Max and Zed were great and helpful in answering all of our questions. They helped us arrange a short visit to Bathurst to see The Pineapple museum and Pig n Whistle bar. Luke was very knowledgeable and friendly.
FInally, our Soweto Tuk-Tuk tour guide Tami was kind-hearted and energetic and gave us a final tour of Soweto and took us to Mandela House.
All in all , it was a great first experience to South Africa - and has inspired us to consider future visits!

Dear Teju,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review — it truly means a lot!

I'm so glad to hear that you had a wonderful first experience in South Africa. It was such a pleasure assisting you with your trip, and I'm thrilled that everything from the accommodations to the activities lived up to your expectations.

It’s heartwarming to know that Nokuthula, Nadine, Osmond, Max, Zed, Luke, and Tami all played such memorable roles in making your journey special. South Africa is truly brought to life through its warm, passionate people, and I’m so happy you got to connect with some of the very best.

Osmond sounds like he really brought the Kariega experience to life — four game drives with him must have been incredible! And I’m so glad the team at Oceana helped make your Bathurst visit happen — the Pineapple Museum and Pig & Whistle are such gems.

Your kind words are not only appreciated by me, but will certainly be shared with all the local partners you mentioned. They’ll be delighted to hear the impact they made.

Thank you again for choosing to travel with us — and I absolutely love that this visit has inspired you to consider future trips. South Africa (and maybe beyond!) is ready to welcome you back anytime.

Warmest regards,
Tshepo
