The perfect Greece trip.

Everything was perfect! We were happy with every tour scheduled by Siena. She listened to me when I gave her the initial information of what we like to do and gave us the perfect amount of scheduled activities and free time. Unfortunately I only got a few names of the lovely people we had contact with but I will happily mention them when possible.

The Acropolis was so cool but very busy which is to be expected. I'm unsure if it's better to do it in the morning versus the late afternoon but it was very beautiful before sunset. Our guide was very sick and probably should have called in sick that day but did a great job in spite of it. Going later in the evening did put us in a great location for a rooftop to watch the sunset and it did not disappoint. Loved the "Olive Grove to Vineyards" tour and our driver Vasilias (i unfortunately deleted his contact info so I'm sure I'm misspelling his name) was exceptional! He is from the area so he had lots of personal info and history on the area plus he was great to converse with. The Markellos olive mill was a fun experience the facility is top notch and amazingly beautiful and to get a personal tour with the 4th (?) generation owner was so fun, you could feel the passion he has for the business. The wine tour was also beautiful. It was a busy weekend for them but they still gave us lots of personal attention and we loved the wine so much it came home with us.

The "Taste of Sifnos" tour was top notch! Ronia, our guide, was great and she made us feel like a local. Every location she took us felt so personal and it was so fun to spend time with her, we felt like we were spending a day in her life. She gave each of us some local products, some from each location that made it such a nice touch. Our hike through the villages was extraordinary! Beautiful views the entire hike and just the right amount of challenge for a vacation hike and our guide was so informative. Again, I'm unsure of his name, but the knowledge of history is astounding. This may be an unpopular opinion but Sifnos was my favorite island. I loved the slow pace and our hotel was perfect with perfect views and the owners of that hotel were so kind.

Milos was fun and the hotel location was perfect for lots of walking and it was easy to access the bus and taxis to get to other villages. Our hike with Mike was so cool and the various terrain we encountered didn't even appear real! Mike was also so knowledgeable to the history of the area and he is passionate to the preservation of the land. He had such a great personality and he made us feel like personal friends. Sarakiniko Beach is CRAZY! It felt like another world. Our catamaran trip was fun and took us to so many different locations., it's a great way to see parts of the island and to watch the sunset from the water. The crew was great and they fed us SO MUCH GREAT FOOD! I don't know if it's worth noting but we were the oldest couple on the boat but we still had a great time.

Naxos was great and perfect location to the beach and many restaurants. The "Mythology Sunset Walk" in Naxos was fun and we were joined by a group of fun couples. Our guide, Angelikki (again, unsure of the spelling) was a delight and I believe she said this was her first year of doing the tour but you'd never know. It was fun to walk through the village and do the wine tasting, we covered a lot of ground! Ending at the Temple of Apollo makes for a beautiful ending to the walk and also put us in a great location to eat at a great restaurant. The "Private Countryside Walk" with our guide was extraordinary. We, unfortunately, also forgot his name but it was so fun to do a leisurely walk through the villages and it also felt like we were on a walk with a close friend. We did another olive tasting which was completely different from our tasting in Athens and it was fun to see how they orginally processed olives in the original mill; it was a very labor intensive process!! Our guide had an expansive knowledge of the culinary world so he was fun to talk to in regards to greek wine and the food we ate. Random fact; our guide is an animal lover and on our walk he had kibble for the cats and fed many of them on our walk which I enjoyed immensely.

Everything went great! Our hotels were beautiful and every one felt like it was in the perfect location. Even the last hotel in Athens where we stayed for less than 24 hours was great. They knew were checking out at 3:30am the next morning and packed a breakfast for us! Who does that?!! It was such a kind and personal touch. The addition of the app is a game changer!!! We used kimkim for Italy last year and communication was great but it was nice to be able to look ahead and plan and it was so easy to access our tickets for the ferry and to know who to look for when we had drivers. We will 100% be using kimkim again and I have recommended you to anyone who listen!! Thank you Siena (and Grant) for a perfect trip.
