Best of Timbavati Game Reserve

Top itineraries and travel advice in and around Timbavati Game Reserve
Timbavati Game Reserve is one of the top three private game reserves in South Africa. Much like Sabi Sands, it’s also open to the Kruger National Park, meaning animals freely wander between the two areas. It’s also easily accessed from Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport and paired with other nearby safari experiences. Since this is a private reserve, it’s only open to guests with booking at the lodges, and all activities are guided.

Travelers who have time to spare are encouraged to spend the night in two separate lodges or camps within the reserve to maximize their experiences with wildlife viewing and the reserve’s many varied landscapes. Head out on a daytime game drive, night drive, or guided game walk to see how many species you can spot.
