We had a wonderful time in Sicily. Our driver was great always making sure we got where we needed to be. The guides where excellent. The guide for Valley of the Temples was a forensic archeologist who had actually worked on the site at one time. He was truley informative. The chef for our cooking lesson was wonderful learning about shopping the market and techniques for preparing the seafood selected. We just had a fantastic vacation. Read more

Wonderful. We had a fantastic experience at the vineyard. The wines were grest and the sommelier was very knowledgeable about the vineyard and wines. The food served was fresh, delicious and complemented the wines.

All of our guides were excellent except Naples where it was actually too crowded to walk anywhere. All drivers were excellent. All very polite and good drivers.
The trip flow was excellent. The boat tours in Capri and Oretega were very enjoyable. We had some issues with hotel in Rome. When we arrived the air conditioning did not work, the room was very small, noisy etc. Much better on return . Hotels were good elsewhere.

We had some issues with hotel in Rome. When we arrived the air conditioning did not work, the room was very small, noisy etc. Much better on return . Hotels were good elsewhere.
The hotel in Tamorina was interesting. I needed to pay for an upgrade which saved the day. The assigned room was tiny with poor view. The new room was excellent. In its day this hotel was probably on par with the Four Seasons. Now it is full of plastic flowers, even in our room. The hotel is very clean - good . The only poor meal we had in Italy was in the hotel's dinning room -un-edible. This hotel seems to be catering to the American bus tours now. Restaurants outside the hotel were wonderful.

Our 12 day trip planned by kimkim was amazing.!Our first stop was Venice where Marina our guide did an exceptional overview of explaining the history and uniqueness of Venice. We also took a gondola ride which was wonderfully relaxing. Vincenzo suggested a boat trip to Murano and Burano which added to the magic of Venice. Traveling by train , our next stop was Tuscany. Our 12 day trip planned by kimkim was amazing.!Our first stop was Venice where Marina our guide did an exceptional overview of explaining the history and uniqueness of Venice. We also took a gondola ride which was wonderfully relaxing. Vincenzo suggested a boat trip to Murano and Burano which added to the magic of Venice. Traveling by train , our next stop was Tuscany. Our driver picked us up promptly at the station and provided us with a lovely overview of the area. We arrived in Castle di Fonterutoli. It was the perfect Tuscany retreat. The serene and beautiful countryside was everything we hoped it to be. Vincenzo set up a luncheon and wine tour which was delicious and informational. We had great food and the wine tasting was fabulous! While in Tuscany , we rented a car and travelled to quaint little towns and Sienna . Next stop, Pompeii. We took a train from Florence and our driver picked us up in Naples. He was great!! He waited for us while we toured Pompeii with Paola Vitiello. She was so informative; we learned so much about Pompeii. Our driver then took us the long way along the Almafi Coast to get to our next stop which was Almafi. It was breathtaking. He stopped whenever we wanted to take pictures. We arrived in Almafi and enjoyed a day cruise to Capri which was a blast! We explored Anacapri and took the chair lift to the top. Amazing views! We also hiked The Valle delle Ferriere . We took a bus to Scalia and hiked down; wear really good shoes and be sure you are in good shape because it is a long trek. Our last stop was Rome. Great food, tours, activities and lots of people. We had a Trastevere Food Tour with Vittoria. She was such a pleasure to be with. We tried lots of food and had a beautiful dinner at her establishment. The Colosseum and Roma Tour were really enjoyable. Our last night, we enjoyed a premium wine tasting and dinner experience . It was the perfect way to end our trip. The hotels Vincenzo suggested were perfect. All in all, the trip was something we will never forget. We will certainly use kimkim for our future trips.

Alessia was wonderful, responsive, personable, and did a terrific job planning the trip and staying in touch. Andrea, our driver in Sicily, was also terrific. I would say that Eva, our guide in Siracusa, would be a better guide for a family without children. She just didn’t seem to really know how to capture our 12-year-old’s interest or engage with her. In fact, she more or less addressed only me on our tour and didn’t interact with my husband very much either. She had some interesting information to share, but her delivery was very dry and just not particularly captivating.

We were greeted with a sign and taken to our hotel, which exceeded all expectations, the staff that greeted us were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very spacious, clean and beautiful. This was just the very start and it just kept getting better. Eleonora, had listened to everything that we had wanted to do, even when we wanted to add something at the last moment, she was able to facilitate it. I also appreciated how easy it was to contact her and how quickly she responded. It was brilliant not having to worry about planning anything and having it all organised.

The entrance does not do this hotel justice, especially with the roadworks that are happening just outside. Hotel II Guelfo Bianco is a true gem! The staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful, everyone spoke English (which was useful as my Italian is almost non-existent). The rooms were beautiful and spacious, there was everything that you could possibly want in the room. The hotel is also in an amazing location and we were able to walk everywhere, from great restaurants, the Cathedral, other incredible historic sites and to all of the meeting points for our activities. I look forward to returning.

Alessia did an amazing job from the beginning. She had incredible insights into our planning of our trip to Italy, as well as executing everything she set up for us. All of our transportation, logistics, lodging, entertainment, and lining up all our museum/Duomo tickets was absolutely key in relieving our stress. Alessia was also available to us during our time in Italy when needed.
We have many highlights, but specifically our time in Venice was special because of our city tour with Monica who gave us incredible history of the city and of Antonio Vivaldi, which is what we asked for. The other highlight was the Vivaldi concert Alessia got us tickets to. Truly an amazing and memorable evening. Our hotel, Casa Verardo was wonderful and staff extremely caring.
Our time in the Chianti countryside was magical. Staying at Fonterutoli was perfect. The Osteria Fonterutoli was outstanding and the Mazzei Winery was so fun!
Ended in Florence and so thankful that Alessia had set up the Uffizi, Duomo, and Academy tickets in advance. We bypassed all the crowds and lines, so it made visiting these incredible places enjoyable. When we go back to Italy, we will use Alessia and KimKim again!

Casa Verado was lovely. Cute boutique hotel that sits on a quiet canal, with comfortable rooms. Staff is incredibly kind and treated us well. Breakfast provided was lovely and had many choices. Would stay again.

It was spectacular from start to finish with meticulous planning and excellent recommendations. We particularly enjoyed our stay at Villa Tony in Corvara, which has a warm, friendly feel. I don’t know the Ladin word, but it is Gemütlichkeit in German. The dining room staff was wonderful and the food, amazing.
Experiencing the skiing, including the Sellaronda and the Hut food is something you can not find in the US. Well worth the trip. Although we only had 1 day in Venice, our guide... Read more

Villa Tony was everything and more we want on our Italian dolomites adventure. A beautiful slopeside chalet with spectacular views nestled in a small alpine village. The food was exceptional, and the staff of the hotel was welcoming and friendly. It will be hard to live up to this standard in our travels down the road. We are so grateful for the warmth and kindness of everyone at Villa Tony who made our trip so special.
