We just returned from an absolutely amazing trip to Greece and Italy, and we can’t thank Chris enough for making it all possible! From the very beginning, Chris took the time to understand exactly what we wanted — a mix of history, culture, food, and relaxation — and created the perfect itinerary.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned: smooth transfers, beautiful hotels in ideal locations, and incredible local experiences that we never would have found on our own. Even during the trip, Chris and his team checked in regularly and was always available if we had questions or needed assistance. It truly felt like we had a trusted friend looking out for us the entire time.

Divine Delphi Excursion

This is our first tour in Greece and one of the best. Delphi is a lot less crowded than Acropolis so we really had time to appreciate the Delphi Archaeological Museum and the archaeological site. We also had a really good tour guide who explained everything so well.

We planned a trip to celebrate my nieces high school graduation. My sister, niece, daughter and myself went and we had an amazing time. Angelic was absolutely wonderful at helping g pick out what islands we should go to and offering different ideas for what tours we would do. She was very easy to deal with and prompt in her responses. All through the trip she checked in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly and offered help when we couldn’t get into our first rental. We couldn’t figure out how to open the locked box. The drivers she arranged were always on time and made us feel well taken care of. The tour guides always had our reservations and if they were private tours they came to get us from our hotels. When we had to leave to catch our flights home Angelic had already phoned the hotel to make sure they would be there at 6:15 am to help us carry our luggage(if you’ve stayed in Santorini you would understand how important that is as the steep stairs are a bit crazy when you don’t live there! The hotels are beautiful on the cliff sides.) I have no complaints about the service we received from Kim Kim and Angelic at all and would recommend it to anyone!

Siena did a great job. My only negatives really don't concern KIM KIM. Diver was rude and not helpful in Santorini. Also the A/C did not work in the hotel.
The gentlemen who did our private Acropolis & Acropolis Museum Experience was great. So knowledgeable ,funny and kind. Also the gentlemen who did Meteora Private Off-the-Beaten-Path Villages & Countryside Excursion, Self-Guided Visit to Churches and Monasteries was very passionate and very kind.

Erica and Lea developed an amazing itinerary for us that gave us room to enjoy ourselves when we weren't on an fun and fascinating excursion. From Athens through the Cyclades islands of Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini to Crete, we enjoyed the weather, the food, the landscape and all of the historic ruins of archeaologic significance. The catamaran cruise from Crete was fantastic. The cruise with the Santorini Yacht Club i wouldn't recommend or do again. The crew wasn't friendly, the boat wasn't well taken care of and the food was awful.
Aside from this hiccup, we had a wonderful time. Sept-Oct is a great time to see Greece.

All of the hotels were great, they were in great locations and the rooms were nice. They included breakfast were also very nice. All the transfers went smoothly except for the pickup at Athens airport the person who was supposed to pick us up canceled last minute and we had to take a taxi but it was reimbursed as well as was the cost of the original driver reimbursed. Like I said the rest of the transfers went smoothly. All the tours that we took were also great, the tour guides spoke English well and were entertaining and engaging and gave a lot of interesting information. I also thought it was great to experience the contrast between the city of Athens and the smaller cities of Heraklion and Chania on Crete. There was a mix-up with the biking tour on Chania, when we got there the bike shop said there were no tours scheduled. However, they did take us on the tour anyway and we ended up getting a private tour instead of a group tour but I'm not sure how the mix-up happened. The tour guide himself was wonderful and the 25 mile bike ride was amazing. We were very sad that the Samaria gorge hike had to be canceled due to thunderstorms and we did not have time to reschedule so that was a major bummer but nothing anyone could do about it. We also really enjoyed the food tour of Chania, our guide was really great and it was nice to meet the other two couples on the tour we all had a great day together. I loved the convenience of Kim Kim taking care of all the accommodations tours and transfers for me and would definitely recommend. Also both Erica and Lea were helpful and easy to contact.

Amazing e-bike tour, the bike itself was very cool, you could paddle without assistance or anywhere from level one to four assistance depending on how steep the hill was. Some of the hills were very steep and would not have been possible without the pedal assist but you still have to pedal the whole time so I still felt like I was riding a bike not a motorcycle or anything but it definitely made the impossible possible with those steep hills. Our guide was fantastic, he always lived in the area and knew everything about the area. He took us to his own personal Olive Grove and taught us a lot about Olive oil production. We saw so many great things, it was a really wonderful tour

We loved our private guides for everything. The hiking guide listened to us and took us on a challenging hike and since we finished early he took us to a place where we got to see how olive oil was made and how various olives tasted. Our guides on the both the bike tour and tha Acropolis were extremely knowledgeable about their areas and we learned a lot of information.

Our trip to Santorini and Crete was absolutely amazing! Angela went above and beyond to plan every detail perfectly. The tour guides were outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the local culture. All private transfers were right on time, making everything seamless and stress-free.

We really enjoyed touring the Naxos country side on e-assist bikes with Manos Vassilas leading us around and narrating stories about the areas along the way. He took us to the Kouros archaeological site and to an Olive Mill where we learned how olive oil is made and also sampled some. Manos also took a video of us and shared it with us and we enjoyed visiting the family farm and then eating some of the food made at that farm. The view of the Aegean Sea on the way back was beautiful!

Old Town Food Walk

We loved Naxos and the Food Tour was great! We met our group and welcoming and friendly guide, Ellana, at 5 pm and then walked all around Naxos Town kicking off our journey with delicious samples of Naxos cheese, lime and fig nibbles, lemon honey bread and a local white wine. We continued into picturesque winding streets up toward the ancient castle to meet our sweet greek grandmother host for an olive oil tasting session, starting with the extra virgin oil, which was also award winning, hot, and spicy in our throats! Sampled many olive oils, some flavored with rosemary, basil and chile peppers drizzled on popcorn. She also served us sweet homemade greek cakes. After buying some olive oil we continued along a complex labyrinth maze (designed to lose pirates) toward the 360 degree sunset view bar, Avaton, through small white and stone walkways with bougainvillea hanging from trellises, and passageways around and through castle walls. Our group wrapped up the tour with a nice dinner at the restaurant, Apostolis, sipping squash soup, and eating greek salad in bread bowls with fluffy whipped goat cheese, Naxos potatoes with kalamata olives and capers, red onion, and cheese, lamb stew with phyllo crust, and zucchini fritters. Such a great way to experience Naxos.

Leo was awesome and we learned alot about Athens! We walked all over Athens as saw the changing of the guard, many embassies, the upscale area of Kolonoki, student and young thinker hangout spots, grabbed a drink with the group at a local cafe, walked through the meat, fish, veggie and fruit markets then through Psirri square, ending at Monastiraki square. The tour really helped us feel comfortable navigating our way around the city.

Coincidentally, I did love the trip although if she (Janice left out one or two tours ..... so I could rest that would have been nice to.). The islands and guides were memorable although those with thicker accents could have spoken slower and covered less. Overall I would highly recommend KIMKIM. OMG… you guys are terrific! Everything was planned out and all planned activities came off flawlessly. We had many times where pickups and drop offs occurred and everyone met us on time. Loved how Kimkim set up our tours that were all private. Maria in Athens was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Alexander showed us Mykonos in the four wheel jeep. Great guy! So friendly and showed us beautiful places that tourists don’t usually go. Then on Naxos, we helped prepare the Greek luncheon with Nikos and Constantina. We loved being with them and we found it so hard to leave! Then on to Santorini. Simply spectacular. The sunset cruise was truly a great way to end our trip. Also, a special thanks to the Kimkim team for surprising my wife with flowers and champagne on the boat for our 35th wedding anniversary. You had her crying for joy!
All of your accommodations were first class and located in the perfect locations. Loved how you planned the itinerary….Great job Kimkim . (We are also looking to book our 3rd Kimkim vacation to Morocco…. Hopefully sometime in 2026)

A must thing to do on Santorini. Our crew took care of all of our needs and took us to beautiful locations. The tour included a delicious Greek barbecue. There was plenty of time to swim and snorkel.

Constantina started off by giving us a complete tour of the farm and what they grow. The view from the farm was amazing. We helped prepare a luncheon with all fresh food right from the farm. While waiting for the food to cook in an open oven, Constantine and Nikkos entertained us with the history of Naxos. It was a great way to hear about Greek cuisine while drinking home made Rose wine.

Our hotel in Santorini ended up being a dump. This impacted our entire trip, both our first time in Greece and our first time even in Europe. Our travel Agent at 'Somewhere We Know' refused to believe our complaints until we put together a detailed 3-page review with pictures and a list of the lies on the resort website (for example, they claimed to have a poolside bar with service, which did not exist; rooms were supposed to come with robes and slippers, also not true... the list is long, in addition to the complete run down, broke-down aspects of the facility itself). After we made it very clear that the resort website was a complete misrepresentation and false advertising, they did offer a refund on our stay, but acted like this was a huge favor. We paid top dollar to have local, expert recommendations as we planned our trip. This resort should have never even been an option and, like, I said, this impacted our entire stay and was valued at much more then just the cost of the room at the resort.

Further, in the middle of our stay we were informed by Somewhere We Know that, due to high winds, our ferry to Naxos would likely be cancelled. This would leave us stranded in a foreign country with no where to stay, and no tickets to leave the island once it was safe to do so. As a result, the recommended we book a villa and ferry tickets for the following days. The good news is that the ferry did run as originally planned so we were able to continue our trip in Naxos. The bad news is that we were charged for the villa and additional ferry tickets. While we did authorize this booking, we were shocked that Somewhere We Know also charged us an additional 226 Euros to aid us in that situation. FYI: The travel agent contacted us to let us know of this potential delay and encouraged the bookings, which felt like a money grab and a fear tactic at its worst; just poor advice at its best.

Somewhere We Know touts itself as a travel agency that will "personally take care of every single detail of your trip and are available to assist you anytime 24/7." We paid $12,000+ dollars for our trip originally (EXCLUDING AIRFARE from US to Athens), expecting this level of service. We PAID good money for a service that we did not get on the Santorini leg of our trip, and then we paid even more when our trip was possibly delayed and we had to utilize the service they originally charged us for. These fees were taken out of what they refunded, which left us with very minimal compensation.

While there were some wonderful things about our trip and some good suggestions from #SomewhereWeKnow, these two issues were major, communication following the trip was disappointing and the resolution would have been unsatisfactory to anyone in our situation.

This hotel is a DUMP. Do not be fooled by the website. It may have been nice serval years ago, but it is not only completely broken-down, but many of the items touted on their website are lies: 1. Their description said “Bathrooms… come equipped with bathrobes and slippers.” This is not true. No bathrobes or slippers are provided. In fact, we were only allowed one towel every two days, and only one pool towel for our entire stay. 2. Their description said, “an indulgent Champagne breakfast is included”. This is not true. Champaign was not provided, and the selection was very basic, including options like a 1-egg “omelet” with nothing in it or corn flakes with milk. 3. The website shows breakfast being served on outdoor tables with cushioned chairs and white tablecloths. Instead, the tables were rickety and badly peeling, and the chairs were both broken and without cushions. 4. Their website states that is “a pool bar that serves drinks throughout the day.” This is also not true. No bar. No drinks. No service. 5. The website advertises the Moonlit Suite as having an “outdoor private HOT tub”. While there is an outdoor “tub”, the water was ice cold, it was dirty and the jets did not work. 6. The website says there is a Porter. This is also not true. 7. The room material noted that we should not drink the water but stated that two bottles of water would be delivered daily. That was not true. When we asked about water, we were told we could buy some at a store across the street. 8. The room material noted that each room has a mini bar. Again, this is a lie. 9. The website shows a small but clean luxury resort. Instead, we arrived to find loose wiring, broken tables and chairs, missing or stained and torn cushions, haphazard painting, rusted fixtures, mostly dead plants, an abundance of BLACK MOLD in the bathrooms and overall lack of maintenance. 10. The pool was full of algae. I could go on and on but you get the idea. DON'T STAY HERE and SHAME ON THEM!!!

This was a ton of fun and a great way to explore the streets of "Old Town". The description made it sound like a few small snacks and drinks but it was actually a lot of food that culminated in a full sit-down dinner with our small tour group (maybe 12 people).

My husband didn't want to do this and we almost skipped it. Would have been a shame. Ended up being the highlight of our trip. The location was charming. The owners were welcoming and engaging. The class itself was relaxed and fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our trip was on my bucket list for 30 years. The team at KimKim made it all come true. We started planning our trip with Eleni in 2023, and decided the timing wasn’t right. Two years later we contacted KimKim and they still had our 2023 itinerary in their system so we weren’t starting from scratch. All KimKim arrangements were great, transportation at every travel point was on time, pre-printed tickets for high speed ferries and local flights were in our packet, as well as the sailing and other excursions were all planned out. All the hotels and accommodations were exactly what we asked for. KimKim was available to us al during the trip answering our questions in a timely manner, they made our vacation a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. We will use KimKim again.

This is our third KimKim adventure. It was the first time we rented a car to possibly have more flexibility. Everything was smooth when we landed in Athens and hopped to Crete. We were met but Kosta from Kosmos car rental and got a new car (but the windshield washer did not work). Off to Rethymno and we realized how Greeks drive. The double yellow lines in the center of the road is merely a suggestion. After a while driving went from unnerving to terrifying. Our hotel in old town Rethymno was lovely and so were the people there. We know you recommended staying in Chania and Heraklion and we elected to stay in Rethymno. We wish that you had persuaded us and said something about Greek drivers. As it was, we eliminated trips to Elafonisi beach and other places. We went to a beautiful beach Skinaria, the drive through the gorge was beautiful. The last leg of the drive to the beach was again terrifying. It really put a damper on our beach trips. We take some responsibility as you did warn us that it was 2.5 hours to Elafonisi. The tour of the Palace of Knossos was fabulous and Viv is a great tour guide. The museum was amazing. The hotel was nice and the people very friendly and helpful. The room was OK but we read that room 106 has a balcony and that would have been nicer.
Our tour of Chania with Petros was very good too. Parking was very challenging but manageable.
Athens was great. The Elysium was a beautiful venue for dinner with a perfect view of the Parthenon. The hotel was delightful. The car pick up was perfectly convenient and getting out of Athens was surprisingly easy. Hearing about the marathon scheduled for that day made us apprehensive but not a problem. Also it was nice to have a hotel with an elevator.
Nafplio; the drive was straightforward but after our experiences in Crete we were nervous and omitted some of the planned drives. The Athena hotel in Nafplio is beautiful with a nice room at the top floor. Of course, 70 stairs from the lobby to our room carrying heavy bags was not top of my list of exercises. I am 71 years old. I suppose I should have checked into that.
On our last KimKim adventure (Portugal) we thought about renting a car but then changed our minds. I wish we had done it differently on the trip.

Athena Hotel Nafplion

If you are healthy enough to take a lot of stairs (70) then try for the rooftop room. Amazing views to the castle, the city and the harbor. If you are not in the best of shape, the stairs can be a lot. There is no elevator. Also, we could have used a better description of the location as we drove right past it using GPS. There is no parking at the hotel but you can briefly park 10 meters away. Parking is touch and go. There are parking lots and if you are lucky you can get a place not too far from the hotel.

A very nice venue with the best shower of the 3 hotels. The room had a good amount of space.

Room 107 has small floor-level windows. The restaurant is great, and the breakfast offerings are delicious and with a lot of options. Beds are comfortable, the shower is nice and the AC works well. Get room 106 as it has the only balcony. The staff are delightful and very helpful.

Petros was very accommodating as we got there a bit late due to traffic and could not find parking close to the meeting spot. He is very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He recommended a great place for lunch that was not overwhelmed by tourists. Chania is a delightful place with a lot of history to explore.

We had an unforgettable trip to Athens-Milos-Santorini the last two weeks of September planned by Angela. Everything was seamless and perfect: transportation quality vehicles-great drivers- and easy; beautiful hotels with delicious bountiful breakfasts included and comfortable beds; excursions were fabulous with awesome knowledgeable guides. Weather was perfect and minimal crowds. All restaurants had fabulous food and cocktails. Our favorite island was Milos and favorite excursion the catamaran cruise around Milos.

First, I want to say that this is our fourth trip with Kim Kim. Kim Kim is an amazing travel service We have never been disappointed but every trip has far surpassed out expectation.

The same is true for our trip to Greece. We spent 10 days splitting the time between Athens, Naxos (a trip to Mykonos), and Santorini. The accommodations were amazing with the most beautiful view and locations. The transports were on time. The private tours were informative with knowledgeable our guides. Siena put together an amazing itinerary.

We again came home with not one complaint. Everything was perfect. Thank you Kim Kim for another wonderful trip. Siena, you know your stuff. Thank you,

I presented a challenge to Chris: design a trip for a group of 10, aged 8 to 80, who have never been to Greece. He did the most amazing job. Everything happened like clockwork, even when our group didn't. The locations, the hotels, the transportation, and the guides were on point. I wholeheartedly recommend Chris and Kimkim. We bought our flights but that was not an issue even when significantly delayed; our drivers were waiting for us. Chris managed to fit in all that we wanted to see and do on our trip - visit archaeological sites, stay in relaxing hotels, and go on food and history tours. All 10 of us agree it was a trip we will never forget. My only suggestion - there was a bit too much honey and cheese in the tours (but I did ask for food tours). Thanks, Chris!
