While this hotel suited our needs, it had a few quirks. The staircase up three flights was very dark, and the shared room for our family of five, though spacious, had only one bathroom. Breakfast was limited and started later than we would have liked. That said, the location was excellent, and it served as a convenient base for exploring the area.

Initially, we weren’t sure about this location, but it turned out to be a great choice. It was within walking distance to both the Vatican and Trastevere, which made exploring very easy. The room was the largest of our trip, with a master bedroom and ensuite, two additional bedrooms and a bathroom for the kids, plus a small kitchen. We especially appreciated the large fridge and freezer for storing snacks and drinks. Breakfast on the 7th floor had a huge variety of options, and everyone in the family found something they liked. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and a good fit for our family of five.

This was the most memorable hotel of our trip, largely thanks to the incredible breakfast buffet overlooking the Amalfi Coast—it was absolutely stunning. The breakfast itself was extraordinary, featuring some of the best pastries we had during our stay in Italy. The room was simple but comfortable: two rooms, each with a queen-size bed, and one shared bathroom. Both rooms opened onto a beautiful terrace with breathtaking views of the coast. On our final night, we even had a front-row seat to a fireworks display from our terrace—an unforgettable experience. We especially want to thank the breakfast and dinner staff, who made us feel so welcome during our 4-day stay. Their warmth and hospitality truly stood out. A special shout-out to our favourite server, who not only provided excellent service but also shared great local tips—including recommending his favourite cake, Peccato di Gola, from Sal De Riso in Minori. It was absolutely worth the trip!

We took a cooking class with Alessandro today—my husband and I plus our three kids (16, 13, and 11)—and it was an absolute hit! We were joined by one other guest and spent three wonderful hours learning and cooking together in a calm, air-conditioned space (a perfect escape from the heat wave!). Alessandro was welcoming, knowledgeable, and great with both adults and kids. We made cacio e pepe, amatriciana, and homemade gelato (coffee and Nutella was the crowd favourite). Highly recommend this experience—fun, delicious, and memorable. Fingers crossed our cacio e pepe and gelato turn out just as good at home!

Thank you for sharing your love of Pompeii with our family today. We absolutely loved learning about the city, and even in the scorching heat 🥵, it was incredible to explore a small part of such a well-preserved and fascinating place.

I would have given them a five had the breakfast been better. The hotel had loads of character and was very well located to all the sites and great restaurants. I loved that you could get away from the crowds here. I would stay again or recommend to friends.

This hotel definitely had a wow factor! Our room was delightful, staff were top notch and I can’t say enough about the food. We loved it here and would definitely return or recommend to our friends.

Sorry this was definitely the only bad accommodations of this trip and perhaps one of the worst rooms I’ve had. We were in what was called “The Love” room, if you’re staying at this hotel be sure NOT to get it. Our window that had a lovely view of a canal taped to it looked out to plumbing pipes and an elevator shaft. While some of the staff were lovely some were on the other extreme and bordered rude. We may have given a better review if the breakfast was good and the bed comfortable.

We loved this hotel, our room was small but very clean, breakfast was outstanding, staff friendly and the location was fantastic!

After all the other great tours we went on it made this one look bad. The staff told us little about the wines or food and they didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. The establishment was very interesting but a little to commercial for our tastes

Our guide was insanely knowledgeable about local history, art, shopping and food. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience

This was the truly best thing about Venice. Experiencing Venice through a locals eyes should not be missed.

This small group tour was outstanding. The guide made the tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient about not only the food but the local area. Highly recommend this tour. Sadly much of the food was friend but still enjoyable.

Yet another Wow moment, hands down my husband’s favourite tours in Italy. Our guide knew so much history of Sienna and was very passionate about it. She knew her way around the side streets. This tour is well worth the money

Huge room, charming place, good service. The piazza and balconies offered ways to be outside if the mood struck. I recommend the place.

The room was on the small side, but I didn't spend any time in there, so no problem. Service was great, breakfast buffet was very good.

This activity was so-so. Could be a one night thing, but the soloist was not into performing.

Guide was knowledgeable. Peace altar was the most memorable part of the tour. Overall, very good experience.

The guide was good, but she was hard to keep up with. I felt like she could have stopped to count us more often. Also, a small thing, but her stick was hard to follow--instead of a flag or scarf, she just had a tiny stuffed animal on the end of it and it was hard to see in the crowd.

This is an activity not to be missed. Elisabetta shared produce and olive oil directly from her farm so we could make a delicious, authentic meal. Also, the setting for this class is gorgeous.

Ivan was an exceptionally good guide. He modified where we went based on our interests and answered a whole slew of questions.

Guide Santos was wonderful. He was a truly knowledgeable guide. Delightful way to see all and perfect amount of walking for everyone. Golf cart made everyone so happy!

This experience was as described. Again staff and location and performers were excellent. If you want to experience a bit of the magic of opera and how wonderful the human voice can sound in one of the best locations on our planet for sophisticated pleasure DO THIS EXPERIENCE.
