Tihar, or the Festival of Lights, is a five-day Hindu festival in the autumn that celebrates the intimate relationship between animals and people. It also worships Laxmi, the goddess of wealth, culminating in Laxmi Puja when rangoli patterns are made with colored powder and flowers. This trip will take you on a journey from Kathmandu to the old Malla kingdoms of Bhaktapur and Patan, and the lakeside city of Pokhara. Along the way, you will stay with local families to enjoy the full flavor of this magical festival.

Sir Edmund Hillary claimed that the view of the lower Everest region from Pikey Peak is the best in all of Nepal, and we're inclined to agree. This short trek has the advantage of being slightly farther away from the big peaks, meaning views from the trail encompass much more of the Himalaya. Enjoy the scenery, get acquainted with Sherpa culture, and explore Kathmandu in just 7 days.
You don't need extreme altitudes or serious mileage to trek in the Himalaya. Nepal also offers a variety of beginner treks with beautiful views and glimpses of the local culture, all taking a week or less to complete. Read on for the best beginner treks in Nepal.
Nepal is divided into three main geographical regions—the Himalaya in the north, the central hilly region, and the Terai (or jungle region) in the south. To help you decide where to go, we've broken these regions up into smaller, popular sub-regions which can be combined in numerous ways. There's an enormous amount of cultural diversity and natural beauty almost everywhere you turn, making it easy to find the perfect combination no matter how many days you have in Nepal.

We were really pleased with the service provided by Sangita! We decided to visit Nepal in a last minute fashion and did not have time to plan for our trip in details. We told Sangita our expectations and she put together a wonderful plan for us. It turns out to be exactly the experience we would like to have! It's an amazing 11 day in Nepal thanks to her. We highly recommend her service regardless of whether you have time to plan for your trip in details.

Trip to nepal, Nepal - Nov 11 - Nov 25, 2018
My bespoke trip to Nepal for 15 days in November 2018 was a brilliant experience.
My local agent, Sangita was informative and efficient in helping me to put an itinerary together within my budget and covering all the places I wanted to visit.
She met me in Kathmandu, introducing me to the guide I would have on my trek to Ghandruk village and was really considerate in checking in with me at every destination to ensure I was safe and happy and that I knew what was happening next. If something... read more

Great Vacation in Nepal. I spent twelve amazing days in Nepal. The main reason for my happy staying is the wonderful personalized itinerary prepared for me, by Sangita, a knowledgeable and perfectionist Local Tour Director. She asked me a few questions about my available time, my interests, preferences, priorities etc, and she designed for me the most amazing tour I ever had in twelve days. If you are planning to visit Nepal, ask Kimkim to assign you Sangita as your Local Tour Director, you are about to have a wonderful experience.

Sangita worked with me over the course of 2 weeks to help me plan my first visit to Nepal. She took all of my requests and suggestions into account, coming up with a fantastic itinerary. Unfortunately, I became ill with pneumonia shortly before my trip and ended up coming home early, having spent less time in Nepal than originally intended. However, I enjoyed the sightseeing that I was able to do, thanks to Sangita's extraordinary attention to detail and organization of every step of my... read more
