Winnie Wu
I am Winnie, with over 10 years of experience in the travel industry, I specialize in crafting personalized journeys across East Asia, especially to Japan, Korea, and China. Each of these countries offers its own unique charm—Japan’s blend of tradition and innovation, Korea’s vibrant culture and delicious cuisine, and China’s rich history and stunning landscapes. To me, travel is not just about visiting new places—it’s about connection, discovery, and inspiration. My goal is to ensure that every journey I plan leaves a lasting impression on each traveler—one that inspires you and perhaps even encourages you to share your own stories with others.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"In Japan, I specialize in crafting experiences that go beyond temples, shrines, and museums—blending the country’s rich history with its vibrant modern culture. From exploring cutting-edge fashion districts and pop culture hotspots to indulging in unforgettable culinary adventures, there's something for every type of traveler. I often arrange scenic boat rides in Hakone with stunning views of Mt. Fuji, relaxing stays at traditional ryokans with onsen (hot springs), and cultural experiences like kimono-wearing and tea ceremonies. For those who love the road less traveled, I also recommend cycling through quiet, hidden paths that offer a truly unique way to connect with Japan’s natural beauty and local charm."
How did you get involved in travel?
"My passion for exploring the world was sparked back in college. My roommate used to travel often and would share incredible stories about different cultures, people, and histories. I was deeply inspired by how eye-opening and meaningful her experiences were—it made me realize just how amazing travel can be. Since then, I’ve been determined to see the world for myself, with destinations like Japan, Korea, and China holding a special place in my heart. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I once visited Nara, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. I tasted a delicious bowl of tempura and clam soup that warmed both my heart and stomach. As I strolled along the peaceful paths in Nara Park and gently patted the friendly deer, I felt a sense of pure joy. Visiting Kasuga Taisha Shrine was like stepping into a scene from an anime—serene, dreamlike, and filled with a magical atmosphere that made the whole day feel surreal."
