A week is more than enough time to traverse the width and breadth of the European paradise called Croatia. For an active, outdoor adventure you can combine hiking/sailing excursions to Adriatic islands, like Hvar and the Pakleni Archipelago, as well as the historic city of Dubrovnik, which has Venetian, Greek, and Roman influences. You could also embark down the famed Dalmatian Coast, stopping at highlights like Korčula, an island first settled in the 4th century and which was once home to Marco Polo. Maybe even plan a bike tour beginning in the Konavle region, home to orchards, vineyards, and postcard mountain villages.

This is hard to judge. Our tour guide Isabel was a last minute substitution. She did a great job on the fly. The food was not what we expected after the tour in Dunbronik. Some of the restaurants did not seemed ready for us.

Matt was probably our best tour guide. What I appreciated from him was one of our travelers had some physical limitations and he worked with him on the tour. Very knowledgeable guide. Brought us to a great local restaurant for lunch. He was just super.

We covered a lot of territory in 11 days but the way that Sarah planned made it seem like we experienced lots of things without being rushed. Thank you so much. Highlights were walking the wall of the old city of Dubrovnik, bike tour of Korčula, island tour of Hvar, Plitvice (so worth stopping there/ do 5 mile hike to upper falls!), Ljubljana walking tour and trip to Lake Bled. Loved it all!
