I booked a trip to Myanmar with Anne and it was one of the best trips I've ever had going solo. My itinerary was specifically tailored to my wants and needs. I spent 7 days in Myanmar, visiting Yangon, Lake Inle and Bagan with a mixture of sight-seeing and learning the history of Myanmar, eating delicious food and spending time with local families.

Anne (the trip planner) has been a god-send, super experienced and knowledgeable about Myanmar, but also most importantly very accommodating and lightning quick with any questions I might have. Throughout the entire trip, we would be in touch constantly over Whatsapp. Anne would always send a message here and there to know if everything was okay.

The whole process was seamless, from my initial chat to my first steps outside of Yangon airport everything was taken care of.

The guides in each different were so down-to-earth, so knowledgeable but I think most importantly, absolutely passionate and devoted to their job but also to their country, which makes for a riveting holiday experience. Nothing was rushed with the daily itinerary according to my energy levels! I had Hnin-Hnin in Yangon, Thet Wai in Inle and Zaw Htun in Bagan.

Hotels were up to standard, (a bit big for me as I was travelling solo) and also located centrally to most things, like markets, convenience stores and local historical sites.

Transportation was also great, the drivers were all very courteous and professional. But try and use alternative methods of transport if you can; bike, scooter or walking is best to see and experience the real life of the Burmese people.

Lastly, Myanmar is really opening up to the world, and although it is a bit far from the rest of the world, it is a must for people who love travelling through Asia. The country has some of the most magical scenery I've ever seen. Taking a boat across Lake Inle , and although I never got the chance to do it, taking a hot-air balloon ride over Bagan are two must-dos. And lastly, Myanmar is extremely safe place. The people are super friendly! Never on my trip did I ever feel like I was in danger.

If you are like me, been to Vietnam, Thailand or Cambodia, then make sure you use Anne and book a trip to Myanmar! It's been a life-changing trip!
