We are not your average tour company. Our goal is to provide meaningful experiences. We want to provide you with the best experience that you can possibly have while in Japan. We aim to help you dive deep into the culture and to see Japan from every angle. From its high-speed, futuristic cities to its relaxing and inviting villages, we promise a well-rounded itinerary that delivers a full experience of Japan and all it has to offer.

Other companies are often spread thin by trying to offer packages for multiple countries simultaneously, and only offering surface-level experiences without delving deep into culture. Kichi Japan is unique in that we specialize in tours for Japan, exclusively. In addition to that our tours are not built by people from outside of Japan, looking for new destinations to expand their business. Our tours are designed by a team of passionate people who live here and are familiar with its ins and outs. This intimate first-hand knowledge and experience about Japan is how we deliver our one-of-a-kind unforgettable experiences.

Had an extraordinary trip of a lifetime with my family. So much, that my kids want to go back and go places we were not able to visit. Initial and planning communication with Gibwa was outstanding. The places she chose to visit and transportation logistics were out of this world. Once in Japan, we did run into some minor incoviniences like for example misunderstandings about meeting points with a guide, but that's expected even in the most perfectly planned trip. Had an extraordinary trip of a lifetime with my family. So much, that my kids want to go back and go places we were not able to visit. Initial and planning communication with Gibwa was outstanding. The places she chose to visit and transportation logistics were out of this world. Once in Japan, we did run into some minor incoviniences like for example misunderstandings about meeting points with a guide, but that's expected even in the most perfectly planned trip. Those instances Alan came through in solving the issue via chat even making calls in behalf of us. Guides we used that we highly reccomend are Keiko and Hiroshi. Planning with Gibwa allowed us to choose some hotels by our own research and others recommended by them. One memorable one was the onsen at Hakone, very luxurious but worth the price for this once in a lifetime trip. The trip was a perfect combination of guided days and independent traveling, we felt we got the mos out of it. We can't thank Alan enough for imparting his recommendations and knowledge of Japan and tips for visitors

Our trip to Japan got postponed by three years due to COVID and Japan's borders being closed. Gibwa was flexible and amazing to work with throughout this waiting period! She took time to understand our needs and put together a fabulous itinerary. Her communication was always timely even while we were in Japan and contained the necessary details . This made it easy for us to explore on our own using the itinerary as a guide. My son and I had a trip of lifetime to Japan during the cherry blossom season, thanks to Gibwa.

Soleil was the creator of our unique Japan adventure, and she did a highly commendable job.  She gave generously of herself during the extensive planning phase, and throughout our entire 9 day Japan adventure to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka!   
Gibwa, from our Japan support team, greeted us at the airport and we traveled together by train to our hotel where we checked in and went over our trip package, containing various train cards, show and tour vouchers.  Soleil had left several very thoughtful gifts in our room for my daughter, based upon her interests in a particular Japanese culture.  What a very  thoughtful surprise this was! 
Our Japan support team checked in with us daily to ensure we felt supported if we had any questions or concerns.  Our trip was so well detailed, but also gave us huge flexibility to change up along the way if we wanted, which we loved!  
The cooking classes, food tours and other very unique tours and adventures which Soleil planned for us were highly enjoyable!  Some of our favorites were the Ramen and Gyozo cooking class by Chef Yumi, (who was incredible) the absolutely fabulous food tours by Arigato Japan, and the beautiful Hozugawa River Cruise!!!  
Soleil additionally ensured that everyone along the way celebrated my daughter's college graduation while we were with them! Thank you so much Soleil!  
I am extremely happy we chose KimKim to help us create and execute our highly unique and fabulous trip to Japan!  It was truly AMAZING!  A very heartfelt thank you to Soleil and the entire Japan support team, who spoke perfect English, by the way!

We had a fantastic 10 day trip throughout Japan! Alan, Gibwa, and Katherine were wonderful to work with. They were quick to respond and very thorough. They created a custom journey with many of the must-see highlights as well as some hidden treasures. Some highlights were our bike tour through Takayama with our guide Taka. We had a fantastic 10 day trip throughout Japan! Alan, Gibwa, and Katherine were wonderful to work with. They were quick to respond and very thorough. The festival float exhibition hall exceeded expectations and we'd love to go back and experience the exhibition. Our cooking class in Kyoto was a blast! We had a wonderful conversation and long walk through Nishiki Market, a surprise stop at a sake brewery followed by an informative and delightful class where we made sushi and miso soup. The Edo Wonderland was a bit underwhelming for us, but might be a great activity for a family. We would've been happy using that time to explore more of Tokyo. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we would highly recommend Kim Kim and Kichi Japan in the future. Gibwa and Katherine it was wonderful to meet you in person! Thank you for everything!
