A memorable visit to Chile's Araucanía region

We had a truly memorable experience in Chile thanks to Lorena Huidobro, from Turismo Milodon, our kimkim-appointed tour company. Lorena arranged for us a wonderful five-day, outdoor-oriented visit to La Araucanía region of the country, centered around the small town of Pucón, at the foot of the majestic Villarrica volcano and next to the lake of the same name. Led by expert tour guides from locally-based Rehue Expediciones (Ermin and Ricardo), we hiked Conguillío and Huerquehue National Parks and some of the Lagos Andinos, all areas of stunningly unique beauty. Lorena also arranged for us stays at two top-notch accomodations: Antumalal Hotel and Rakau Lodge --the latter we would especially highly recommend to any visitors to the area. Lorena's expert advice and attention to detail truly paid off. We also appreciated Turismo Milodon's follow-up while we were in-country. And last but not least, while we were in Santiago, Lorena was able to arrange for us on very short notice a great private day trip to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, knowledgeably led by Hernán and driver Gabriel.
