Our trip to Taiwan was to experience the culture and people first hand, not just form opinions from the news. Based on my input to Shirley an itinerary was planned that exceeded our expectations. We are avid travelers and have been many places around the world - each experience we had in Taiwan was unique and memorable. Logan was a wealth of information and a pleasure to spend the days with. He listened well and anticipated our needs without being prompted. Shirley kept in touch throughout and behind the scenes worked with Logan on adjusting our itinerary (added a Kavalan Whiskey Distillery Tour) when a casual discussion with my husband revealed his interest in whiskey! Shirley did a great job in planning the trip for my wife and myself. We are both in our mid 70's and this was our first guided trip and would definitely do it again if we return to Taiwan. Logan, our driver/guide was also amazing. I ask a lot of questions and he was always able to come up with a correct answer. I particularly liked the restaurants and dishes he suggested as we traveled through the different regions of Taiwan. When we requested some changes in our original itinerary, Shirley and Logan worked closely together to make it happen.

We ( my two college aged ) kids just completed a week of travel / vacation in Taiwan. We used Toplogy tour agency. They handled all of our bookings from our car transfers to hotels, our amazing tour guide who was with us the entire week Ken Ho.
From the initial planning phase I worked with Shirley who helped me figure out an itinerary that let us see some of central Taiwan as well as the northern coast and Taipe city. It was a well balanced itinerary that gave us some great experiences like going to a tea plantation and picking tea leaves and than seeing the process of how the leaves are dried and processed. We had many other experiences where we got to interact with local people to see how they lived and their trades. Ken our tour guide was with us the entire week and drove us to all the locations, helped us with all the logistics like getting tickets, getting restaurant reservations and even helped us find someone to pick up and provide laundry service for all our clothes to be washed and folded in one day without us having to sit in a laundry facility for hours. And it was very affordable. He was very patient and had a very sweet disposition, always smiling and very knowledgeable about Taiwan’s history and the places we went to see. I highly recommend using Topology. We had a great experience in Taiwan this week and we owe much of it to them.

We did get an excellent overview of Taiwan and learned a lot about it. The mountain resort was amazing and the nature very beautiful. The infrastructure of the island is excellent by all means. The Japanese Heritage is surprising. Also suprising is, that there are not more really historical sites to see.

Our family trip to Taiwan was amazing and honestly, we could not have gotten by without having an English tour guide and a driver to drive to the places that we ended up going to. We started in Taipei and did tours up the north and then hopped in the van and drove all the way down the East Coast to the southern tip of the island then back up to the gorgeous mountains. James‘s driving skills were so safe and perfect on crazy tight roads. I just felt so safe with him in his gorgeous van that we could stand up in and it was so clean and well taken care of. Belynda’s English was amazing and she was so easy to understand and have conversations with. She was there for us on so many details from picking food to knowing exactly where to go when we did not choose all the major tourist cities. Kimkim helped make the itinerary for us with things that I honestly would’ve never chosen planning things on my own, and they turned out to be so fun and unique as we kind of traveled through. Stops along the way that I would’ve never known were there. Taiwan is definitely a country that as a family I would highly recommend having a private driver and tour guide if you want to see the outskirts. We will definitely be using Kimkim again in the future because it turned out so perfectly and let us kind of just sit back and relax instead of being so stressed about train schedules, and timing of everything. Shirley worked with us to customize an itinerary for our family of four, including two kids 10 and under. We had a fantastic trip with a great balance of planned activities and rest time. When we had particular requests about hotel styles and room layouts, Shirley engaged in a back-and-forth with us to get things just right, and even managed to get us a very early check-in after our long flight. Our driver, Reggie, was fantastic, keeping us on-time and adding in a few surprises. He was a calm, helpful presence on our trip, great with our kids and adaptable to our pace. We had a really wonderful, memorable trip and KimKim's service was a huge part of it.

Yilan's Market Tour, Farm Encounters and Tea Picking Experience

The Yilan market tour was a bit longer than we would have preferred, with more talking than food stops. Okay for adults, but our kids were a little restless. The Capybaras at the farm experience were a huge hit with the kids. The tea picking was a nice, calm end to the day.

I reached out to KimKim on very short notice (4 weeks!), and Shirley put together the MOST memorable trip for me and my adult son. She was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we experienced "off the beaten path" Taiwan while considering our specific requests (even making sure the beds would fit my very tall son!). Our driver/English-speaking guide, Reggie, was perfect. He tailored each day to our energy level, the weather, and food! Whether it be the Earthquake museum, hidden trails among the tea plantations, or (many) hidden restaurants we never would have found. I can not recommend Shirley and Reggie enough! The snorkelling was well organised and there were many fish to see. The visit to the Kenting National Park was very good, we could have spent more time there as there was lots to see.
