The horse guide shall in general know that we do not come to Mongolia to do a horse riding tour along a busy country road. All the hotels/Ger Camps we stayd were very good and we enjoyed at the end having everytime our own bathrooms attached. The hotel in Karakorum was really good and nice to have after four days without a shower and toilet. Gobi Desert was really nice too and we truly enjoyed that we had expressed the wish that we do not change Camps every night in Gobi but rather stay in one camp for three nights. It meant maybe a little more driving but it was much more relaxed not having to pack and unpack very day. Plus it enabled our teenaged children to skip either a morning or afternoon excursion. The Dream Gobi Ger Camps was a very good camp to stay in. Also the Best Western Hotel in Ulaanbataar was a very nice hotel and top location. Maybe we could have left Ulaanbataar on the second day earlier to avoid more traffic and arrive earlier in the Hustai Ger Camp. Otherwise, we were very lucky during out trip that we only had rain showers in the evening with being in a camp or tent and otherwise, we had dry, warm and sunny days and in Gobi not too hot days.

We were only not so happy with the route they had in mind which was too close to a busy country road but they changed that after we complained. I feel so lucky to have experienced two weeks (15 days) in this country, exploring the north, central and south. We went horse riding to the west taiga tribe, visited Gobi Dessert, went camel riding, attended Nadam festival, visited Hutsai National Park and saw so many Przewalski's horses, milked horses, goats and yaks, visited a stunning waterfall and stayed in the ger's of many welcoming locals.

Thank you thank you thank you for such a fantastic trip!

We travelled to west to stay with Kazak eagle hunters and to the north to stay with the Tsaatan reindeer herders. We also saw natural wonders including the Lake Khovsgol, Jargant river and the wild Takhi horses. A visit to Mongolia wouldn’t be complete without historical sites and memorials

Our guide, Zaya, was excellent, working overtime to make sure we were always comfortable. Zaya’s historical and cultural knowledge were an essential part of the immersive experience.

Travelling in rural Mongolia can be challenging given the sparse landscape and weather conditions. However, Zaya worked tirelessly with our drivers and the local communities to ensure our tour always went smoothly and without issues.

I would definitely recommend a trip to Mongolia with Crystal for anyone looking for an adventurous experience wrapped in a premium tour.

My Guide NARA litterally saved my Trip as she knew very well the Country and immediatelly understood my way of travelling as a solo indipendent traveler with 60+ Countries in my shoes NOT looking for tourist-trap-alike experiences.
Therefore I highly reccommend her services!

On the other end, even if the communication started as much as 6 months before my trip (I always start very early preparing) and even if I was very specific about the fact that I didm't want to "buy" just a classic tour for the classical tourist group BUT just for 1 person but make it very clear I wanted something very specifically studied for myself and therefore willing to pay an important price, I found myself exactly in few typical tourists traps
Including 1 VERY bad hotel and a place so horrible in the sandy Gobi I had to make a drama scene to have it changed, again only thanks to my Guide.
And that's because the "local expert" doesn't check the places he sends ius guests.
BUT I have to give them the credit of having at list making my wish come try about a very flexible and probe soling guide.

Dear Gianluca,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're pleased to hear that you appreciated the dedication and professionalism of our guide, Nara, who worked hard to ensure a meaningful experience for you.
We’d like to kindly clarify that your tour was fully customized based on extensive communication over several months, with a confirmed itinerary and accommodation details shared and approved in advance.
While we understand that certain services did not meet your expectations, we did our best to accommodate your preferences during the tour — including making last-minute changes, such as arranging alternate accommodations in the Gobi Desert and facilitating a special local event upon your request.
The hotel and ger camps you mentioned are regularly used by international travelers, but we recognize that every guest’s experience is unique. Based on your feedback, we are reviewing some of our future accommodation partnerships, including discontinuing our cooperation with Bayangol ger camp.
We value all feedback and always strive to improve. Thank you again for your reflections.

Zara was an excellent guide. The trip was really well managed. However, we feel that the itinerary could have been better managed- For eg. we could have done places closer to Ulaan Batar towards the end of the trip instead of the beginning especially as there was a lot of driving towards the second half of the trip. Further, it would have been helpful if we were informed about the fact that there were ensuite accommodation available as well.

We have traveled the world but have never found a better firm than Premium Travel Mongolia. We unhesitatingly recommend this firm to anyone who wants an educational, comfortable, entertaining and enlightening overview of this wonderful, ancient yet modern country.
Crystal was very responsive and custom-built a trip to match our needs. The trip throughout central Mongolia was extremely well planned, with multiple adventures every day. From stays at ger camps - from luxurious to just plain comfortable - climbing volcanos, relaxing in hot springs, visiting historic and cultural sites and riding horses and camels, we never lacked opportunities to learn about this amazing country. We even got to work with golden eagles and participate in Naadam in Dalan ZadGad and learn about all the fascinating events.
We were extremely privileged to have Suvd for our guide and Tsogtoo for our driver. The best of the best. They both have a great sense of humor and kept us laughing the whole time. He is a highly competent, calm and careful driver who keeps the car spotless every day. Suvd, who speaks excellent English and gets every joke, has a wealth of knowledge about Mongolia's history, culture, celebrations, sports, flora and fauna. Both struggled to teach us to play the ankle bone game which provided a fun way to relax at the end of the day. Suvd went above and beyond by ensuring that all the camp cooks respected my dietary restrictions.
At the end of the trip we were overcome to find that the team had organized a 46th anniversary gift for us - everything we will need to continue to play the ankle bone game back home! We will never forget this trip and unhesitatingly recommend

-our nice guide was rather an interpreter not a guide. With mediocre english and almost no knowledge of Mongolian history and culture. Each question asked cause an intense discussion with a driver and a short two sentenced answer. No background of every day schedule, no history, no ethnical background. This was the case for 2 guides, one in Ulan Bator (a nice young boy, knowing nothing about places we visited) and a lady who spend 3 weeks with us (guiding was a summer job for her).
-there was no real plan for the days we have been driving, no foto stops, unless asked for, no piknic
Driving through Africa, Asia , we know it is possible to organize almost everything in every country and that was the kind of service we have always been receiving by KimKim. Not this time. Paying 20 k USD for 3 weeks we were expecting a superior treatment in a country where the most expensive hotel is 250 USD/night (in UlanBatar), and where we slept mostly in gerds (far different from 5star tents in Africa). Remember in Mongolia average salary is about 500 USD/month, and food is 20-40 USD/per day /two persons in restaurant.
Final conclusion, we always try to find our best during the vacation , so we really rest, but that was not due to Crystal efforts.

Your comments about the guides and the overall organization are very important to us, and we will review them carefully with our team to ensure that improvements are made. We regret that this trip did not align with the superior experiences you’ve had with us in the past. We will work on enhancing the training for our guides to better meet our standards.
Please know that we are committed to making things right and ensuring that future trips better reflect the high standards you expect from KimKim.

I had an incredible time in Mongolia! Baibolat was my guide to the Malchin Peak and was always attentive and caring about my well-being, especially during adverse weather. Always in time and showing me the plan ahead of time, I would definitely recommend him for any trip.

Crystal, the local specialist, was super helpful in coordinating all the work to book the trip, very responsive, and giving me all the information for the options I was looking for.
