Quinta San Blas by Ananay Hotels

This is a nice hotel if you're looking for absolutely no frills. We only stayed one night of three. The staff is nice, and place is clean, and the bed was comfy. But we had a lot of down time during these days and no where to go. There is no lobby, the courtyard is outdoors in open air with no place to sit and relax. It's downright cold when the sun goes down, so you have to be in your room to stay warm. The room itself only has a small window looking out into the courtyard, so your view is a wall. We felt too enclosed to spend three nights here. The breakfast was nice, with enough selections to give us variety, but the lack of spaces was a turnoff for us.

this was a very nice and clean hotel in a great location. We only had a very short time here, but the staff was very accommodating, and spoke great english. The breakfast buffet is nothing awesome, but had plenty of selections to fill your belly before treking to Machu Pichu. The bed was quite comfortable also.

Another gem in the middle of nowhere! Our tent, # 3, probably has the best views of the mountains of any of the tents. While the dinner menu is not extensive, the selections were more than generous portions, and tasty. The service was quick and efficient. We had a fire in our fireplace every night and all we had to ask for them to come start it. The grounds are filled with flora of all kinds in bloom, and very nicely kept.

What a gem! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, etc... The grounds are gorgeous with views of the ocean, and a number of different places to sit and relax, or have breakfast. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were more than adequate. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer!

Lots of confusion about our reservation when we arrived here. Our driver not only didn't speak english, he also didn't understand our spanish well. After going through several management, no one could determine why we were there, but since I could prove we had prepaid, they let us order off our special menu. The food was awesome! The llamas wandering throughout the dining room only added to the ambiance! The views are also incredible from here.

We got our tickets for Circuit 2 a year in advance, and it was well worth the wait! We had an amazing guide (Rolly, aka Roy) throughout the ruins, and even with the number of people there, he kept our pace at one that allowed us to enjoy the views without the crowds. He was also a decent photographer.

This was an incredible experience! It was awesome to see how everything was done, and the food was really good, and plentiful. The only complaint was we had special ordered the cuy for our lunch, and that message never reached the right person. I would definitely make time in your trip for this. Our driver dropped us off at the top of the hill where train tickets are sold, and we were told the Farm is next door, but that was not the case. So we spent some time trying to figure out where to go asking in our broken spanish! We eventually figured it out.

Street Food Tour in Historic Center - Excellent. Guide Shaila was informative and knowledgeable.
Cooking Class, Urban art and history - did not take place in Barranco, as promised. Market and restaurant were in Miraflores. Not particularly elucidating.

Ollantaytambo: Wonderful accomodations.
Sacred Valley Tour - Excellent guide, Esmeralda. She was knowledgeable and helpful.
Pachamanca Lunch at El Albergue - delicious and informative.
Machu Picchu - train/bus tickets were not provided to us by Miski Travel until we brought it to their attention. Caused us to worry that our travel was not reserved and panicky messages were exchanged.

Cusco:
Half Day Cusco Tour - Edwin was an excellent guide. The timing of the tour was confusing and the description of it not clear about start and end times.
We also discovered a HUGE mistake - our train ride from Cusco to Puno, scheduled for the next day, May 13, was never reserved. This train ride was going to be a highlight of the trip, after reading so much about it, and traveling in vans over rough roads for so many days. In short, we were looking forward to a change of pace and a relaxing experience.
It took many hours for us to deal with our extreme disappointment and is the main reason for the low rating given to the local specialist. The lack of communication was particularly disappointing. We should not have to concern ourselves with logistics that we were told were all set and that we had paid for.
We were given a large, comfortable van for the long drive to Puno, with an archaeological stop and comfort stops and lunch. This at least got us to Puno without anymore problems.

Lake Titicaca Tour
Wonderful guide, Jose Luis, and experience there.

My only complaint was the last day, when no transportation was provided for the cooking class. When we finally got there and found the area, it was late and we were unable to participate. Stacked against all of the positive, that was just a small glitch.
I still don't know why we had a charge of 500 dollars at Las Qolqas. I would like to know what it was for if possible. Could you do some research for me?
My daughter knows a couple of travel agents here in Billings, and she has shared with them several times who you are and how helpful you have been. We will definitely continue to spread the word and will again choose you when we travel again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful trip.

Our recent trip to Peru planned through Kimkim, with Kristy Tizon as our travel specialist, was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, personalized, and thoughtfully curated to match exactly what we were hoping to get out of the trip.

Kristy did an outstanding job designing an itinerary that balanced adventure, culture, and relaxation. Every detail—transportation, accommodations, guided tours—was handled with precision, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about logistics. Her communication throughout the planning process was prompt and insightful, and she was always willing to adjust plans based on our preferences.

Highlights of the trip included exploring the Sacred Valley, experiencing the rich history of Cusco, and, of course, visiting Machu Picchu—each made even more memorable by the knowledgeable local guides Kristy arranged. The accommodations were comfortable and well-located, and every transition between destinations felt effortless.

What truly set this experience apart was the level of personalization and care. It never felt like a generic, pre-packaged tour—every aspect reflected our interests and travel style. Even when minor questions came up during the trip, support was quick and helpful.

I would highly recommend booking through Kimkim and working with Kristy Tizon for anyone considering a trip to Peru. It was a stress-free, unforgettable experience, and we’re already looking forward to planning our next adventure
